I've lost 3 lbs since I've been in Arizona. It's probably just water weight, but I'm also in 110 degree weather and sweating every time I step out of the door hahaha.

My buddy went to a nutritionist a couple weeks back and she told him that you should be able to lose 2-3 lbs a week if you're doing it in a healthy way. I can lose 0.5 in a day, that doesn't seem much.

I just signed up for 24 Hour Fitness in Phoenix. I worked out alot last year than pretty much stopped for a year, for no reason at all. I was stupid but it's in the past. I'm hoping to lose 35 lbs by September and a total of 70 lbs by January.

Yeah I'm going to see the dog I'm going to buy before I buy/adopt it. I'm planning on getting a young dog (1-1.5 years max) preferably a puppy though. And that's why I want to get a dog while I'm here in Phoenix, because I'll have 100x more time to spend with it, and train it with no school to keep me away.

I know I'm not going to make my decision based on forum opinions, but I was just going to get some opinions on here and see if it helps at all. I've pretty much narrowed it down to 5 types of breeds. Price really isn't an issue, because I'm going to adopt, but if I can't find one for adoption I'm going to get one from a CKC/AKC breeder. I am getting one either while I'm in Phoenix for 3 months, or wait till September. I'm an average active person, but I really, really like walking dogs (dog-sat cousins dogs & would go on 3 hour walks sometimes). I will have alot of time for the dog other than when I go to school (college, only 3 hours of class a day, max). I would like to avoid a breed that has tons of health issues. I would like a breed that is generally considered friendly to humans and other dogs. I want a dog that would be considered 'medium' sized, like 50-75 lbs. No Great Danes, no Chihuahuas. Also a dog that doesn't shed a ton (like a lab). I've narrowed it down to English Bulldog (male) - #1 choice, I know it has some health issues, but I like walking dogs and they aren't active dogs. Shar Pei (male) - love the size and look, would love long walks. Boxer (female) - look cool, good temperament if raised correctly. Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (either)- rare, hard to find, and likes to swim when I don't have a pool/live in cold weather. Weimaraner/Vizsla (either) - same dog, but the Wei's are silver, and Visla's are bronzy-brown and smaller. Love the look of both. ^click to see pics/info^ Any help? Anyone have any of these dogs? I'm all for human food for your dog when she/he's in their last couple years of life, but when they're young only feed them dog food. You can spoil them with the higher quality/price food, but normal food like pedigree or eukanuba work perfectly fine.
