LOL Rod Thorn.
-
Haha. The worst part about being a Sixers fan is that they sell so few tickets, so when these good teams come to town there are tons available for opposing fans. Always frustrating.
-
I wish I was there to tell all those douche Boston fans to sit the F down.
-
Predictable...
-
Great half for the Sixers, keeping it competitive. Can't ask for anything more.
-
First time in almost two years that the Sixers have been on national TV. Cool.
-
Also picked up former Phillies prospect Quintin Berry! Hah, I remember when he was actually a good prospect.
-
Exactly. In the case of a good team like the Bruins, it is harmful to both player and team.
-
Also, congrats to the Red Sox fans who are now fully embracing what they have supposedly "hated" for the past 50 years. The difference is, I don't remember the Yankees ever giving out a contract as bad as this Crawford deal.

Phillies take 3 guys in the Rule 5 Draft. INF Michael Martinez taken from the Nationals in the Major League phase, and OF Chris Frey from the Rockies, and RHP Justin Friend from the Athletics in the minor league phase. Martinez intrigues me, and I think he will get a legitimate shot to make the team out of spring training. He can play basically every position, is a switch hitter, and can run. The Phillies are still in the market for one last bench infielder, so he makes sense.

That's what a new stadium and winning will do. Sellouts every night. Everything came together with perfect timing. But they are basically at their ceiling right now, which is why they are not competing for any big names now.

He has always been a leftfielder. He is certainly athletic enough to pull off CF if they really needed him to, but with an experienced CFer in Ellsbury on the roster, I don't see why they'd want to.
-
Out of Ellsbury's 168 starts in the past 2 seasons, 163 have been in center (13 of 18 last year). He is a natural centerfielder. A natural centerfielder can easily play all 3 outfield positions. A natural corner outfielder can not play center so easily. Ellsbury is a natural centerfielder. Crawford is a natural corner outfielder. The decision seems simple enough to me.
-
No he wasn't.
-
And then Ellsbury's great range goes to waste, lol. Crawford hasn't played center in 5 years, I really doubt they move him there now, especially when they have Ellsbury.
-
I feel like Crawford's awesome range goes to waste playing in LF at Fenway.
-
Uh, the Red Sox signed Carl Crawford. 7 years $142 million. That was rather sudden.

Thoughts on Evan Turner?
Phightins replied to Check my Stats's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Second guessing the pick is stupid. At the time, there was 99% consensus to take Turner. Just because he has sucked is no reason to say it was a bad pick. It was absolutely the right pick at the time. -
Unbelievable.

This is the worst 3rd period I have ever seen. And Danny Briere, as skilled as he is, is a [expletive]ing moron. Also, can anybody on this team win a damn faceoff. Jesus.
-
Will the Penguins ever lose again? Jesus Christ. And yes, Crosby is the undisputed best player now. Not even a discussion IMO.
-
Blah...Flyers dominate the period, Sharks score with 4 seconds left on a crazy deflection to take a 1-0 lead. Typical.
-
When I think of "Safeco Field players", he is not really the first guy to come to mind.
-
Why is Seguin even in the NHL if he isn't going to touch the ice in the 3rd period? Seriously, if I were a Bruins fan I'd rather him be in juniors/the AHL.
-
Holy [expletive] lol...if I did not have exams this week I know where I would be tomorrow night.... http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/Picture1-26.png 93 cents, really?
