PLEASE get hockey on espn/abc. it would be absolutely huge for the sport in every possible way. that is honestly one the dumbest things i have ever heard. if a show "stands out" then that just means that the channel doesnt have anything else good the bottom line is that if hockey is on versus then only people who turn on their TV to watch hockey will see the game. if it is on espn then you will get those original people plus every other sports fan who is just flipping through channels. no one checks to see what is on versus, every sports fan checks what is showing on ESPN.

the whole point is that the marines have a huge advantage. the british have a huge advantage in numbers and the marines have a huge advantage in technology and weapons. i am fine with saying no airplanes or nukes, but besides that anything is fair game and yes the british would be smart enough to try to circle the marines, but the marines would also be smart enough to not let that happen. you have to think of the situation from both sides, you cant just think about what the british would do, you have to also consider how the marines would react

exactly. you can teach coverage. you cant teach athletic ability. taylor mays isnt going to be a probowler this year, but he is learning from a hall of famer. he has the potential to be a great safety in the NFL (potential is a chance to be good btw, not guaranteeing that he will be good)

cannons and calvary would be completely useless if the marines have any snipers. the sniper can just shoot the gunpower as they are loading up the cannon, or just shoot the people firing it, as well as the same with calvery

not taking thomas isnt a big deal since we got nate allen. if we didnt get allen then i wouldnt have been happy with the graham pick but overall a very good draft. im confused with all the defensive ends, but besides that they did really fill some needs. offensive line is still needed, but we got the safety, and a few other positions to add depth, like TE, WR, LB, CB

they wouldnt just be in a wide open field, your formation can only be so wide. but either way, a tank with a few explosives would easily destroy the front lines of the british, and when you are standing there with no protection and the people right in front of you get blown up you are not going to just keep trying to attack

do you really think that 1000 people could shoot at once? there would be no difference between 1000:1 and 5000:1, majority would just be standing there waiting anyway and actually yes, the marines would be nearly invincible. they would have bulletproof vests, which would easily stop a musket shot from far away (muskets are inaccurate anyways, they wouldnt hit the marine very often). the british have no armor and are just standing out in the open in a giant crowd. pretty easy target for any kind of gun or explosive.

lemme know how 112,000 people will be running at the marines at once. its called a giant crowd of people with no armor vs a bunch of machine guns. the british arent starting 20 feet away from the marines. you dont realize what modern day weapons could do to a crowd of people. its not like call of duty with a bunch of m16'. its not actually 1000:1 because the marines have such a huge advantage
