i think it is still too early to tell for jamarcus russell. no one wants to play in oakland, maybe if he gets signed by a successful team that he would be more motivated to get in shape and play well. on the other hand i have no clue what successful team would be willing to sign him. but this is just the optimistic outlook

yep, they just replayed an old one. im not sure if they replayed it because it is important to what is coming next or if they just replayed it just so they could have some extra time to film the next episodes

just by numbers then yes the phillies are getting up there near the yankees, but they dont spend the money nearly the same way as the yankees do. most of the yankees payroll is from signing free agents like tex, CC, burnett, etc (obviously a few exceptions like jeter). the phillies have not signed a top tier free agent like that (traded equal value for halladay and lee before him. polanco, ibanez, etc weren't top tier free agents)
