Dan Carcillo!!!! What a game. Killed off 8 Devil power plays. The D is playing great. Braydon Coburn stepped up and had a very strong game. Mike Richards and Claude Giroux are playing IMO the best hockey of their career. Holy [expletive] what a win.
-
And apparently the definition of "hooking" is changing by the minute.
-
Unbelievable....enough with the soft penalties, just let them play. It's the [expletive]in playoffs.
-
Can't say I feel bad for Jason Marquis....how's that karma Jason?
-
Back at the Wachovia Center tonight for game 3. They have traditionally been a much better home team this year so hopefully that holds true here.
-
They never hit in cold weather. Got lucky with really warm weather to start the year, then what do you know...weather gets cold the past 2 days and they stop hitting. Cole Hamels looked very good at least.
-
I have never personally seen one in Philadelphia either (and I probably attend 40+ games a year).
-
Yes, we are all the same after all.
-
Make all of us Philadelphia fans proud by finding a cop and projectile vomiting all over him. If he has his daughters there with him, get them too. Because, you know, all Philadelphia fans love that kind of thing.
-
Give them hell!!! I know you will.

Again... If you put 20,000-80,000 people in the same building (especially if it's in a passionate sports city and there is alcohol involved), things like this will unfortunately happen. It happens way too much in Philadelphia, but it happens just as much in New York, Boston, Chicago, and other similar cities.

For a particular season, yes. I agree with Fish. Jimenez is great but I think it's a stretch to say he's as good as Lincecum, Halladay, Santana, Johnson, and Carpenter (and a few others I am too lazy to think of right now). There's nothing saying he can't put an incredible year together like Zach Greinke did last year and win a Cy Young, though.
-
He looked safe to me. Oh well, still an epic game.

Pretty lame that a blown call looms pretty large right now. But hey anything can happen still.

So, I watched the first 4 innings of this game on TV, left and went to the Phillies game (got there 45 minutes before the first pitch too, no less). And now here I am, back from the Phillies game, and this is still on TV. One of the many reasons I love baseball.

Thomas Vanek "lower body injury" and will not return. Ouch.
-
OK, as I expected, Lukas Krajicek will be back in the lineup tomorrow night and Oskars Bartulis will be a scratch (or at least that's what the word is today).
-
I'm saying that this kind of stuff happens everywhere. Not making excuses for what the guy did, it was disgusting, and I think if you ask around the majority of Philadelphia fans would agree (and are also absolutely sick of all Philadelphia fans getting thrown into that same mold). Again, 130 people arrested at Dodger Stadium earlier this week, yet nothing on ESPN about it. One idiot arrested here, and we go through this whole "Philadelphia fans are up to it again!" cycle for the umpteenth time. It's just pretty annoying if you ask me. The fact is this. If you put 20,000-80,000 random people in a building many times a year, you are going to have people do stupid things, no matter what city you are in.
-
Sharks and Avs going to OT. Joe Pavelski ties it up late.
-
Two good games going on.
-
The Ryan Parent/Oskars Bartulis pairing was terrible, as expected. The Devils got the Flyers pinned into their own end with those 2 on the ice...and well, I saw that Zubrus goal coming a mile away. Lukas Krajicek better be back in the lineup for game 3 instead of one of those 2. Also it seems like Scott Hartnell has lost all hockey competence. He has seriously been god-awful. I wouldn't be shocked to see Ville Leino playing on Sunday.
-
[expletive]ty luck for David Herndon. He gave up a bunch of runs in the 9th but not one ball was hit hard. At least they finished the game off.
-
Yeah. I don't know if he can be called overrated since most people with hockey knowledge know that he isn't a defensive defenseman. I think most people see him for what he is, which is exactly how you described him.
-
Not the first time he's done that. It's pretty [expletive]ing hilarious every time though.
