Sounds like we are getting Roy Oswalt and $11 million for JA Happ, Anthony Gose, and Vance Worley. And kicking in $1 million to Oswalt's buyout so we don't need to pick up the 2012 option. Wow. If only Ruben was as good at contract negotiations and offseason moves as he is at robbing teams blind at the trade deadline.

The Fox affiliate in Houston is reporting that it's a done deal, pending Oswalt signing off on it. Kind of fishy though, since they did not mention any of the guys going back to Houston. Also, they are not affiliated with the Astros in any way, so there's no way to tell if it's legitimate. Ken Rosenthal and co. are still looking for confirmation.

Well, Ibanez is actually hitting now. And no, no way Werth gets traded. Nobody else in the organization (with an MLB ready bat) can play center. Francisco can, but poorly. Bottom line is Werth is needed more than ever now.

Someone in Houston is reporting that Roy Oswalt is going to be traded to the Phillies. Not sure if this is legit, or if it's BS like that Werth rumor the other day. Probably BS. There is another report that we've traded for Fausto Carmona lol. So obviously at least one (probably both) of these is wrong.

Oh yeah, there was almost a riot outside the game. Some idiots decided that since the Diamondbacks were in town, it was only logical to go to the stadium and protest the AZ immigration law. Another group that supports the law showed up, and it got pretty ugly. I wanted to stay and watch more but I had to get inside to catch the beginning of the game. I'm sure a video will surface soon.

Even if it is an illegal substance, it clearly has not helped Jamie Moyer and Joe Blanton. But for real, it's just rosin. And it can be found somewhere on the uniform of many Major League pitchers. Every guy has their own nervous tic. Some toss the rosin bag around then adjust their cap, or pat the front of their jersey/their [expletive]/whatever.

I am happy to report that I have both Garza and Scherzer in my fantasy lineup. Doesn't look quite so nice right now, but still not bad.

Well, if all he cares about is location and getting that 2012 option picked up, I am not sure I want him here anyway. Jerry Crasnick disagrees with that, though. He says he'd go anywhere (including here) as long as the 2012 option is picked up. More evidence as to why these "insiders" are not to be trusted.
