Lets make that 3 goals on 8 shots, although this most recent one is not really on Bryz.

Flyers are dominating yet losing 2-1 thanks to two very weak goals allowed by Bryz. The Flyers have been losing these kinds of games for my entire time as a fan, thought it might finally end the season after giving a 9 year contract to a goalie. Guess not, although there is still plenty of time here tonight.

Pretty much accurate, although if everything goes right I really think we can compete with Boston and New York as is. We'll see though. And yep, this is my dilemma as a Sixers fan. This team is awesome to watch. 7-8 very good players and a good coach that everyone seems to buy into. It just really sucks knowing that there is no way they ever contend for a championship. If we wind up with a top 6 seed, I could see this team winning a playoff series, but that is absolute best case scenario. Not a chance they can hang with Chicago or Miami without that number 1 guy.

Last night was pretty encouraging despite the result. Lou Williams was awesome, and Spencer Hawes was serviceable. Both of these things were awesome to see, particularly the latter. Sixers were a .500 team last year with Hawes playing like garbage for most of the year. If he can be average at best, that is a huge improvement.

God damnit Andre.

Not saying I agree or disagree with this. But consider...the Andy Reid regime has gotten so unbelievably stale, and with these "meaningless wins", we are being practically guaranteed that no real change will be made for next season. That is why so many Eagles fans are frustrated. Not sure if it has so much to do with draft position, although it is a nice little insult added to injury that the draft pick will be so meh.

So, looks like this season will wind up finishing with the worst possible case scenario. Good chance we finish 8-8, but no playoffs, shitty draft pick, and enough of a push towards the end of the season to convince the front office that change might not be needed.

And this game is officially just for pride.

Hey NFL....yes I am in Philadelphia, but this Giants/Jets game (for now) is significantly more relevant than Eagles/Cowboys. So shove those broadcast regulations up your ass. So annoying.

Torts' 1st intermission speech in St. Louis was gold. As was basically every other second of last night's episode.

One play was cool, but he looked awful for the rest of the game. It's cool though, I am not giving up on him based on two preseason games or anything. Pretty shitty year to be a rookie. Will probably be a slower process, but hopefully he can get it together.

Jrue Holiday is really, really good. My goodness. Perhaps I am a homer, but I have a feeling he is an all star this year.

Giroux was a full participant in practice today, and worked with his regular line. All signs point to him returning tomorrow night in Dallas. Fantastic news.

Haha, indeed he is. He was out there a few hours after a blizzard last winter also. I'm sure he's a bit annoyed that his field is occupied at the moment.
