Yeah every day. I am also a fly on the wall at the GM meetings and I listen in on every phone call between GMs. Lol it's called mlbtraderumors.com and Twitter people.

The Flyers signed Lukas Krajicek today. I'd be lying if I said I knew much about him, but I am guessing this means the end of OK Tollefsen being in the lineup every night, AKA a stop-gap until Danny Syvret and/or Ryan Parent get back. Or possibly this means Oskars Bartulis will head back to the AHL. Who knows, we will find out. Anyway, to make room, Mika Pyorala was sent to the Phantoms. He had been a healthy scratch pretty much every game for the past month and a half or so.

Welcome to OTR, new fellow.

Alright, well thank goodness the Flyers won today, despite one of the worst officiating displays I have seen all season, which further added to my suspicion that the NHL has it out for the Flyers as a result of the Carcillo/Gaborik incident. For those who didn't see it, the Flyers were up 2-0 when Kimmo Timonen scored. Scott Hartnell bumped into Dwayne Roloson after the puck was clearly in the net. None of the officials signaled no-goal. and Kerry Fraser who was standing 5 feet away from the net and had the best view of anybody signaled good goal. Roloson and the rest of the Islanders complained, and the officials looked at the jumbotron for a replay and then decided to change their mind, which is bull[expletive] on so many levels. First of all, goaltender interference is not a reviewable play. Also, every single official agreed that it was a good goal when it happened, and they did not decide to change their mind until after the Islanders complained and they saw the arena-vision replay. And all of this doesn't change the fact that the puck was clearly past Roloson before Hartnell made contact! Anyway, they called off the goal and gave the Islanders a power play, which they scored on, and made it a 2-1 game instead of 3-0. This is the second 2-goal swing this week that the officials have caused against the Flyers. Peter Laviolette was going insane. I really thought John Stevens was a good coach but he never would have called out poor officiating, and I am happy to see Laviolette ball up and call them out. Anyway, I hope this a trend that doesn't continue much longer.

Someone convince me there is not a conspiracy against the Flyers.....oh my god.

I really like the new lines. Gagne-Richards-Hartnell Powe-Carter-Briere van Riemsdyk-Giroux-Asham Carcillo-Betts-Laperriere The bottom 2 lines have been the same for a while, but today Laviolette switched Hartnell and Powe, and now Hartnell is playing on the right side with Richards and Gagne. Other than Carter, the top 2 lines have sucked for the past couple weeks. The Giroux and Betts lines have been carrying the offense. In the first period today, it looked like the switches paid off because the top 2 lines looked very good. Hopefully this continues.

I'm not sure why that makes you happy, lol. Maybe 3 years ago. But I guess for $400k it can't hurt.

Mike Green was suspended for 3 games. I have not seen the video of what he did.

L.A. Lakers @ Philadelphia

He has been playing great recently and I think most Sixer fans realize that. However he has the worst contract in the NBA, and this is a 15-31 team. If they can find a way to unload this contract they have to do it. Also, he gets very moody and if something pisses him off and he decides not to play hard for whatever reason, he doesn't. However if he keeps playing like he has recently, I have no problems with him on the court, but with that said the Sixers absolutely have to trade him if they can find someone to take the contract. -
Today's game is a must win. There, I said it.

He didn't take it inside (obviously). But that sign made the hour long crawl out of the parking lot after the game somewhat entertaining. -

That was a fun game, but every time the Lakers are in town it is fun. I thought the Sixers played pretty well. They kept it a hell of a lot closer than I expected, but of course Eddie Jordan had to use the worst possible lineup for most of the 2nd (seriously, Lou Williams Marreese Speights and Willie Green on the floor at the same time? Come on). Anyway, Lakers carved them apart and built that solid 8-12 point lead the despite the Sixers (Iverson in particular) playing well for a good part of the second half, it was not enough. Anyway, the Kobe fans (I say Kobe fans because 99% of the people in Lakers gear only cheered when Kobe did something and couldn't care less when anybody else on the team did) were annoying beyond belief. I don't think Kobe would get as much [expletive] from the Sixers fans if not for those obnoxious [expletive]s, to be honest. Most of the booing was directed at them, and when they tried to start a MVP chant. I was happy that the Sixers fans were able to shut that down. But the Laker fans came in and acted like they owned the place, and I HATE when opposing fans do that. Show some respect. -
Basketball is way more boring IMO. But to each their own, don't want to fire this debate up again. Everybody digs their own thing.

Good. When they are 15-30 and have been mediocre (at their best points) for the past ten years with no signs of escaping this (and having two of the worst contracts in the NBA, to add insult to injury), there better be no untouchables.

I will be attending this game with our old friend "Diesel". The sign he has with him shouldn't be too hard to miss, but I wouldn't count on it making it on TV... -
The Flyers picked an awful time to play their worst period of the year. That was a huge 2 points that they just pissed away. If the Flyers miss the playoffs by a point or 2, this will be the game I point at. Just horrible.

I wish we still had the 'Ho.

That is what everyone said about Chan Ho Park when we signed him last winter and he wound up being the most reliable guy in our pen. I dunno, small sample size to go on I guess, but he did look pretty good out of the bullpen in Colorado. We shall see.
-
I like it. This year's Chan Ho Park, minus wasting a month and a half trying him out in the rotation. He can seriously fill Park's role perfectly. He has been a starter for his entire career so he can definitely go multiple innings if need be, also has the "stuff" to pitch in the 8th or 9th inning if need be. Really nice hybrid pitcher.

Lol I have no idea.

Also today, Jim Thome signed with the Twins, Rich Hill signed with the Cardinals, and Jon Garland signed with the Padres.
