Through the first four games, Hawes has struck me as a guy who only has his job because of his size, with no ability whatsoever. Looked decent in the first quarter tonight.

Don't get greedy. I am just happy that the Flyers have a first round pick at all this season. In essence, we have not had one in 3 seasons. Maybe they can trade Jeff Carter and get another one .

Couple things today. Vlad Guerrero's mutual option declined by the Rangers, Adrian Beltre declines his player option (no surprise), and the Mets picked up Jose Reyes' option. Also, the Marlins are bringing back Edwin Rodriguez for next season.

Considered heading down to the game last minute. Decided against it.

Yeah honestly, it is comparing apples and oranges. Also, 41 regular season NBA home games as compared to what? I don't know the exact number, but I am pretty sure MLS teams only play a fraction of that. So obviously, the demand for tickets is going to be higher.

Word. I try not to let this team disappoint me anymore. Can't say the outcome tonight was a surprise. And yes, we are probably in for a lot more of that this season. Wonder if we will ever be rewarded for putting up with this team for so long, lol.

So, this game is apparently postponed... After the Rangers game last night, they were doing their regular maintenance and some "asbestos-related materials" fell from the attic, so MSG is supposedly closed "indefinitely". Damn, this might get interesting.

Honestly that is probably the smart thing to do with a new GM. Give Alderson a year to get a sense of things, and once the bad contracts are off the books, let him put his stamp on the team. Probably means a 4th or 5th place finish this year though.

I picked the Orioles as my "surprise" team before this season. They let me down, but I plan on picking them again next season. I do like where they are headed.
