Haha, what a tool. He isn't reporting to the Islanders. Not surprising though.

Nabokov to Islanders. Wonder if he even shows up.
-
Might want to hop in the time machine and come back from 2003.
-
Vladimir Guerrero close with the Orioles. That is interesting.
-
Not sure if I'd go so far as to call the Damon/Manny deals "great" yet. I think "moderate risk/moderately higher reward" is more like it.
-
Wonder how much more time Cory Clouston gets.
-
Have fun with Robertson.
-
Wow, no cash. Epic fail for the Angels. Also, the Rays signed Johnny Damon and Manny Ramirez. 2/3 of the 2004 World Series championship outfield!
-
There is indeed some cash going from the Jays to the Angels. Not sure how much though.
-
So, uh, the Angels traded for Vernon Wells. No word yet on if they are taking the entire contract, but if so, epic fail. Mike Napoli and potentially Juan Rivera going to Toronto.
-
Peter Forsberg practicing with the Avs tomorrow. Wow.
-
At least the Rangers have the balls to sit Boogaard. Meanwhile, the Flyers keep running Jody Shelley out there every night. Has to be because of the contract, since there is no other logical reason to keep more productive players scratched.
-
Pro-rated, the contract is only for like $250,000. No way he makes it through waivers. One interesting theory I have heard is that the Devils will claim him, keep him for a week, and then waive him (at which point the Red Wings would get first dibs). Sort of an "eff you" to the NHL for the Kovalchuk penalties.

Philadelphia Eagles 2010 Thread
Phightins replied to Need4Sheed's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
I'd consider it if the contract is like, 95% incentives. Otherwise, pass. -
Fight night!

Well, the East being awful is nothing new. It sucked last year, and that didn't stop the Sixers from being stuck in neutral. And it's not like the Sixers, record-wise, are anything special this season, but for the first time in like five seasons you can see legitimate progress. Don't want to make any false accusations! I think it is funnier if I leave it as a secret.

I think I do now
-
As epic as this thread has become, I was serious. He has made the Sixers relevant again, and it is fantastic.
-
Thanks for the reply Doug! I was worried you wouldn't see this.
-
That is what I was saying. I don't see the big deal either way and I wouldn't have seen the big deal if he came back just to collect a paycheck. I really don't care and don't see why anybody else would, but it's cool/refreshing to see an athlete who isn't out for every last dollar.
-
He wouldn't have been robbing the "rich" owners, he would have been robbing the hardworking folks who come to the ballpark and put money in the owners' pockets (in his mind, anyway). In theory it is a cool gesture. Gil Meche's estate is already taken care of for generations, I would think.

Ok, so after seeing the replays, I am still disappointed in Andre Iguodala for even giving the official the chance to make that call. However, it was an awful call. Marreese Speights takes an elbow to the face from Dwight Howard and gets called for a foul, then Andre Iguodala doesn't touch Jason Richardson, and that gets called too. Pretty disappointing.
-
Well, he is certainly right about the Royals doing a lot for him. But yeah, that's pretty refreshing.

Coach Collins, As excruciating as some of these losses have been this year, I would still like to say "thanks" for getting the most out of these kids and making the Sixers fun again. -A Sixers fan PS...I know, very lame. But I had to do it.
