What a BRUTAL call on Turner. Really don't want to have to blame refs for a Sixers loss, but this crew has been horrid.

Andre [expletive]ing Miller. Ugh. Seriously?

Nene doing what he wants. Missin' u Spence

Terribly frustrating.

Yup. It's gonna be ridiculously cool. Kind of surprised NBC signed off on it, though, since their audience is literally cut in half from what it potentially could have been. Or maybe they don't have as much power in this as I thought.

2013 Winter Classic will be Red Wings-Maple Leafs at Michigan Stadium. It is official, according to the Detroit Free Press. Kind of surprised that a Canadian team will be involved, but I am excited already.

I acknowledge that I am a big Sixers homer, BUT, really? 0 votes for Andre Iguodala for "best perimeter defender"? Reallllllly?

ARB avoided with Hamels. Signs for $15 million this coming season. Guess they have given up hope of a long term deal prior to free agency. I now put the chances of Cole leaving next winter at 85%.

First game I will be attending this season. Woooo.

Seven Philly players now averaging double figures
Phightins replied to Need4Sheed's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
I am interested to see what happens as they get involved in more close games. The never ending debate last year was who should take the last shot. Haven't really had to deal with that this year yet, since basically every game has been a blow out (smallest margin of victory is 8 points). They are 0-3 in games decided by 6 or less, so I guess this may be a cause for concern. Great part of this team is that not one dude is selfish, but they seem to have trouble in situations where they need one guy to take control. It's a weird dynamic. -

Interested to see how the goaltending situation continues to play out. Seems like Lavy just wants to ride the hot hand (Bob), which is understandable since Bob is clearly the better goalie, but I am guessing there is pressure from the suits upstairs to get Bryz into games. Bryz played last night in Nashville. Even though he got the loss, I don't think he was terrible, but it seems like the team plays better/harder in front of Bob. Maybe I am just imagining things.

The Sixers are 9-3. I do not believe it.... Tonight got a bit hairy towards the end, but a win is a win. Andre, Thad, and Lou were all awesome.

Music basically got me through grade school and high school. Played in various bands at school and with friends. Unfortunately I have barely touched any of it in the past 4 years. Started playing piano and saxophone when I was 10. Took drum lessons for a few years also.

This is the hit that supposedly did it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzVmjN4CDeQ&feature=youtu.be I bet Denis Potvin feels special now after that embellishment rant.

JvR out indefinitely with a concussion. Guess we can forget about those Schenn rumors for a while. Concussions!!!

Maybe Kyle or Waldo can chime in, but I am not sure that this is really true. The reason Montero's name was always floating around was because most teams considered him to be the Yankees' most valuable asset. So every time the Yankees popped up in trade rumors for big players, one of the first guys the other team would ask for is Montero. More indicative of how valuable Montero is, if I had to guess. Also, agreed about Pineda being a stud, but as I said in the other thread, his ground ball rate would worry me if I were a Yankee fan. Last year he gave up almost two fly balls/line drives for every ground ball, which you can obviously get away with at Safeco. Yankee Stadium is a different story. So it seems like kind of a weird fit for both teams, but positionally it fills needs on both sides.

Sixers win 120-89. Shoot 12-for-18 from behind the arc.
-
Seems like the Sixers are falling asleep a bit with a big lead.
-
It certainly helps in the regular season, but you need a perfect storm of things going right in order to win in October. Most talented team doesn't always win. Most of the time it doesn't win, actually.

Meh...I feel like this is outdated honestly. My 2011 Phillies are unfortunately the prime example .

Wizards suck. Sixers kicking ass. Feels good.

And now the Yankees sign Kuroda. Rotation looking a lot stronger than it did 30 minutes ago.

Pineda is pretty damn awesome. Didn't realize he had such a big fly ball rate though. May be an issue. Montero is probably devastated too....going from Yankee Stadium to Safeco is probably the worst move a RH batter can make.
