it looks really cool. i played some of the first one, but i think im gonna get this

im not a huge fan of reid either, but its hard for me to think of many coaches that the eagles could get that would do better then reid has done. but mcnabbs time is slowly winding down too. its hard for me to see this as his last year also. i dont think its possible for any QB to have more success then mcnabb has had for how often they run the ball. but this is one of the best turnarounds ive ever seen. reid has done a great job turning and aging team into a team full of young stars. we have done a great job drafting on offense with desean, celek, maclin, and mccoy. same goes for defense. we have also gotten some key free agents/trades with witherspoon, peters, and a few others. its just crazy how fast this team changed

hes awesome

a movie has nothing to do with how many people actually believe its gonna happen

any team with the number of injuries that the mets had would be out of the playoffs too. pretty much their entire lineup was out and there is no way that the marlins just decided to trade away all talent for the hell of it. they knew that they would not be able to afford to resign them, so it was either trade or lose them in free agency. and sure you can give 3 or 4 examples of how payroll doesnt mean anything, but i can also give 10 times more reasons of how it has given the yankees and red sox unfair advantages.

Done deal: Larry Johnson signs with Bengals

obviously benson will start. but this way they have someone to fill in while he is hurt and someone to take some pressure off benson when he gets back -
but there are more consistantly bad teams in baseball then in most sports, football for example. the only teams that are consistently bad are the lions and raiders, and that is because of bad management. the consistantly bad teams in the MLB such as the pirates (and a few others), are bad because they can not afford to bring players in or most of the time even keep the players that they do grow.

Coghlan snd Bailey win ROY grienke wins AL cy young

9 years is nothing. there should be a salary cap. the offseason isnt that interesting because you know all the top players are going to sign with the yankees, red sox, or mets majority of the time. money absolutely buys titles. sure there are some surprise teams sometimes, but they are only good for a year or two because all their players ask for more money and they cant afford it. thats why teams like the rays, marlins, royals, etc are constantly rebuilding. and thats also why the yankees are never rebuilding. they just keep buying the talent that the teams like the marlins cant afford to keep

you didnt realize this 10 years ago?

i agree. it already almost is. its just the crazy people who believe everything that still think its gonna happen

***Official Marijuana reform thread***

i dont get why marijuana is illegal but alcohol and cigarettes are legal. the only thing i can think of is that you can drink casually and not get drunk, but you cant (and wouldnt) smoke and not get high -
i wanted a big school because i like having the big football team and all that. also because i like constantly meeting new people and not being forced to hang out with certain people because they are the only ones there. but there are positives and negatives with big and small schools and if you plan on living on campus then check how many commuters and how many people go home on weekends. at rutgers most people that go here live within an hour away so a bunch of people go home. its a big school though so there are still tons of people left, but it would really suck if you were living at a school and everyone went home every weekend and price is important too. my parents have been saving for a while, so i had the option of going almost anywhere, but i still chose rutgers because it is about half the price of anywhere else. this way if i want to go to grad school or anything like that, then i will not have to worry about the money as much as if i went to a school that cost way more. and being in debt at an expensive school doesnt sound fun

lucky. going to a game or two when im home over thanksgiving, cant wait

what??? you have changed your argument so many times, i dont know what you are trying to say anymore
-
obviously..... but you cant completely forget about the past either. you know the cowboys were thinking about that game last year, just as teams know they are playing against the defending superbowl champions when they play the steelers. things change every year, but everything doesnt reset

when was the last team to get to the world series 3 straight years? (and hopefully win 2 of them)
-
best team i have ever had. i made 2 trades and now my team is absolutely beastly. braylon edwards is my 4th receiver, celek backup TE, and a ton of good backup rbs. its crazy. i just need to trade for a backup QB in case i want to bench flacco http://i33.tinypic.com/2dr9y4y.jpg

assuming we would have to give up as much as we would have at the trade deadline, then i would not do it. it would be crazy to have halladay-lee-hamels, but i dont know if its worth trading pretty much all of our top prospects. if we hadn't gotten lee then i would be all for it, but i dont think its worth it now and money would also be a huge issue with that. halladay is going on his last year of his contract this year (i think??), so if we got him then we would have to give him a new contract. we also have to give lee and a bunch of other guys new contracts in the next couple years
