Hornets could package Peja+Collison

That and he can't stay healthy. I really don't want us to trade DC if at all possible. -
I could be wrong, but I doubt he'll enter and hire an agent and stay in the pool. He's a big time player though, and can really score the ball. Just needs another year of exposure, seasoning, and working on his explosiveness.

Yeah, saw this last night. 2DopeBoyz originally said they were all in the studio together then they edited their post to say they are working on a project together. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to this being huge fans of J. Cole and Blu and having a lot of respect for Lupe and The Cool Kids. Dunno much about Diggy though.

Ah, I cannot stand Plies. I can't tell you how many times before I stopped listening to the radio completely that I turned up a song with a beat that really hit hard in the car only to have to turn it down when Plies came in and started yelling his verse. Atrocious.

May 18th. The Lil Wayne feature should be pretty interesting. -

You have HipHopHead's definition of relevant confused. Staying 'relevant' in the hip hop world shouldn't mean that your name is recognizable -- it should mean that your song meanings, lyrical structure, and flow can still keep up with the day's best artists. Jay Z is definitely relevant as far as being recognized by hip hop fans, but his lyrical talents aren't keeping up with the likes of Fashawn, Blu, Mos Def, or even his own J. Cole, to name a few. BP3 confirms that. Yes, it was a solid album compared to the garbage that the majority of the mainstream hip hop artists have put out of late, but it was wack compared to what he have heard from Jay Z at different points in his career, and it was definitely not up to par with what other artists (underground) have put out. That considered, he's no longer 'relevant' in that realm of hip hop that HHH is referring to. Jay will definitely have a few spots to redeem himself with a feature on Drake's album and a rumored feature on Dr. Dre's new album. We'll have to see what he comes up with. Additionally, he's not 'easily' the biggest name in hip hop today by any means. He may very well be, but guys like Eminem, 50 Cent, and Wayne can all put up arguments. Now 50 hasn't been relevant for awhile now, but that doesn't take away the fact that he has a ridiculously huge international fan base. Wayne is more restricted to the US, but his intertational base is rapidly climbing.

Kid Cudi. He's original and has actual substance in most of his songs. Drake, on the other hand, hasn't really put out much stuff that I like since signing on with YM. His content and not-so-great punchlines are really getting old very quickly. He better start bringing it on his album or he will get embarrassed on his own stage. Bringing weak sauce on songs featuring Eminem, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, Kanye, etc. will not end well.
-
Fail. Fail. You really need to go look at some of the lyrics in his songs. He may have a very simple writing style, but he's got quite a few songs that have very good meaning behind them that can be applied to the common person. He's unconventional, but you simply can't dismiss him as a horrible rapper, "plain and simple".

Jarvis Varnado will be a solid role player at the next level, IMO. I think Tweety Carter could be a nice steal if he actually gets drafted or signed. He's a much better, not as quick, Earl Boykins.

J Dilla, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Dr. Dre, Hi-Tek, Just Blaze, Mannie Fresh

Drake writes his own stuff, however I'd take Cudi over him nowadays. A couple of months ago, I would have taken Drake, but his stuff is very repetitive and unoriginal. I mean, I listen to him and I like his versatility as a rapper and singer, but he just doesn't bring the creativity that Cudi does, and Cudi has a lot more songs that are applicable to the common person and have meaning behind them. While Cudi just released another good mixtape in Cudderisback, Drake's first two songs off of his TML album have been pretty lame.

Free mixtape that dropped earlier today. Definitely some good artists on here. J. Cole and Fashawn do their thing. Figured some of you would like this.

While I also disagree on Drake's album being the best of the year, I'm really confused by your second statement. You do know that this is Drake's debut album right? There was no 'last one'.

There's no tracklist yet, but he said Jay Z, Wayne, Kanye, and Young Jeezy will all be on it. Dunno if he was able to get Sade on it or not like he wanted to. He wanted several others, too. This is from Wikipedia: Here's the only confirmed tracks:

Disappointing for a lead single, IMO. It's a solid song, but I was expecting more considering the hype. I've been a very big Drake fan, but I honestly believe he's going to need this album to be extremely good or he'll flop pretty quickly. Fortunately, his album is loaded with big time featured artists so it'll be really hard for him not to have a good album. I just think his style is starting to get very repetitive very quickly, and he's going away from verses with messages towards verses loaded with punchlines which isn't good at all. JMHO.

This is a lock for one of the top songs of the year. Simply an amazing song from Lupe.

Cavs Interested In David West?

What core? smh... -
^ Well, that would have semi-worked theoretically for the first 72 hours of the leak until Mack Maine came out and said the Rebirth album released in February will not be the same as the leaked version.
-
You people saying We Are Young Money is better than this...smh. Rebirth absolutely blows WAYM to pieces lyrically. Rebirth actually has tracks that actually have meaning and relevance toward the common person. All WAYM is a bunch of punchlines over some ill beats with absolutely no meaning at all.
-
Eh, I guess it's solid, but very disappointing considering all of the talent YM has. The album sucks lyrically for the most part. There's some insane beats in there though. "Gooder", "She Is Gone", "F the BS", and "Finale" are only ones I really have been repeating a few times. I can't stand how Wayne completely wasted the "Ms. Parker" beat.
