Great signing IMO. I don't think the steroids did much of anything for his performance. There was just a lot of luck involved. Very over-hyped. Even if he "regresses" to what he was in 2011 and before, this is a very good deal for Toronto.

Yeah, Trout should have won and it shouldn't have even been close IMO. But I am not disappointed because I totally expected this. Way too many close-minded old time writers in the BBWAA.

The lack of a cap in baseball is pretty overblown IMO, because of how dangerous the luxury tax is. Even the Yankees try to avoid it. The way AA has built that farm is super impressive. I think he deserves a lot of credit for the patience he has shown. From what I have read, Jays ownership could easily outspend almost anybody if they wanted to, but AA has held back to avoid getting locked into bad contracts and losing draft picks while building up the farm. I guess he figures now is the time to go all in. Should be a really fun team.

Torii Hunter to Tigers - 2 years/$26 million. Overpay IMO. Also, the Marlins are trying to trade LoMo and Ricky Nolasco. Unreal. Still can't believe they didn't get D'Arnaud from Toronto yesterday.

They signed Reyes, Buehrle, etc so they could convince the taxpayers they scammed to pay for that stadium that maybe there would be a decent product on the field. I am sure this was the plan all along.

At first glance, thrilled that Johnson will be out of the NL East. With that said, Yunel Escobar might be my least liked player in all of MLB, so seeing him 19 times per season will suck.

JJ and Buehrle going to Toronto for Yunel Escobar and Adeiny Hechavarria. Morosi reporting that Reyes may be in trade also. And the offseason is underway!

Can't wait for the MVP announcements on Thursday (or Friday, whenever it is). A war will likely break out between the numbers crowd and the traditionalists.

Ray Didinger made a really good point on Post Game Live yesterday. No point to playing Vick anymore, even if he is healthy. Wins are meaningless at this point, since we'd need to run the table to have a realistic shot at the playoffs, and obviously that is not happening. Most important thing the team can do now is see what they have in Foles. If he shows them nothing in the last 7 games, then a QB will need to be drafted, most likely in the first round.

A missed extra point. Sweet. That's all this game/season was missing. Counting down the minutes until the WIP/Fanatic callers are calling for Trent Edwards to be QB.
