  1. I doubt they will, just from a logic standpoint. They have already announced that Michael Vick will be on the roster next year, and it just doesn't make sense to have your 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks be Michael Vick and Tim Tebow. Just think about that for a second...
  2. Eh, I don't think Peter King would write something like that just for attention, he's one of the best. And I've heard from a bunch of people that they are probably going to draft a quarterback.
  3. They play that at Flyers games al the time haha.
  4. I don't post there. Can't stand most of those guys haha.
  5. The "WIP-calling morons" will turn on him for sure (WIP is our joke of a sports talk station, FYI). Trust me, most Philadelphia fans hate those guys as much as the rest of the country.
  6. When somebody on the Eagles board mentions something, I typically disregard it right away
  7. Blah. Oh well, good game at least. Also, can't stand Brian Zoubek. Dude went to my middle school though.
  8. I think Jason Heyward is going to have a hell of a career, but I don't think he will be as amazing as everyone thinks this season. Everyone needs to calm down. And I never once compared talent. I would agree that Jason Heyward is a superior prospect. But the Jay Bruce hype was absolutely insane 2 years ago, and people were not ready for it when he fell back down to earth, just as I expect Heyward to at sometime this season.
  9. Seriously, give "The Ho" a chance. He has been a full time reliever for only the past 2 seasons, and I think he's done pretty damn well. Sure, it was in the NL, so who knows how that translates to the AL. But I wouldn't look at his numbers as a starter and panic. He had a renaissance when the Dodgers decided to make him a full-time reliever in 2008.
  10. I agree he isn't as talented, but do you remember the talk when he came up and had a crazy good first 2 or 3 weeks in the Majors?
  11. In terms of hype, I agree. Griffey went on to deliver, and 1+ great year in pro ball does not automatically mean that Heyward will. As a fan of an NL East team, I am scared to death of the guy, but lets spare the anointing oil for now.
  12. I agree, I'm sick of the Heyward talk too. Guy is crazy talented, but lets talk again after the season. Remember all the Jay Bruce hype a couple years ago?
  13. The Eagles are well aware of what he has done for this franchise. This trade has nothing to do with that.
  14. Yeah I heard that as well. The Eagles certainly went out of the way to make him happy. I really think every side wins.
  15. Well I doubt he'd trash Andy Reid ever. Lurie and Banner? Who knows.
  16. Also, aside from breaking news, the writers aren't really held to any standards on Twitter. They can write whatever the hell they want basically, so it's also a good source for hearing about the teams/players on a more personal level, as well as any other obscure tidbits, if you're into that sort of thing.
  17. Now that I am over the shock, I like this trade more and more. Yes, it is going to suck seeing Donovan come into the Linc for the first time, but the Eagles wound up getting a high 2nd round pick which is really what I have expected all along. If this trade was to the Rams, I don't think people would have as big an issue with it, despite the fact that the Eagles would be getting basically the same compensation. And if Andy Reid is telling the truth that this is the best offer he got, then how can he be blamed for pulling the trigger. And if he is telling the truth about Donovan wanting to go to Washington, then it's a win for everybody.
  18. I don't like those people either, and really I think they are the minority. More people like him than hate him, but you'd never know that since all you ever hear about are the morons who call into WIP (our radio station) talking [expletive] about him. And it's hard to pass judgement on Kolb, seeing as he's only had 2 starts. They obviously have a boner for him, so we'll see how it goes.
  19. So, when Johan Santana gives up a homerun on his changeup I will have to remember to come on here and make a sarcastic comment suggesting it sucks because of one homerun ball. But really, maybe the Phillies did know what they were doing when they didn't bring him back.... <_<
  20. Ugh....when the Redskins come in here to play next year...that's going to be such a weird day.
