Making the playoffs as 8th seed vs lottery
Oliver P replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
Definitely the playoffs. I am 100% against tanking I can't and will never understand that some teams lose on purpose... Well it's true that it allowed the Spurs to get Duncan in 97 so I can undersand it to some extent, but frankly it is not what sport is all about at all. That's why I always said that the NBA should do something to prevent the teams from tanking, it's honestly outrageous. Speaking about the Spurs I never understood how Robinson could accept to stay on the injury list when the Spurs staff asked him to... He eventually came back for the very last games of the season but he could have come back way earlier. That's not what a leader's supposed to do. A leader's supposed to make all what he can to make his team win EVERY game. That's why I never was a fan of Robinson anyhow... Well at least it allowed him to win two rings thanks to Duncan's leadership... Jordan would have never accepted something like that. Jordan was a true competitor. When he arrived in the league he said it very clearly "with me on the team the Bulls will make the playoffs every year." And so they did... That's what a true leader's all about. Besides when he missed almost the entire season in his second year in the league he came back anyway and allowed his team to make the playoffs. Sure the Bulls didn't win anything that year, and actually they were swept by the C's but at least they played one of the best first round series ever against the mighty Celtics and Jordan scored the most points ever in a playoffs game. I'd say that it was certainly worth it to make the playoffs that year. Rings are not everything. Of course it's what matters the most, that's true but certainly not the only thing that matters. You can make history many other way. The Nuggets in 94, Knicks in 99 and Warriors in 07 made history. They are the only 8th seed to ever beat a first seed in the playoffs. They didn't win but they made history nonetheless. The Nuggets-Sonics in 94 were an epic series. One of the best series ever. EVERYONE was sure that the Sonics would SWEEP the Nuggets that year. Well the Nuggets beat them 3-2 in spite of the "Not in our home" signs that the Sonics fans hold in the game 5... The Nuggets became the first team to ever beat a 1st seed. The Knicks are the only 8th seed to ever make the Finals. The 99 playoffs were an amazing adventure, even if we eventually lost in the Finals. And I definitely prefer to see the Knicks having such a great adventure than seeing them getting a 1st draft pick, you can be sure of that. Especially that it's not because you get a first draft pick that you will win a ring for sure... It's impossible to predict the future, nothing comes with a guarantee. That's why you gotta do everything you can to win the more games you can RIGHT NOW. And even if they do not win a series some teams can accomplish great things nonetheless. Take the Bulls-Celtics that we had a couple of years ago, the Bulls didn't win but the Bulls fans have every reason to be proud of their team, they had an unbelievable performance and thanks to them (and the C's of course) we watched one of the best series ever. All those performances are priceless experiences. We have some exciting series in the first round all the time ! The playoffs is a unique experience it had nothing to do with the regular season. Jordan once said that the regular season can be boring sometimes, it's like going to work everyday, but the playoffs are a totally different adventure. The NBA playoffs is the ultimate of basketball in the world. That's why you gotta do everything you can to make it to the playoffs every year. No matter how the Knicks were terrible the whole last decade, we had no chance to win any ring but I kept on rooting for them every game, I never thought about tanking. I only thought about the lottery when the season was over. That's what sports are all about, winning as much as you can, RIGHT NOW. -
In fact I totally forgot it (mainly because the original movie has a different name in French..) but I watched the original True Grit lol, well not entirely though just the ending... Still need to watch it entirely. But yeah from what I saw the last version is clearly better, I agree. It has to be better anyhow, it's the Coen... It's an exception though cause I usually always prefer the original to the remake. Only a few remakes are better IMO, like Nosferatu for example, the Herzog version was better, mainly because of Klaus Kinski's unbelievable performance. The only one I can think of off the top of my head but there are probably a couple of other remakes that I prefer than the original version. Awesome glad you liked it. I don't know how many times I watched this movie, really love it. I'm a huge fan of Billy Crystal anyhow (too bad he doesn't host the Oscars any longer, if it was up to me he would host them every year lol), I really like Daniel Stern and Bruno Kirby too (Bruno's father, Bruce, is an actor that I like a lot too, he played many times in my favorite TV show ever, Columbo). And let's not forget about the great Jack Palance, a true legend, his role is not as important in this movie but his character is just hilarious, it's always great to see him anyhow. Anyway today I watched Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. http://atnzone.com/nz/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/dirty_rotten_scoundrels.jpg Very funny movie, Michael Caine and Steve Martin are awesome as usual. And I was quite surprised by the ending, didn't expect the movie to end that way.. Had a very good time, I'm gonna give it a solid 8/10.

First of all... anything can happen in one game. Don't you remember this little bet we had on a Knicks-Spurs a couple of years ago, at the time when there was no star whatsoever in New York for example ? Don't you remember this David Lee avatar that you had to wear for a week ? I can't believe that you forgot something like that... This game was actually even worse as the Spurs knew each other very well in that game, the same cannot be said for New York yesterday. Second of all we had just a major trade, you can't expect us to play rightaway at our best ! Let's not get ahead of ourselves and try to be a little patient here... I watch this game for long enough to know that developping a chemistry takes some time. A LOT of time. We have not enough games left in the remainder of the season, we will slowly get better games after games and we definitely will be better soon, but we will not be able to be at our best before the next season you can be sure of that. Third the Lakers also lost against the Cavs. Does that mean that they will not be champs this year ? Well maybe they will not but you can be sure that they will be there, at their best, in the playoffs, and that if they lose, it's gonna be very, VERY hard for a team to beat them. Anything can happen in one game. ANYTHING. There's absolutely nothing to conclude out of this game.

Two And a Half Men Canceled For Remainder of Season
Oliver P replied to htown11's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Bummer... I usually ain't a big fan of TV shows but Two and a Half Men is an exception, the only current TV show that I like. I never miss that show. So it's definitely a bummer for me... Well anyhow it's sad to see that Charlie Sheen never learned his lesson. I mean he already blew up his movie career because of alcohol and drugs, he managed to have a succesful TV show career and he's blowing it again... That's sad. But hey after all that's his life. In this particular case I don't know who's in fault as we only know what we're told here, and I frankly don't want to know anyway. I don't care. All I hope is that Two and a Half Men will be back next September. If not so be it, but that would be a sad ending for the best show I've seen in years. -
We, the New York Knickerbockers are now officially back. And watching this team play against the Bucks gave me such a unbelievable feeling... I mean I was so used to watch a horrible team the last decade that it was weird to see Anthony, Billups and Stoudemire with a Knicks jersey. I had the feeling that it was not the Knicks, that it was actually another team. Such a weird feeling... but such a great feeling ! Yeah such an unbelievable feeling that I wanted to share it in this forum. Which is why I decided to create this thread. And I propose to every Knicks fan to share how they feel about this new team as well, that is if they want to... Yeah what a great game yesterday. 27 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist... The least that we can say is that it didn't take long to Melo to adapt to his new team ! Same for Billups, 21 pts, 6 rbds, 8 asts and 2 stls. Contrary to what many people thought Billups definitely showed that he is just perfect to run D'Antoni's offense. He also had the play of the game : Here's now Carmelo's highlight from this game : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNCPZZ6ia1c Yeah it is honestly great to see Stoudemire, Anthony and Billups together. I mean it's like a dream come true. I can't even express what I feel it's just unbelievable... I mean being the fan of a decent team AT LAST ! Those past years I was starting to believe that it would never happen again, that we would suck forever... But it's happening now. We are officially back. We have a chance to win one or several rings in this decade. We can hope again. Yeah, unbelievable feeling... I honestly feel like I'm gonna cry lol. I haven't been this excited to be a Knicks fan since the 90's. Well not quite true actually, the last time I was this excited was in 2004 when we got Marbury. I really thought that he would get us back in business at the time, just like most fans I suppose, well I was so wrong.... It sure didn't last. I remember what it was to be a Knicks fan in the 90's (it seems to me that it was such a long time ago now...), it was so great. When we were a solid contender every year. I've missed that era so much the last decade... It was so great to root for your team in the playoffs, to root for them in hot series against teams like the Bulls, the Rockets, the Pacers, etc... It was such a great feeling. A feeling that I missed the entire 2000's... How did we manage to suck this much this past decade ? How did all this happen ? I'm not even sure I remember exactly... Well in fact it all started with the Ewing trade for Glen Rice. A big mystake. Rice was clearly not the player that he was with Charlotte any longer and we already had Houston and Spree in the team. Spree had to play PG at times. That was ludicrous. And even if Ewing was out of his prime and was starting to get really old it was still dumb to trade him for that... It's then that we started to get in trouble. We still made the playoffs this year but got surprisingly kicked out of the first round by the Raptors. I remember that Shaquille O'Neal said : "this is what happens when you trade a legend". Which was very surprising coming from him as, for those who don't know it, he and Ewing hated each other in the 90's. But he was right anyhow, he was sadly right... Then we really started to suck. And we have no valuable player to trade, no one wanted Spree or Houston contracts. And then it was a succession of bad contracts and terrible draft picks... And Isiah Thomas became our GM and coach and... well I don't even want to talk about that. But now all of this is over. We are contenders again. Sure we will not win a ring this year (although I have to admit that I want to say that we will but I won't be such a homer haha) but we now have a bright future. We will be able to root for our team in the playoffs. That's what I missed the most this last decade, not being able to root for my team in the playoffs or having to root for another team... But it's over. Knicks fans will be able to root for their team in the playoffs again !!! I know it might seem crazy but only people who were a fan for as long as I can understand that... Yeah such an unbelievable feeling... We are the New York Knicks !! Go New York Go New York Go !!!

Thanks. Lost weight ?! Lol it only "looks" like it then cause it's actually the opposite... I'm almost 230 pounds if you wanna know lol, I need to start a diet. In fact I decided to start one today (no joke lol) I hope it will work out.
Anyway yeah I'm more than happy. We got a real team at [expletive]ing last !!! Those 2000's years were so depressing...

Today I watched True Grit. It was released today in France and I came back from the theater a couple of hours ago. http://www.swiss-dvd.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/True-Grit-laffiche.jpg A bit different from the Coens other movies, it was more "mainstream", but they already did other mainstream movies in the past like The Hudsucker Proxy, Intolerable Cruelty or O Brother. So it's not my favorite Coen movie but not my less favorite at the same time (I love all of their movies anyway, definitely my favorite filmmakers). Even if it was more "mainstream" it was very good nonetheless, I had a great time watching it. Jeff Bridges is just hilarious in it. And all the actors are great. It makes me wanna see the original version with John Wayne, that I have not seen yet.. I'd say that my very favorite Coen movies are Barton Fink, Blood Simple, Fargo, No Country For Old Men and The Big Lebowski. True Grit is not in that first tier but is definitely in the second tier : Miller's Crosing, Raising Arizona, Ladykillers, True Grit, The Man Who Wasn't There, Burn After Reading, A Serious Man and O Brother Where Art Thou ?. The third tier is : Intolerable Cruelty and The Hudsucker Proxy. The two Coen movies that I enjoyed the less but still very enjoyable nonetheless. Again I love all their movies. Well anyway it was once again a very good movie, I'm never disappointed with the Coens, I give it a 9/10. Can't wait for the next Coen movie !

Thanks for the compliment man, I highly appreciate but "basketball genius" is definitely exaggerated lol... And yeah it's true that I don't post often but I never really was insanely active anyhow and this year I'm busier in really life so I can't be more active than that... But I'm glad to see that some people enjoy my posts haha. Anyhow back to topic for me the answer is Michael Jordan. I fact I believe that Michael is the best scorer of All Time. As I already said many times for me it's when it matters the most, in the playoffs and the Finals, that you see who the best players really are. And Jordan's scoring records in the playoffs and Finals are just beyond belief. First of all the Finals records : Jordan averaged 41 PPG against Phoenix in 93 which is the best scoring average ever in a Finals series. He scored 55 points in one game of the same 93 Finals, it's the second best ever performance in a finals game. He scored at least 20 points in 35 consecutive Finals games, another record (second is West with 25). He also scored at least 30 points in 9 Finals games, second best ever (Baylor was number one). He scored at least 40 points in 4 Finals games in a row, NBA record. He scored 35 points in one half of a finals game, NBA record once again. Also even if Jordan's weakness has always been the long range shot (certainly not the mid range shot, Jordan is definitely one of the very best mid range shooters ever and, contrary to what a lot of people think (yes a lot of people think that Jordan became a good shooter after his return in 95, well even if he attacked the rim more often he was already a very good shooter in the first part of his career), the mid range jump shot has always been his main weapon in fact) let's not forget that he hit 6 three pointers in one Finals game which was an NBA record at the time. It's now the third best NBA Finals performance for most 3 pters in one game. I have to precise that before the last Finals and Ray Allen's performance (8 three pointers), the record was 7 held by Smith and Pip who BOTH made that record when the three points line was closer to the rim . It's very important to take that in consideration. And Jordan also scored his six 3 pointers in one half. Second best NBA Finals record (behind Ray's 7 last year so), tied with Kenny Smith who did it once again when the three points line was closer to the rim. Then some other playoffs series records : Jordan scored 63 points in a playoffs game. NBA record. He's also the third in that same stat with 56 points in one game. He scored more than 20 points in a playoffs game 60 times in a row. NBA record. He has the second and third best scoring average for a playoffs series with 45.2 PPG and 45 PPG. The first once again is an Old School player, it's Jerry West. Very important fact : the players who were the closest to Jordan for each of these records all played in another era. Jordan did all this in our era which is even more impressive. Jordan always scored more points in the playoffs than he did in the regular season (at the exception of one season). Jordan's scoring average in playoffs in career is just amazing : 33.4 PPG. Way ahead of everyone else. For all these reasons I definitely believe that Jordan is the best scorer ever indeed.

Carmelo Anthony officially a New York Knick
Oliver P replied to a topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Personally I certainly do not understand how some people can say that the Nuggets won the trade... I mean it certainly was a good deal for Denver, they got the best they could for Melo, but how can they be considered the winner as they lost their franchise player ?? They have some nice talents for the future but none of them will ever be close to the player that Melo is. And with no franchise player the Nuggets will not have a chance to be a legit contender for a long time... While the Knicks just got a second franchise player. Alright we lost a lot of players that's true. But we have now two superstars. The last time we had two superstars was in the 70's with Frazier and Reed (Starks is my fav player with Ewing but he was a star, not a superstar, and neither Spree nor Houston were superstars...), it was also with these two players that we won our two rings. So we're not as deep as we used to (D'Antoni has always liked eight players rotations anyhow..) but first it doesn't matter as we had no chance to win anything this year anyhow and now we have a better team for the future. We are clearly the winners of this trade. Now it's true that we could have waited for this summer but who knows what would have happened ? Maybe the Nuggets would have traded Melo elsewhere and he would have signed an extension there... We never know what can happen. We had an opportunity to have Melo now so we were RIGHT to take it. The future is now. Besides now that we got Anthony, do we really need the players that we lost ? Anthony is a SF, just like Gallo and Chandler so there wouldn't have been enough minutes for them both. Especially that we still got a lot of wing players like Williams, Walker, Brewer, Azubuike, Douglas and Fields. We just don't need Gallo and Chandler any longer. Fields is another reason why I'm particularly happy about this trade. He was the only player that I didn't want to lose. The fact that we managed to get Melo without having to trade Fields is a victory to me. As a matter of fact, contrary to Felton, Gallo or Chandler, Fields still can improve a lot. Yes I believe that with Gallo, Chandler and Felton what we see is what we got, I don't believe that those players can improve a lot now. While Fields is one of the best rookies this year and definitely can become a true NBA star. Our biggest loss in that trade is Felton IMO. He was our only true PG. And the two we got are old, that's true. BUT for NOW I certainly believe that it will be more than enough. And actually even better as Billups is an experienced PG, who is far from being done yet, and knows how to lead a team far away in the playoffs. So it's clearly better to have Billups now. We can't say the same thing for the future... But it's not like Felton was one of a kind at the same time and we'll have plenty of time to find other young talented PGs in the future. So I'm not worried one bit. As for our inside players, sure we lost Mozgov and Randolph... No a big deal honestly. Randolph wasn't even playing (besides he was not really an inside player despite his size but rather a SF...) and the only thing that Mozgov did this year was getting humiliated by Blake Grifin... We still got our two best players inside, Amaré and Turiaf. That's what matters the most. So when we look at it, even if we do not have the same depth, we clearly have a better team than before the trade overall. Before the trade we could at best go to the playoffs and lose in the first round. Now I believe that, if all the players get quickly used to their new team, we could reach the EC semis. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that I believe that we will, in fact if I had to bet on us right now I would bet that we would lose in the first round as well, no, what I'm saying is that IF our new players get easily used to their new team, if we develop quickly a chemistry and everyone, well if this happens I believe that IT IS POSSIBLE for us to get to the EC semis or maybe even, who knows..., the ECF. We have our big three (Anthony, Stat, Billups) and as I just showed it the rest of the team is still defintely good enough on paper. Our biggest problem is inside but the Suns were not better than us inside when they went to the WCF... The inside game is not that important in D'Antoni's system anyhow. Also will Rose play at this level the whole year and at what level will Noah play when he gets back ?, will Noah and Boozer be comfortable playing together ? the Celtics are too old and injury prone (they're still my favorite for the ring though) and the Heat have not been really convincing, especially when we look at their record against the best teams. The best Eastern teams have all question marks there is no doubt about it. Now I'm not saying that we're better than those teams, c certainly not, those teams are clearly better than us right now, especially that we have everything to prove. And again I'm not saying that I believe we will get to the ECF or even the semis, I'm just saying that thanks to this trade it could now EVENTUALLY happen. Well anyhow no matter what, we are clearly the big winner of this trade, the Knicks are definitely back in business and I have to say that, after all those terrible years, it finally feels good again to be a Knicks fan. Go New York !!! -
Quite a nice game. Too bad the West led the whole game though... but it was nice to see the East get back into the game at the end at least. But the West was just too strong this year. Congrats to Kobe who tied Pettit's record. And almost beat Chamberlain's scoring record in one game. I was sure he would beat it at the end... Well he at least tied Kevin Garnett's 4th best scoring performance in one All Star Game with 37 pts... Only Jordan, Barry and so Wilt scored more than him. Congrats to LeBron as well who never gave up and did all what he could to make his team win. He didn't succeed but at least became the second player to ever have a triple doulbe in an All Star Game. The other on was Jordan in 97, one of the very best All Star Games I ever seen by the way. Very nice All Star Game and Week End overall, quite a good show, certainly the best I've seen since the 2004 one, who was as well in LA.. And now it's time to get back to business with the second part of the regular season !
-
Well I sure was not but I can understand your confusion, I didn't word that correctly indeed... I'm gonna try to be more clear : it's not like I was amazed when I saw McGee's dunk then said to myself "wait it's easier to do a dunk like that with such a length so it's not amazing after all..." For me all what matter is the result. As a matter of fact if the dunk amazes me I couldn't care less if the player is tall or not, all I care about is that it's an amazing play. And so I would give it a 50. In this case, as I said the dunk was quite original and nice but it just didn't amaze me. As I said I just said to myself that it was a nice dunk, but no better than the others. Just alright, no more than that. So when I said : Especially for someone with such a length, it was clearly a great advantage for him to do these kinds of dunks. I in fact explained why, IMO, I wasn't impressed by the result, that because of that he made it just looked too easy. But I definitely don't think that he should be descredited him for that, if other people were amazed by this dunk I can understand that they wanna give him a 50. See what I mean ? I hope I was clearer this time. I understand, I in fact said it so myself, but my point is that it's now pretty clear that the dunk contest is more a show than a real contest. Which is not a critic by the way... I like this event and it was quite a nice show this year. But if you want to see a real contest you sure will not want to watch the NBA one. The entire All Star Week End is a show anyhow, even if the big game is a bit more serious... Which is why true competitors like Larry Bird never liked the All Star Game. Well anyhow my point is that this is why the outcome honestly does not really matter.
-
Just want to precise something cause I think there's been a confusion here ABL I never ever said that McGee should be discredited for anything... In fact I even said and I quote myself here : "I think they all would have deserved to win." McGee included so. I just said that FOR ME his dunks were not particularly great, that they were not particularly spectacular, just like all the other players' dunks in fact for the reasons I gave. That is all I said and nothing more. They might be to you, and that's fine by me everyone's entitled to his opinion, but the fact remains that they were not to me. They were nice but not great. And I'm entitled to my opinion as well. That's all. I don't see why everyone seems to be so upset with that dunk contest anyhow... It certainly is not a big deal to me but well whatever.
-
Okay I may have exaggerated when I said that it was not hard to do, I give you that. But don't exaggerate too man, it wasn't "extremely" difficult to do at the same time... Especially for someone with such a length, it was clearly a great advantage for him to do these kinds of dunks. And the result is that the dunks were not particularly spectacular. That's why that, even if they were very original, I don't deny that at all, I wasn't impressed by McGee's performance. When I saw his dunks I didn't go crazy and started running all over the house if you want lol I just said to myself "nice dunk". No more than that. As for his last dunk it wasn't original at all, Larry Nance in 84 and Darvin Ham in 97 did similar dunks for example. And Larry was just as tall as McGee so... So no McGee's performance was not "crazy" to me ABL, but that might be because I ain't a Wizards fan... Just kidding UnderLegit.
-
Today I watched The Great Outdoors. http://www.thenascargarrage.com/tng_files/tng_files/The%20Great%20Outdoors.jpg Yeah another Candy movie but I don't know why I feel like watching Candy movies right now haha. Well anyhow it was not as funny as PTA and Uncle Buck IMO but still very funny. Besides Candy and Aykroyd are among my favorite actors so I will give it a 8/10.
-
No I certainly do not believe that it was fixed... It's true that Blake Griffin's dunks were not that great but the reason why he won was because the fans overhype him. Besides, as I said in another post, we cannot say that he didn't deserve it at the same time. It's not like his opponents dunks were amazing or anything... I believe that all the dunkers this year would have deserved to win it. They all had nice dunks, none of them did anything amazing that would have made him a clear winner. That's why I'm perfectly fine with the result. Also it is clear that the NBA dunk contest is now more of a show than a real contest, so it is definitely not a big deal anyhow.
-
Well this certainly will not be remembered as the best 3 pts contest ever lol. At least the second round was a bit better... I wonder if anyone will ever beat Kapono's 25. I was already amazed when Jason first tied then beat Mark Price's record... It can happen but it sure will be amazingly hard to do.
-
I agree. I mean it's true that the free throw line dunk has been overused and so it certainly is not original, but honestly none of those dunks yesterday were original. We all saw all those dunks before. Alright it's true that Ibaka's first dunk and McGee's three balls and 2 baskets dunks had some creativity but they weren't particularly amazing... It wasn't hard to do, it was more fun than anything. Besides Ibaka is the only player, with James White (but it wasn't in the NBA) to ever dunk it without stepping on the free throw line. So it would have been fine by me if he got a 50 indeed. Absolutely. I mean I was pleased to see that someone jumped over a car in the NBA contest, AT LAST. In the past dunkers dunked over people (most of the time people who were even sitting down...) or dunked over a small table (Green), it was not particularly amazing. So I was happy that Griffin tried it for the first time in the NBA, but I was quickly disappointed when I saw that, first the car was too close to the basket, and second he jumped over the front. The result was just basic dunk. I can't say that it's a robbery at the same time that Blake won it anyhow cause no dunks were particularly great in this contest. I can't say that I didn't expect it anyhow... I think they all would have deserved to win. My personal favorite dunk was Ibaka's first dunk, nothing great here too but at least there was some creativity and it was funny. So basically it was just a nice contest. Better than what we had the year before but nothing more than nice.
-
^Haha yeah I know about that one, I saw it quite some time ago... And yeah it has nothing to do with Wanda. I need to rewatch it though cause I don't clearly remember about it. But I remember that I was disappointed. Wanda is by far better. By the way here are some of my favorite Wanda scenes : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khkJyEvEGFE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=edDPZAI-Zuw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cUaG0KOOxk "Don't call me stupid". LOL Otto's the man.
-
Well yeah it is a very good one indeed, as I said I liked it a lot. But I just prefer PTA. Besides it reaches you emotionally too, I mean it's a nice friendship story. And it's even funnier IMO. But I have no problem with you liking Uncle Buck more of course, both movies are good, and as I said many times movies are first of all a matter of taste anyhow. And we sure don't have all the same tastes. Fortunately haha. It's about time you watch it pinhead ! I told you about this movie... I don't know at least one year ago ? Well anyhow glad you liked it, one of my favorite comedies. And yeah Kevin Kline's performance is great, my favorite movie of him for sure. He's just hilarious in that movie. Just like the great John Cleese and Michael Palin, two former Monty Python.
-
One of the most boring games of the year... Can't say I'm surprised anyhow. There's been absolutely no defense at all in the rookie games for several years now... Rookie games in the 90's were by far more interesting to watch, at the time they still tried to play defense at least. The best rookie game I ever saw is definitely the 97 one with great performances by Iverson and Kobe (at the time when there were still only rookies in both teams) and if defenses keep being that terrible in the future it will remain as the best rookie game ever for sure. Well at least there was still this crazy play between Wall and Griffin.

^The three videos you posted are all the same and this video is not the same that that Cutler posted. As a matter of fact the one you posted was about Mario Kart as well, that's true, but it's an older one that Rémi made in 2008. The one that Cutler posted is Rémi's most recent video, it was made this year. Anyhow it's always nice to see Rémi's videos. He lives very close to where I live and he's quite a star here haha. Here are some of my favorites videos of his :

Today I watched Uncle Buck. http://img.listal.com/image/269180/600full-uncle-buck-poster.jpg Okay so it certainly not as good as other movies with John Candy like PTA or Splash, but I'm still gonna give it a 8/10 nonetheless. This because of Candy of course, who's always great, even his less good movies are worth to watch because of him. And it's still quite good anyhow, very enjoyable movie, I had a very good time watching it indeed.
