  1. I'm down, haha. If we find a sucker to take Brand then it sounds good to me.
  2. Haha I heard about this the other day. Pretty hilarious.
  3. Lou has been pretty good offensively, despite the fact that his D blows. Don't think Iverson would really be an upgrade over him, but he sure as hell would sell tickets which is why I think the Sixers should bring him in. They are not winning anything this year with or without AI.
  4. The scary part is that they easily could have lost any of those 5 games against the "bad teams". They have not been impressive to me even in their victories.

  6. Brand seems almost as untradeable as Sammy to me.
  7. I just got around to seeing this last night, thought it was one of the worst movies I have seen in a long time. Effects were cool, but in my book that can only take a movie so far, especially when the acting and plot is as piss poor as it was here. Just like every other major disaster movie. Also, it just dragged on and on and on. Should have known not to waste my time with it.
  8. That game Friday is the only home game over the weekend, fyi. Also, me Bamf and Greg will be at the game Friday as well.
  9. Blair Betts and Darroll Powe are both going to miss a ton of time with shoulder injuries. Great.
  10. It would be nice but it seems like Stefanski has a hard-on for him so I am sure he will last the season. Also, no matter who the coach is, until they get a superstar on this team, or reach the Finals by accident, they will have problems putting asses in the seats.
  11. This is getting pretty ugly. Upcoming schedule is brutal as well.
  12. Yeah they are already in hot water over the Hossa deal (same thing Flyers are dealing with over Pronger deal) so I am sure they are being very careful here. If they can somehow pull this all off though, major props. I saw no way they'd fit all three in.
  13. I was watching him get interviewed today by the MLB Network guys, and all I could think of was you with long hair.
  14. The Flyers are 10-1 in games with Blair Betts in the lineup. Pretty crazy.
  15. Brian Boucher with his first win as a Flyer since 2002. Don't want to jinx anything, but this team looks very good.
  16. Yeah he was very good. I wonder if all the bad press he's gotten over the past few days motivated him. Also, Rodney Carney was very good as well.
  17. That is true about Snider not really caring about the Sixers, but pretty much all he does is signs the checks. He lets Stefanski do what he needs to do, pretty much, he just doesn't get involved like he does with the Flyers.
  18. They have played horribly. They could very easily be 0-11. They have not shown me anything, even in their wins (most of which have been highly lucky). As for your question, I did, for one.
  19. The Pirates are the biggest joke in baseball, I can agree with Fish on that point.
  20. Well, that was nice. Hopefully this leads to some momentum.
  21. Finally Elton. Lets see if Jordan lets him play the 4th.
  22. You have these problems in every league, though. The Marlins problems have absolutely nothing to do with a lack of a salary cap. Miami is just proving to be a horrible market for baseball. What is the excuse for the Phoenix Coyotes or Nashville Predators? They play in a capped league, but that doesn't stop them from having tons of financial problems.
  23. I really do not think Omar Minaya is a good general manager (and I am not just saying this because I am a Phillies fan or because I think it is "cool" to hate on the Mets or whatever). He is great at using the funds he is given and making the "sexy" signings, but he is not good at building depth or filling out his roster. Kind of irrelevant here, but I figured I'd throw my 2 cents in.
  24. It is also 100% impossible to implement a salary cap with all of the big money guaranteed contracts currently in the game. Everybody should just get the idea out of their head, it is not going to happen, nor is it as big a deal as everyone is making it. I really don't think there is that big of a problem with baseball that it needs to be "fixed".
