  1. hamels-lee-blanton-happ-lopez. and you have pedro possibly on his way and you still got drabek. love it
  2. right before the the phils finalized the lee deal they called toronto and offered the same trade plus happ for halladay. toronto turned it down. i cant see any team willing to give up more then the phillies did. my only hope is that ricardi doesnt break down at the end and take a lesser deal.
  3. writing out the messages doesnt seem worth it. i think it would be faster/easier by just typing it. especially because my handwriting is awful, its probably not gonna recognize some of it. but it is true that the dare has more features, but my thing is that i have an ipod touch, so if i want to play games or anything then i would use that. im not gonna be paying for a data plan, so i would be using the phone almost only for texting and phone calls. and i think that the alias keyboard might be better for that
  4. apparently talks between the phils and indians has really heated up. a few indians scouts were at the at a phils triple A game and this weekend the phillies are playing in san fran, and the blue jays are playing in oakland. they are staying in the same hotel. so all halladay has to do is take a trip down to the front desk and get a new key hahaha
  5. andy reid would never sign him, so it wouldnt be an issue. but for the sake of the discussion, i would no be happy if he signed with the eagles. he would never get a chance to play with mcnabb and kolb hopefully stepping up. it would not be worth the publicity but it would be sick if he converted to a rb. you could run some crazy trick plays
  6. yeah, walter is pretty good, i dont know if he will be better then all those guys (definitely better then cotchery), but i wouldnt bet on it. and larry johnson is pretty good. he was stuck behind priest holmes early in his career so he never had a chance. he had those two big years then has had to deal with injuries and suspensions and all that stuff. i think a lot of people overrate him, but he is still a pretty good rb and should have a good year with cassel and bowe. their offense line does suck though and that is gonna hurt him.
  7. you pretty much summed up my choices. him and dawkins, holding LT to 7 rushing yards (amazing game), and owning big ben but there are too many. he was such a great coach. every week he had a new gameplan and new ways to magnify the best of his players. i have no idea how he did it, but he would constantly blitz yet the other team still didnt see it coming. we can only hope that the guy who is taking over the defense learned even a little bit from jim johnson.
  8. larry johnson is gonna have a good year, i was thinking about picking him
  9. trutrojan, stop complaining about picking is 2 minutes, got really old a while ago
  10. i think im leaning towards the alias after looking at a few reviews. i dont have a data plan, and i have an itouch, so my phone is almost strictly for texting and some phone calls. i think the alias 2 is great for this use
  11. i am deciding between the dare and alias 2. anyone have any experience with either? mainly the alias 2 because i have seen the dare way more. right now my basic +/- are dare- better camera, touch screen, lighter alias- actual keyboard (a plus, and its pretty damn cool), screen is protected i dont know much more then that. and their batteries are about the same
  12. looks pretty cool, i like the design. ill be upgrading as soon as it comes out
  13. Pittsburgh D http://assets.espn.go.com/i/insider/insiderMagIndex/mag_12292008.jpg lance moore http://i.cdn.turner.com/sivault/multimedia/photo_gallery/0809/nfl.week4.photos/images/lance-moore.jpg
  14. it doesnt look too much different, but its cool
  15. there was a cancerous tumor in his spine, i think melanoma though. but its crazy how this 68 year old guy could connect with and have such an impact on all the players. he was incredibly patient with other coaches, and teaching guys like Harbaugh, Spagnuolo, and quite a few others. on the field everyone knew that he was gonna be going to be blitzing like crazy, but yet he still remained so unpredictable. he produced 26 probowlers on defense, and i cant imagine anyone better then him at utilizing certain players skills. brian dawkins was the perfect example last year. everyone knew that dawkins was getting older and was not very good with coverage. jim johnson built the defense around dawkins and allowed to him to blitz and really take advantage of his hitting, while really minimizing his coverage problems. he made dawkins a probowler. it is absolutely amazing how he did this over the years for many players. the eagles players have changed completely over the past 10 years, but you can always trust that the defense will be there. jim johnson was an amazing coach and guy, and will be missed. its time for another one of his followers to take over the defense. RIP
  16. i cant believe it. RIP, hell of a coach, he is going to be missed.....like really really missed. wow and there will absolutely be a huge memorial at the stadium and all year, no doubt about it.
  17. i agree. the phillies arent dumb either. i think they will give up happ and drabek, but it is pretty pointless to accept the first offer that the blue jays make. they have until friday, so why not try to bring the offer down even a little. even if they could trade like happ, drabek, and donald (or the other guy, forgetting name, but not brown), it would have been worth it to wait. it woould be crazy for the phillies not to trade those 3 guys for someone like halladay
  18. i agree with that article though. he is right, how can you exclude guys from the hall who used steroids, when there were other guys who also did some illegal things. the only argument against it though is that the PED's directly impacted the game, while some of the other things he listed may have been bad, but they did not impact baseball, just the players personal life
  19. im gonna be in cleveland for the weekend and at a game friday night. the indians better play a good game
  20. lol. you have to give up talent to get talent. but the indians probably arent gonna want major league players because they want to rebuild. but its a funny/stupid comment anyways
  21. i think they would have found out before now if those guys used steroids. someone would have admitted to it
  22. the suspension is stupid. the guy got plenty of punishment in jail, there is really no need for a suspension. just let the guy play it would be a good move for minnesota, they have no QB, and he would fit pretty well. st louis is also possible, but i cant see san fran signing him. and he is not going to new england, that is absolutely stupid. i doubt he is gonna sign to play behind tom brady unless absolutely no one else want him, and new england really has no need to sign him and get all of that negative publicity
  23. ^^ that may be true for people in public leagues, but i dont think that matter for a group of friends making a league. my friends were doing a league on yahoo, and ive been on there ever since. im used to yahoo, so i really have no reason to try any other site. i having all of my leagues on one site i can check my football and baseball, or hockey and and football leagues at the same time
  24. AT&T is 15.5% of internet users. sure 4chan will lose some advertising and traffic, but it will not put them under or close to it
