Cool, Kendrick allows a 3-spot in the first and we are up against Strasmas. That might just about do it. The Phillies never hit pitchers the first time they see them, so this will likely not be fun.
-
Can't wait until the Braves face a team with a bullpen.
-
Ryan Howard activated! The regular lineup will be on the field tonight for the first time in forever. Just in time for Strasboner.
-
Aren't we talking about defense?
-
I am quite excited about Brandon Graham and Nate Allen.
-
I thought the first team defense was fine.
-
Ouch, Jon Lester: 2 IP, 8 ER, 9 hits, 3 walks, 2 HR. ECN...??
-
I am amused that there are still idiots in this city who want Michael Vick to be the starting QB.

Guys with very little experience, guys playing out of position, and guys who frankly should not be on an NFL roster. Jason Peters is the most frustrating one though. Luckily it is just the preseason and we should be getting some healthy bodies back soon.

You are forgetting the big one with the Eagles. Offensive line - looks like [expletive]. Good news is that Herremans and Jackson are supposedly making progress, because they are desperately needed.
-
Arron Asham is going to sign with the Penguins. *Sigh*, I liked him.
-
This. I am not saying the Eagles will necessarily win anything this year, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if they are a lot better than "the experts" are expecting.

Of the three players we got back from Seattle for Cliff Lee, two of them have been getting rocked in A/AA, and the third was arrested on coke charges this morning. I think the verdict is officially in on this one.
-
Whatever, I guess that was bound to happen. At least Doc goes against Washington tomorrow.

From my seats, it is usually kind of difficult to judge fly balls. But I could tell the second that left the bat that it was going a long long way. Barry Bonds hit a homerun to a similar spot in 2006, which is the only other one I remember seeing in person that was this majestic.

About 450 feet before the building got in the way. It was not coming down any time soon.
-
Roger Clemens is going to be indicted for perjury. In other news, the sky is blue.
-
Cobb, you should start going to games. And bring a couple thousand of your friends too. Seriously, a team in first place and playing great baseball in the middle of August should be getting more than 18,000 fans to their games.
-
I am quite excited about Kevin Kolb also.
-
Dom Brown's HR tonight is one of the longest I have ever seen in person.
-
The Braves acquired Derrek Lee today, a trade which I do not understand. They already have a right-handed first baseman who is going to give them Derrek Lee-like production, named Troy Glaus. Lee brings slightly better defense I suppose, but this seems like another lateral move (like the trade for Ankiel and Farnsworth).

The band is almost completely back together and they are on their typical August roll. Fun times. Also, I had some pretty rad seats last night. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/mail.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/mail-4.jpg http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/philsphan1210/mail-1.jpg

Report: Favre 'back in,' flying to Minnesota
Phightins replied to ChosenOne's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
Un[expletive]ingreal.....ESPN has officially jumped the shark. Well never mind, they did that a long time ago. But they are outdoing themselves with this one. -

Yeah....I see that now. Not the regular format though. It threw me off when I saw Tedy Bruschi talking from the regular ESPN studio, and the coverage of Favre's car driving away from the airport. [expletive] this station. -

Cool....ESPN decided to cancel their only show that I actually enjoy (Rome is Burning) in favor of some extra Favre programming.
