Zac Rinaldo drives me insane, and he is not particularly good, but I will give him credit. He is tough as nails. Just held his own vs Konopka.

Ronnie Brown to Detroit for Jerome Harrison and a 2013 7th round pick. I like it. Brown has shown that he either can't play in this system, or he is done, or some combination of the two. Harrison did a fine job as the #2 back here last season. He doesn't have to do much to be an upgrade.

Really disappointing how the Flyers treat their fans like shit. Some of the best fans in the league. Every game is packed, awesome TV ratings every night, etc etc etc. As if the 200% price increase on all upper level seats this season wasn't enough, now they are screwing everyone (season ticket holders and common fans) for Winter Classic tickets. Basically, the general public will have absolutely no access to tickets (besides through third parties such as StubHub). Season ticket holders get access, but they are forced to not only buy tickets to the main event, but also to the alumni game and the Phantoms game later in the week. An absolute joke. Although, the lack of access for the general public is the NHL's doing and not the Flyers. Still incredibly annoying. I really want to go to this game, but now it looks like I will either need to pay an arm and a leg on StubHub or hope to get lucky and get invited by a season ticket holder.

This is now official. Interesting stuff out of their introductory news conference. My favorite bit of news is that over half of the seats in the building will have ticket prices slashed by 50% or more. Also there are strong rumors that HipHop will be out as mascot, which would be great. And oh yeah, the biggest news: Ed Stefanski officially out. Not surprising, but now official. AND Will Smith has a minority stake in the team. Kind of cool.

WAS worse, as in, was horrible last night. And he is quite mediocre, to be honest. -

Not sure why Ron Roenicke left Shaun Marcum in so long. It was clear one or two batters in that Marcum had nothing tonight. There is no tomorrow, so you have to go get him immediately. Of course, it's easy to say this in hindsight. And Chris Narveson was even worse. But yeah. -
He actually wasn't hurt, just had dirt in his eyes or something.

3 picks for Coleman. Mostly thanks to Rex Grossman being terrible.
-
Apparently not as bad as I thought.
-
And the Vince Young era begins. Whoever had "concussion" for the Week 6 Vick injury-of-the-week is a winner.
-
Another red zone turnover. How many times can this shit happen?
-
Kurt Coleman is so awful. Seriously, what is the holdup on getting Jai Jarrett into a game?
-
I'd have taken my chances. Also, Kurt Coleman does not get the benefit of the doubt.
-
Kurt Coleman is an idiot. Eagles would have wound up with much better field position if he just deflected that pass, not picked it.
-
A very Eagles first drive there.

Seeing the Flyers play against Mike Richards is all kinds of weird.

I haven't read up on all of the details/put much thought into it. So I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. But the "don't do it because he is the face of the franchise" argument is pretty dumb, IMO. Do what is best for your team/business, put personal feelings aside. With all of that said, I struggle to believe that Andrew Luck (or almost any QB) will be better than Peyton Manning for the next 3-4 years. But hey, if they think they are better off long term, then all the power to them. I am going to guess that the Colts know more about his health situation than any of us. And obviously, that is a huge chunk of money involved.

There have been a lot of trade rumors involving Scott Hartnell lately. If there is indeed interest out there, the time has definitely come for the Flyers to pull the trigger (assuming most of his salary can be cleared, which is no sure thing, obviously). Brayden Schenn has nothing left to prove in any non-NHL level of hockey. He is wasting away in the AHL right now (5 points through 2 games so far, no surprise). Not to mention the cap situation (even more in question right now with the whole Blair Betts situation), which would be improved big time if Hartnell's number came off the books. I am not sure who has interest in Hartnell. I have heard Nashville mentioned. But it seems pretty obvious that something is up, since he has been getting very little ice time so far this season. So basically, if this can be done, it has to be done. It would allow them to get Schenn to the NHL, it would allow them to keep Sean Couturier all season, and it would open up an additional $2 million or so of cap space to play with.

Yes this has been more or less done for quite some time now. They just needed to dot some I's and cross some T's. As for your trade idea, please, for the love of god, no.

People are dumb and are hypocrites. That is basically what it comes down to. It was also very cool how he showed support for Beagle both right after the fight and after the game. The John Carlson Twitter thing is another story. I actually think it's pretty funny, but it would have been much better if he posted that on his news feed and not in a DM.

I feel for Kelce and Mathis. They had no clue what they were getting into when they asked the fans to get rid of the sign. Kelce in particular is getting crucified on WIP today.
-
Beagle got wrecked. Goodness. I miss Ash .

Nice secondary assist* Weren't you the one ripping secondary assists last season?

I am pro-cancer, duh.
