  2. Yes but I think that you miss his point here.. It took 6 years to Fisher to have his games played streak to 495. If he played 6 more years in this league he would have this streak to around 1000. So he would still be around 200 games short of AC's record... So Fisher would have to play around 9 more seasons to get this record. Fish is gonna be 37 next August... So he'd have to play till the age of 46. The oldest player in NBA history was Kevin Willis who played till the age of 44 (it's officially Nat Hickey but he only played one game in the NBA, so I don't think that it really counts..) which is already unbelievable. Not only that but Fish would have to play all those years, while getting older and older, without getting injured once ! So it is honestly just totally impossible for Fisher to break that record.
  3. Actually I do not forget anything. First of all, as I clearly said it in my post, I already thought that Dirk was better than Gasol, and than any other PF in the world for that matter, last year. As I said I had a lot of debates last year (on another forum) with some people who were trying to convince me that Gasol was CLEARLY the better player. Not only that but I also had a lot of debates with people who thought that Gasol was even better than Kobe which is more than ludicrous by the way... As I said Dirk was just as good last year, people didn't notice it because of his teammates. That's all. Lots of people fail to realize that first the Mavs just had a major trade and Dirk's new teammates didn't have enough time to adapt to their new team, second that the arrival of Chandler clearly made them a better team (first time they have a legit center since... probably the 80's and James Donaldson if I don't forget anyone else...) and third Jason Kidd finally managed to adapt to the Mavs as well. The difference between this year's Mavs and last year is not Dirk, not at all (he was clearly the best player of the Mavs-Spurs series, by far) it's his teammates. I'm gonna post the post in which I explained why Dirk was the best player. I won't give the link cause I posted that on CTS and the forum has been bought by another forum since, another forum that still exists (on which I do not post any longer...) so I don't want to spam. But the poster with whom I had this debate is now on OTR and I'm sure that he will confirm that I didn't make that up... Anyhow here is goes : So you're telling me that Gasol is a good leader because he led a team to the first round of the playoffs ? How does that make any sense ? Plus you certainly have a short memory if you really think that there was nothing in those Grizzlies teams... First at the time Williams and Miller were way better than what they are now, Miller had his best seasons in Memphis and by far, plus he also had Wells, Posey, who was not just a role player/defender at the time, then Eddie Jones, Mighty Mouse and some very good athletic inside players who knew how to good the job done, like Swift who had his best years in Memphis. It is asinine to say that he had no help. And I've never said that he was a bad leader actually, the problem is that he never proved himself, he never proved that he was a good leader contrary to Dirk. Pau proved that he was a terrific second leader since he's in LA, this role fits him perfectly, while he was constantly criticized when he was the Grizzlies leader. That's why for me Pau is not a leader, he found his true role, second leader or lieutenant in LA and he's gonna remain a second leader all his career IMO. By the way Gasol helped the Lakers but he didn't change them as much as people think, once again you have a short memory there, I would like to remind you that before the arrival of Gasol the Lakers were number one of the entire league that year. Until Bynum's injury. Yes they were already the best in the league before Gasol arrived. They starting to struggle when Bynum got injured. The arrival of Pau allowed them to get back to their best level. Back to Dirk now yes there is no doubt that Dirk proved that he is a good leader. You asked me what he did ? I already told you what he did he led the Mavs to the playoffs every year since 2001, and he even led his team to the finals in 2006. This in the Western Conference which as we all know has been by far better than the Eastern the whole decade. And they beat the Spurs this year on their way to the finals, they beat the Spurs who were younger than they are now, the big three was at his best. You're telling me that the Mavs are the best team this year ? Well first of all since the trade for Kidd the Mavs have never been the same (yet they beat the Spurs once again last year), the fact is that they were better with Harris. This year the team looked great on paper that's true, and Kidd has had his best seasons since his Nets days, and the newcomers seemed to fit quite well at first BUT and it's a big "but", they didn't play together for long. This trade has been made at the All Star break, it's not enough, the players don't know each other well enough. They didn't have enough time. That might explain why they're struggling. Plus the Spurs are playing way better than what they were playing in the regular season... Also it's important to take in consideration that the best team on paper is not necessary the best team in fact, when you look at the best teams "on paper" of the last decade (02 Kings, 04 Lakers) they all didn't win a ring. Kobe and Shaq have all the help that they needed in 04, more than they had in 2000-02 yet they didn't win in 04, the "best team on paper" is not necessarily the best team. Anyway it is totally ludicrous to blame Dirk only for that, I'm sorry but Dirk is doing his job. His teammates are rather the problem, Dirk is here in this playoffs, I repeat he's second at the efficiency rating, you can't blame Dirk only for that, it's totally unfair. And what about Barkley, Ewing, Baylor, Malone, Stockton, etc... they never won a ring too and had some great teams, are they bad leaders too ? You gotta understand that there are many thing to take in consideration to be a winner, and it's not because you never won a ring that you can be considered as a bad leader, it doesn't make any sense... You are just simplifying things, you don't even try to understand, that's your problem. I would add that Dirk also proved that he was a great leader in the FIBA, it's very simple in the Germany national team he has no HELP whatsoever, you can trust me on that I know what I'm talking about, all his teammates are terrible players, I would include Chris Kaman by the way, Kaman has always been horrible in the FIBA so far, when he became German I was glad cause I thought that this team would get at least one other good players but NO HE'S MORE THAN HORRIBLE !!! So Nowitzki is alone, yet Germany has had quite some great results thanks to him, he has Michael Jordan kinds of performance with that team, he's doing absolutely everything and he makes his team WINS, I remember for example he led them to the 3rd place in the 2002 World Cup, and to the 2nd place in the 2005 Eurobasket, which I think that you can't realize that, which is literally AMAZING !!! That a team with not talent like that does something like that... Plus this year in the NBA how many times did he hit clutch shots, how many time did he make his team win all by himself ?!! I have never seen Dirk as clutch as he is today. It is definitely unfair to blame him only for the troubles that the Mavs have against the Spurs now (the series ain't even over by the way, it will be over once one team wins 4 games and not before, it's imortant to be aware of that...) No honestly it is impossible to say that Dirk is a bad leader now, he has definitely proved in both the FIBA and NBA that he is definitely a good leader. So you can see for yourself that I did not forget anything indeed and didn't suddenly change my mind because of this year's Mavs.. By the way Finch, if the Mavs win the ring this year you certainly will look bad. You already do anyhow cause you can see for yourself now how great Dirk really is and that I was indeed right. Anyway back to topic : Second of all I have to precise that I was the first one to defend Gasol all year long. He's had some trouble this year but this can happen to anyone and I still definitely consider him as the second best PF in the game right now. I ain't gonna change my mind because of a few months struggling... However I may change my mind about it if this struggling continues next year... So no I did not base what I said on this year's Gasol. The fact is that, as good as he is, Gasol is a second option. A great second option but nothing more than a second option. While Dirk is a proven leader. And it's there that the big difference between the two is, and that both player just cannot be compared. Dirk is CLEARLY the best power forward in the world. First of all it's not true to say that I didn't give any credit to Miami... I just gave my opinion on this match up and explained why I thought that the Mavs were currently the favorites. But I never denied that the Heat had clearly a chance to win this Finals. I clearly said it. I had my doubt on this team the whole year, but I never EVER denied that the Heat could win it all. I still have my doubts about them, for the reasons I gave. But they are a great team nonetheless and I definitely can't say that I would be surprised if they were this year's champs. Second of all, about the scoring, well I never said that the Heat were horrible offensively or anything like that, I just said that I was not convinced by their offense. This first because that, if LeBron, Wade and Bosh have been quite efficient, the rest of the team is not enough implied in my opinion. Real Deal posted a thread in which he saw that the Big Three scored all the Miami pts in the end of the third and the ENTIRE fourth quarter. To most people it shows that those three alone can win it all... To me it shows two things : first that, as I just said above, the rest of the team is clearly not implied enough offensively, and second that it took the big three to be all at their best at the same time to win a game against a team that was at his worst... A team who's leader, ONLY reliable source offensively and who carried them on his shoulders all year long was just horrible in that game, yet without this big three performance, well the Heat would have lost that game. Well as the Mavs are clearly a better offensive team it would certainly not have been enough to win against them, besides the big three will not play at this level all the time.. And third, about the Mavs D, they didn't have such a good D as the Heat's but I definitely wouldn't say "definitely". Their defense is actually pretty good, clearly among the best in the league. And Miami's D been pretty impressive but I'm still not fully convinced by it as they didn't face any good offensive team so far. The Bulls, Sixers and Heat offense are among the worst in the league... The Mavs offense is much, much better and it's against them that we will see how good they truly are. That's all I said. But anyhow yeah let's hope that we'll have a great series indeed.
  4. Haha nice. Let me know what you think of it as soon as you watch it. What the [expletive] you didn't watch this movie before ??!! I'm gonna have to bitchslap you for that, I hope that you understand !!! Well anyhow I watched this movie three of four times and it's quite good indeed. Well it's not as good as Jack's best movies when he was younger... But it's still very nice. I like it a lot as well. Even if I ain't usually very high on romantic movies... Glad you liked it.
  5. This. Algthough if those mistakes become a trend I rather blame the coach who keeps him on court than the player... Cause the player doesn't do it on purpose, players want their teams to win. Well anyway when Starks lost his game in the 94 Finals game 7, after Hakeem blocked his shot in game 6, I didn't hold a grudge on him. Didn't even think about it. Yet Starks was our MVP so far (it was either him or Harper) and we lost by less than 10 pts with him being that horrible... So it's quite obvious that with a Starks playing at his best level we could definitely have won this game. So it's kinda because of him that we didn't win that year. Yet I certainly didn't blame him for anything, quite the opposite I shared his disappointment... And hoped that he would get back to his real level as soon as possible (he eventually did after months of struggling the following year agaisnt.. Houston). Same when Dirk struggled at the end of games against Miami in 2006. He was the first one to be devastated. So it would be asinine to hold a grudge for that. And this experience actually helped him to become a better player. I don't blame players for making mistakes. I blame players for not trying, not giving all what they got, that's for sure (players like DC or Carter...). But not for making mistakes. As sad as it is making mistakes is part of the game and we have to accept it. The best players are not the ones who do not want to make mistakes anyhow, but the ones who accept that they do and learn from them.
  6. Yeah it would suck if there was another lock out... It's not my first lock out though so I guess it won't be as hard for me this time. Especially that the 98 lock out was terrible as it forced one of the greatest team ever to end. Yeah as a matter of fact the lock out definitely convince Jordan to retire. Maybe he would have anyway, but he was still hesitating at the time... Now Pip wanted to leave and the Jerries wanted to get rid of Jax, but Jordan would have maybe convinced them to stay. There were even rumors that even if those two left, Jordan would have stayed nonetheless.. There was still a chance that this team would have stayed together. With the lock out there was no question, if just forced Jordan to retire. So it's reallly a bad memory... I was glad at least that the season finally started in February but still, no All Star, a 50 games season.. It wasn't the same. Phil Jackson said that there would always be an asterisk for this season and for his champ (...) and I actually believe he's right. It just wasn't the same... Well anyhow it sure would suck if there were a lock out next year but hey, as long as there are booze and tobacco I guess I'll be fine.
  7. So be it, another Heat-Mavs in the Finals. I hope those Finals will be great (obviously...). Fun fact, those two teams have each only be to the Finals twice (including this one so) in their (short) history, and they faced each other both times. Weird.. Well this time Dallas is overall a better team. And Dirk is a better leader than he was at the time. So the Mavs have a very strong chance to win it all. Definitely. I'm personally very glad to see the Mavs back into the Finals as, first Dirk is my favorite player, second I don't know how many times I've said that Dirk was up there with Bryant as one of the very best leaders in the league and one of the most clutch ones also. Because the fact is that, everyone's praising Dirk right now, but he was already this good those past couple of years. And CLEARLY the best PF in the game. Seriously I don't know how many times I had debates about this, especially last year when a lot of people were trying to convince me that Gasol was clearly better than him... And I'm glad that now everyone knows better. Although it's just sad that most people didn't realize that before, when he didn't have as good teammates... Well anyhow Dallas is better than they were at the time but the fact is that Miami is too... In 2006 the Mavs were clearly better than Miami. The Heat had chemistry problems all year long and it wasn't surprising to see Dallas literally dominated them in the first two games. The only problem is that Dallas wasn't tough enough in their heads, and Dirk was not as clutch as he is now, so when the Heat got game 3 in money time the Mavs just lost their confidence. And started to struggle, this despite the fact that they were the better team. This time both teams are better than they were at the time (which is good news, we should have a great Finals) but still the fact is that, even if everyone is high on their D, the Heat didn't face even ONE team that is even close to the Mavs offensively. And Dirk is so hot... There's no one in Miami who can stop him. I'm sure of that. It's against Dallas that we're gonna see if the Heat defense is REALLY that good. The Heat got a strong chance to win as well, don't get me wrong, but right now I give the edge to Dallas nonetheless as the favorite to win it all, because they faced overall better teams. Let's face it the Heat faced a Sixers team who is for me the less good team of the playoffs, a C's team that was clearly too old, that didn't have Perk nor Shaq, and a Bulls team who was clearly not as good as they were in the regular season, this first because of Rose struggling the whole playoffs (yet everyone agrees that if the Bulls were that good this year, it was FIRST thanks to him), yet all their wins were close ones (except one game against Phila). So they've played very well, but it's still at the same time not THAT impressive to be honest. While the Mavs had to play against a very good Blazers team, the Lakers (they were not at their best but they were stil the champs, SWEEPING them the way they did is very impressive nonetheless) and a Thunder team who, even if they still lack of something to be a true ring contender IMO, were still a very good team. Besides the Mavs have been quite good offensively AND defensively, the same can't be said for Miami who's been very good defensively but their offense haven't been as impressive. So Dallas has been IMO the most impressive team of the playoffs so far. Anyhow it's great to see Dirk having a second chance to win a ring this year and I really hope for him that he's gonna win it this year. Honestly if the Mavs lost a second time to Miami I'll be devastated... I think I'll just cut my dick off and [expletive] myself in the ass !!! Let's go Mavs !!!
  8. Oh I see nice. Alright thanks for the tip man, I'll try to check it out one of these days. And yeah Buscemi + The Coens, I had to like it for sure lol. Definitely agree with you about Steve, he's an amazing actor. One of my favorites. He was amazing in all the Coen movies. And in Jarmush movies too. Oh and in Reservoir Dogs too also, he was awesome in it, I love it when they tell him he's Mr Pink LOL. Have you seen Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead ? He's great in that movie as well. I love that movie, it's quite unknown but it's very good. I advised it to many people and they all loved it. There are many good actors in it, there's also Christopher Walken, Andy Garcia, John Savage, Chritopher Lloyd... I advise everyone to check it out. If you like movies about mafia you will like it for sure.
  9. No I haven't. I ain't usually too high about French movies you know lol... Cause let's face it they usually suck. Well I should rather say "current" French movies. I love a lot of old French movies, at the time we used to have great actors. And great filmmakers. Which ain't sadly the case any longer... This one ain't really French though. As most of the directors and actors of those short movies are not French, so maybe I should take a look at it. I only watched the Coen Brothers short movie, "Tuilerie" with Steve Buscemi. Which is quite nice lol. and very true, people get literally crazy when you stare at them around here lol, and people in Paris are especially rude... So this could sadly really happen lol. Did you like the movie ?
  10. I started to watch this game in the early 90's so I followed many great players' career... I can't mention players like Magic, Bird, Moses Malone or Thomas though, I watched all their best games and highlights but I really can't say that I followed their career... So anyway, among all the players I followed throughout their career, the player who impressed the most is definitely Jordan. Shaq at second, he was literally unstoppable at his prime. Then there are Kobe, Sir Charles, The Mailman, The Dream, Duncan, The Beast of the East, Stock, The Glove, Pip, Dirk, The Reign Man, The Glide, Zo, Sheed, Sabonis, KG, Kidd, Grant Hill, Penny, Tim "Bug", The Admiral, The Answer, "Killer" Miller, Rice, Richmond, C-Webb, KJ, Mullin, The Worm, Price, Spree, Grandmama Johnson, Do, Ray Ray, PP, Schrempf, Nash... Well and a lot of other great players. By the way I didn't mention the players who are under 30, cause they still have a lot to prove.
  11. Today I watched Fast Times at Ridgemont High. http://moviereviews.allmyblog.com/images/moviereviews/1_20110204_005529.jpg I liked it a lot, I usually like this kinda teen movies anyhow. It's just too bad that we don't see more of Sean Penn though, he's hilarious in it. I give it a 8.5/10.
  12. No. They have the best playoffs record ever, and definitely can be considered as one of the very best playoffs teams of the history of the game but I certainly do not believe that they are the best playoffs team ever. It has nothing to do with Shaq and Kobe's teammates though. Shaq and Kobe were the only superstars, and actually stars for that matter, in that team but the fact is that all the players in that team knew their role and played it to perfection which is why that team as a whole was so impressive. The preceeding year they had another star in the team, Glen Rice, but they were not as good as a whole nonetheless. It is not because you have more stars that you are better as a whole. In fact, as I said many times, most of the best teams ever (on paper) didn't win a ring. It is essential to have role players in a team. The important thing is that everyone does what they are expected to. It is better to have a well balanced team than having three superstars. For example the 94 Rockets had only one star, Olajuwon, the rest of the team was at best above average role player. Yet they were better than the next season, when they had another star (Clyde Drexler) but a team that was not as well balanced and ended the season as 6th in the West. They won the ring nonetheless that year.. But I watched both teams play and there is no doubt in my mind that the 94 one was overall better. Then the Rockets got first Barkley then Pippen and they clearly not as good as they were in 94. When we look at it the Bulls had only two stars as well. Jordan and Pippen. As good as he was Grant was an above average role player and the rest of the team were role players. As for the second three peat team, well they had Rodman, one of the best defensive players (arguably the best) but who was useless offensively and cannot be considered a superstar because of that. No player, aside from Pip and Mike, could carry the team offensively. Kukoc was a very good offensive player but he was too irregular. He could get on fire at times but he could miss all his shots the following game. He was not enough solid in his head, which is why he never became the star that he was supposed to be. Harper used to be a star, a fantastic offensive player, but he was no longer in Chicago, not even close to what he used to be. He surprisingly became a defensive specialist in Chicago. He was nothing more but a role player. The rest of the team were just role players. So no it's not because they had only two stars that the Lakers are not the best playoffs team ever. The first reason why I do not believe that they are is because the lack of competition this year. As a matter of fact, when we look at it, there was no other team that had a chance to win a ring that year. In the first round they beat the Blazers who were not even close to what they were the preceeding year. They were a good team but had no chance whatsoever to win a ring any longer. In the second they beat the Kings who were getting better but were definitely not at the level they played the following year. In the WCF they beat the Spurs, who had just acquired Parker, didn't have Ginobili yet and were still in the process of rebuilding. Clearly not as good as they were in 2003/07. In the Finals they beat the Sixers, a team that Ioved a lot, that had a lot of hearts, but who frankly didn't belong in the Finals. The reason why the Sixers made the Finals that year is because the East was not even close to what they were in the 90's and to what they are now. Nowadays this Sixers team wouldn't pass the second round. Same for the 90's. The same can be said for the Nets and Pacers, the Nets were, just like the Sixers, not talented enough to win a ring, and the Pacers were just too old in 2000. Between 98 and 2004 there was just no team in the East that was good enough to win a ring. I'm not trying to take anything from the 2000-2002 Lakers, they were very impressive indeed. Three of the best teams I've seen play. Especially the 2001 one. But the fact remains that they didn't face a great team in the Finals. The only two "truly" great teams (I mean by that teams that really had a chance to win it all) that they played against were the 2000 Blazers and 2002 Kings. Another great team that they could, and I would even say SHOULD have faced were the 2001 Heat. As a matter of fact this team was very impressive, Riley had done a fantastic job during the following summer to get them better with the arrivals of Mason, Brian Grant and Eddie Jones, but unforunately for them Mourning fell sick during that summer, right after the Olympics and was out for the season. He came back for the playoffs but was not even close to the player he used to be. He sadly never reached his true level afterwards.. Otherwise I'm that this team would have faced the mighty Lakers in the 2001 Finals. Nevertheless the Lakers record was very impressive that year, it was still not easy to beat all those teams and literally dominated them the way they did. But all of this has definitely to be taken in consideration.
  13. Since when speaking the truth has become dumb ? I can understand to some extent that people do not like this kind of comments, as players have to show faith to their team and to do all what they can to make it as good as it can be but let's be realistic here, Parker just said what most of us think about the Spurs now. Who, among all the NBA fan, still think that the Spurs stand a chance to win a ring with the Duncan-Parker-Ginobili big three ? I doubt that one person still has faith in that team (well except Spurs fans maybe)... The Spurs have surprised all of us this year. No one before the beginning of the season thought that they would end the season as the best in the West. They showed us that they could still play. But for what ? Getting eliminated in the first round... Fourth 1st seed to ever be eliminated in the first round. That shows who they really are now. I personally never believed in that team, I said it in many posts all season long, so that doesn't surprise me at all. I would have rather thought that they would have been eliminated in the second round though.. But still it's not surprising to me. Let's face it Duncan is now no longer in his prime. And cannot carry the Spurs the way he used to do. Ginobili is slowing getting out of his prime either and can only decreason from now on. Yet the Spurs need a leader. Just like everyone else for that matter, you cannot win in the playoffs without a leader, a go to guy, someone to give the ball to when it matters. Parker is the only one among the three stars who is still at his top, but the fact is that Parker is not a leader and never will be. He cannot carry the team like Duncan used to. Parker is at best a second leader. And, even if their teammates ain't as old as they used to be, none of them has the potential to become a superstar. Even a star IMO... Therefore if the Spurs do not get the leader that they need this summer they will not have a chance to win the ring. The Spurs will not win a ring until they get that leader. So I honestly do not see anything wrong with what Parker said, he didn't insult anyone, he is just speaking the truth about his team and nothing more.
  14. Yeah I didn't start to follow this show rightaway too, for some reasons it seemed weird to me at first... Well one of the reason is that I didn't like Charlie Sheen in Spin City, wasn't a big fan of that show to begin with but it was still way better with Michael J. Fox. Well anyway one day I was eating and the show was broadcasted on TV (they were rerunning the first three seasons at that time, it was during the summer, just before the fourth season) and I decided to give it a shot. I didn't regret it one bit, I loved it rightaway. I watched and loved all the first three seasons and became a huge fan of that show and never missed an episode since. I got all the seasons at home and watch all the episodes over and over again. Yet I'm not usually high on TV shows... As I said it's actually the only current show that I watch. But this one is really great at least to me. Well anyhow glad that there's another huge fan of that show now, welcome to the Two and Half Men fan club haha.
  15. Yeah it's just too bad that Dallas is actually the only ringless team of the remaining four ones..
  16. Where I have been ?! I should ask you that lol, you're the one who didn't post for a month lol... About that I hope that you saw my anti Spurs posts at least. :D

Lol anyhow htown and I really missed you a lot, we talked about you all day long yesterday, don't ever do that to us again. Good thing I have your picture, I masturbate to it everyday.

  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9xvmpRZcyw Haha one of my favorite parts as well.. Well the whole movie is my fav part. Don't know how many times I watched it... When I'll go to the US I'll have to try an In 'n Out for sure. Just because of the movie. I sure would not camp over night for a burger though lol, dam that's totally insane, I can't even believe that's for real....Amazing.
  18. So Kyle Korver is gonna replace Charlie ? That should be interesting... But more seriously I think they should just have cancelled the show. I'm a huge fan of that show, I have all the episodes and watch 'em over and over again, it's actually the only current TV show that I like but I really don't see how it can be still good without Sheen. I was hoping that Lorre would hire Charlie back (even though I didn't believe it would happen) and now that he won't I think it would have been wiser to just stop the show. I might be wrong though, and I'll check out the first episodes next year anyhow for sure, just to see how it looks like. But right now I just can't imagine the show doing well without Sheen. Too bad this looney had to [expletive] up his TV show career, just like he did with his movie career... Well we'll see. You sure are outdated haha, it was in the first season.. Very good episode though, one of my favorites. All the episodes from the first two seasons are gold anyhow. The other seasons are not as good, but they are still great nonetheless though. Well anyhow back to topic, it's good news for the other actors of the show (who are all great) at least, they won't be unemployed next season.
  19. Today I watched Bowfinger. http://www.traileraddict.com/content/universal-pictures/bowfinger.jpg Very funny movie, just like all Steve Martin's movies anyhow.. So far there ain't one of his movies that I didn't like. Great to see Murphy and Martin together, it would deserve to be watched only for that. I had a very good time, I'm gonna give it a solid 8/10.
  20. Definitely Bulls vs Mavs. That's already what I wanted to see before the playoffs started anyhow. Well in fact I wanted to see either a Bulls-Mavs or a Mavs-Celtics. But now that the Celtics are out I 100% want a Bulls-Mavs. I wouldn't mind seeing the other remaining teams in the Finals though. But to be honest I have to say that I liked the Heat better when they had only Wade. It has nothing to do with James, contrary to a lot of people I definitely don't hate him and I see nothing wrong with his decision. No it's just that I've never been a huge fan of teams of stars... In fact I've always liked hustlers more, players like Rodman, Starks or Oak for example. I don't hate superstars, there are many superstars that I love, I actually love all the greatest players from the past and all, but it's just that I prefer hustlers. Those guys who, even if they ain't as talented as the big stars, give all what they got to make their team wins, those guys that every team needs to win. In fact among my VERY favorite players ever, there are only two superstars : Patrick Ewing and Connie Hawkins. So I'm definitely gonna root for the Bulls in the East. In the West I love the Grizz and Thunder, and I wouldn't mind seeing them in the Finals, but the Mavs are my second fav team since Dirk's arrival so now that New York is out I'm 100% for Dallas. Anyhow I definitely think that we can have a Bulls-Mavs in the Finals. Now that the Heat beat the C's most people think that the Heat will win it all but I'm not as convinced... I mean sure they were very good against Boston but this win is not as impressive as most people make it to be IMO. First of all the C's were far from being at their best. They all appeared quite old in this playoffs, especially KG, not only that but Rondo was injured and Perk is now in OKC. Now I said myself that the C's could win without Perk, and I haven't changed my mind about that. If the C's were at their best I'm sure that they could have won. But it was still a loss nonetheless. And if you add all of these together you have a C's team that was far from being as good as last year... Yet the Celtics led all the games, this the whole game. They just couldn't close the games because of their age... Well anyhow the Heat played quite well nonetheless but all I'm saying is that it wasn't that impressive. And I definitely that the Bulls stand a chance. They're much younger than Boston, sure they're not as talented offensively and rely too much on Rose, but their defense can give a lot of trouble to Miami's offense. I think that they stand a pretty good chance. As for the West, well I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed that no one seems to believe in Dallas. That doesn't surprise one bit though. In most people mind, it's not the Mavs who won against LA, it's the Lakers who lost... The Mavs just do not get all the credits that they deserve. The Lakers were not at their best, Gasol was very disappointing, but still the Mavs just swept them ! They were fantastic and definitely deserved that win. And as good as the Grizzlies and Thunder, they are clearly not as talented as this Dallas team. Probably the best Dallas team ever IMO. They stand a chance, I don't deny that one bit and wouldn't be surprised to see one of these teams in the Finals, but still Dallas is clearly better and should make it to the Finals.
  21. Happy Birthday ABL !!! I'm sure you're enjoying your Wizards in the playoffs. Oh wait... http://i695.photobucket.com/albums/vv311/JenniferxDLove/smiley_grin.gif Lol hope it's a great one UnderLegit !
  22. I am personally not surprised at all by this blow out. As I said in the game 3 thread the way the Lakers lost that game was the hardest for them. They had this game 3, which was obviously very important, and they just let the Mavs get back and win... That's very tough, very hard to get over. They just totally lost their confidence. And their basketball... While the Mavs, who managed to get back and win this very important game got more confident than ever and just played their best basketball. Congrats to Dallas. They were the better team, no doubt. Their bench was especially amazing. Peja, Terry, Haywood and Barea have all been terrific. Barea did to the Lakers defense in this series what Travis Best did to the Bulls defense in the 98 Pacers-Bulls in fact. Like Best at the time he was just too quick for them. I'm especially happy about this, as I already said Dirk is my fav player and the Mavs my second fav team, so I hope that they're gonna win it all. They sure can. They have the team for it. I hope that this year Dirk is gonna get his first ring at last, and that he'll stop thinking about this lousy 2006 Finals... Oh and I hope that Bynum and Odom will be suspended for AT LEAST the first ten games of the next season. LET'S GO MAVS !!!
  23. Odom and Bynum are officially two of the biggest morons I ever seen. Way to stay classy... I've always respected the Lakers.. Until now. That team is just showing that they deserve to lose. And I'm glad that they're getting literally DESTROYED just for that.
  24. ^Haha glad you liked it this time icehole. Awesome movie indeed. Well it's a Coen anyhow, all their movies are great. You better rewatch all the Coens you didn't like as soon as you can, you will like them for sure I tells ya. Like I already told you, you will LOVE The Ladykillers this time, you better trust me and watch it tonight for sure. Anyhow lately I rewatched Bagdad Cafe. http://www.blogs-afrique.info/senegal-politique/images/sep2007/bagdad-cafe-1.jpg One of my very favorite movies ever. The kinda movie I love, there is basically no action, it's very peaceful, the kind of movies you watch quietly while drinking some good whiskey, just to spent a very good time. To chill. The music is fantastic. The photography is just awesome as well, it's unique, I never saw another movie that had such a great photography. It's just like a dream... I give it a 10/10, easily. And today I watched Friday. http://hiphopspy.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/fridaydvd.jpg htown told me that it was quite popular in the US but in France it's quite unknown, I had never heard of it before. So it was the first time I watched it. And I loved it, very funny, definitely my favorite Chris Tucker movie. So many great lines. I give it a 9/10.
