My game of the night: Clearwater Threshers vs. Palm Beach Cardinals. Chase Utley and Carlos Ruiz (as well as Jonathan Singleton, Joe Savery, Jiwan James, and Leandro Castro) in the lineup, and Roy Oswalt on the mound. And it is on TV. Very excited.

I feel a lot better about the Sixers-Heat series now after seeing what Miami did to the Celtics.

Poor Kendrys Morales. One homerun celebration, basically two lost seasons.

Really have no idea what to expect/hope for this offseason. Part of me wants to see them overpay for Bryzgalov, but the realistic fan in me does not want any part of this. There should be some cap space to play with though. Cap going up, plus Leino and Zherdev unlikely to be re-signed. I also expect a defenseman to be dealt (Carle or Coburn probably). So there will be a bit of wiggle room. I'd love to have Bryzgalov for next season, maybe the next two seasons. Good goaltender in his prime, Russian mentor for Bobs, etc. Seems like a perfect situation if they can make the money and years work. Not sure why Bryz would want to come here long time when it's clear Bobs is the "goalie of the future". Whatever, I don't even care at this point. Go do something stupid. Go sign somebody to a stupid contract. The current process is not winning any championships...

Not the prettiest baseball, but 2 of 3 is 2 of 3. I will take it. Offense continues to frustrate the hell out of me, though. Can't wait til Chase is back and D-Brown is (hopefully) called up.

Phillies lose 2-1...Roy Halladay walks the opposing pitcher, leading to the first run, and a Jimmy Rollins error leads to the second run. Baseball is a weird game sometimes. This team's approach at the plate is so painful to watch. We get the top two hitters in our lineup up in the 9th inning with a runner on base against a pitcher notorious for control problems, and with no command tonight. They see a combined 4 pitches. That totally can't happen.

Phillies gave it to them. Horrible fundamentals. Can't lose a game when your starting pitcher outduels Josh Johnson. Pretty disappointing.

Note to Phillies: Don't swing at this garbage Nunez is throwing...

I really love complete game losses. More than anything else in the world, really. Especially when the deciding run is unearned. So awesome.

Chase Utley begins his formal rehab assignment tonight after raking in extended spring training the past few days. May be back in a week or less. It will certainly be nice to go from absolutely no production out of 2B to some of the best 2B production in the league. Also, Dom Brown needs to be re-called from AAA. Raul Ibanez is out of gas. Not sure what the hold-up is.

Fielding percentage

The Sixers will take him.

Meh Where have I heard this before? And rofl at Kate [expletive]an's name getting censored.

Utley and Brown need to come back, and Ibanez needs to lose a significant amount of the at-bats he currently gets. These three things happening will make the offense immediately better.

Seriously, why the [expletive] is Ibanez batting against Venters here? Wake up Charlie.

The Phillies will lose this game 5-4. Calling it.

I wish Charlie wasn't so stubborn. The man will never call for a squeeze play, ever. That Valdez at-bat was a perfect spot for it.

Something I never thought I'd say this year: I wish Joe Morgan was still in the ESPN booth. Good job, Bobby Valentine. You are a moron in every sense of the word.

Wonder if John Smoltz will still be complaining about how small the park is after that Gonzalez HR.
