IMO, Nash's agent is the one to blame there. After that entire soap opera, Howson had to do something to save face. I don't really look at it as Howson selling Nash out, more of him telling his fan base (or what is left of it) that the team was handcuffed.

Deadline passes and the Flyers do nothing. Couldn't be happier. Losing all those draft picks for Kubina and Grossman still stings a bit, but they are probably worth it, even if they're just rentals. I am mostly happy that JvR/Schenn/Couturier/Bobrovsky were not traded.

Sorry to interrupt the pissing match, but lets stop ignoring the real issue. Regardless of how the top line matches up with others, the Rangers are scarier with Nash (pending what they give up). Not something that us Flyers/Bruins/Leafs fans should be excited about, considering that the Rangers look primed to steamroll through the Eastern Conference playoffs with or without him.

TV doesn't do crowd noise justice, so it's impossible to know unless you've been to all of these places.

Don't get me wrong that is a ton to give up, and honestly if I am the Rangers (or any team) I stay away until the price significantly drops. But, compared to some of the other rumors I have heard, that seems a bit light. I guess that's why they are just rumors...

The latest Nash to NYR rumor is for one of Del Zotto/McDonough, Tim Erixon, and a first round pick. If that is the best Howson can do, shouldn't he just keep Nash?

My favorite part about this whole story is that some 16 year old kid broke this story like a week before any of the professionals had it.
