Just got through having a hour debate on this...my personal vote is for the Bad Boy Pistons during the 88-89 and 89-90 seasons. But who ya'll got? And in case your forgot just how good the Pistons were, check out this hoops doc Pistons Reign... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/11/classic-hoop-dreams-pistons-reign.html

Even with the Eagles win yesterday, Philly sports ain't poppin' right now, so dug in the crates and pulled out another Iverson classic with Game 7 of the 2001 Eastern Conference Semi Finals. If cats don't remember this was the series with Iverson and Vince droppin 50 on each other every game and everything coming down to Vince's last shot for the win... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/10/classic-hoop-dreams-sixers-vs-raptors.html

To me Iverson was a MONSTER in college and I'm still transfereing a RACK of old college hoops game from VHS to DVD and just came across this one. This is Iverson's freshmen year of '95 with Othello Harrington and Jerome Williams on the Hoyas vs. 'Cuse's John Wallace and Michael Lloyd. BTW, was debating this the other day, has there been a point guard since Iverson that was more explosive? My man said Wall but to me Iverson was on a whole nother level than Wall and Rose. What ya'll think? http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/08/classic-hoop-dreams-georgetown-vs.html

This was a NBA Rising Stars show that featured a young Steph & KG and Googs out in Minny, Coach Cal when he was coaching the Nets with Jayson Williams, Cassell and Kendal Gill and a young Kobe and Eddie jones talking about how they connected in philly and how they're "brothers" ...classic. http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/08/classic-hoop-dreams-nba-rising-stars-98.html

Was chopping this up in the barbershop cause all of these dudes in this doc, Jerryd Bayless, Brandon Jennings, Tyreke Evans, Kevin Love, Michael Beasley, Donte Green, Kyle Singler and Lance Stephenson were all suppose to be the next one and in my opinion 'Reke has shown he was the best out the bunch. Some dudes were saying Kevin Love but I'm of the belief that if Love was on a better team, he wouldn't be breaking records with his double doubles. So my top 3 are: 1-Reke 2-Love 3-Jennings Who ya'll got? And here's the full movie, if cats never saw it... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/07/movies-on-demand-gunnin-for-1-spot.html

I always wondered where the wolves could have gotten if Steph put his ego to the side and stayed with KG and Googs in Minny... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/07/classic-stephon-marbury-and-kevin.html

This year in college hoops, the basketball gods were behind Zona to win the chip. Coming in a #5 seed and beating 3 #1 seeds and than going into the chip game against last year's champs the Pittino lead Kentucky Wildcats trying to get the back to back chip AND the game going to overtime?!!? Not to mention the Wildcats were being led by a freshmen point guard in Mike Bibby. Dope game... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/07/classic-arizona-wildcats-vs-kentucky.html

I remember first hearing about this cat on the playgrounds out in Takoma Park and EVERYONE was saying he was the next one. For the most part he held it down at Maryland and was a human highlight and he did his thing in Houston even making rookie of the year and making an all star game and seem to be flourishing under Rudy but it seems like money's career just went down hill when Van Gundy came to town. I thought when he got traded to Orlando he'd get back on point but naw. And I know it was a wing and a prayer but I wanted him to hold in down for the Knicks but of course that never happened. So what happened to dude? I've heard everything from he REALLY didn't love ball so when he got that big contract he stopped caring to once him and Cat (Cuttino Mobley - his best friend) got traded to separate teams he lost his love but what ya'll think? Here's some highlights of Steve dropping 44 pts, 11 assists and 6 rebounds on the lakers and some highlights of him playing street ball... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/07/what-happened-steve-francis.html

My fave 5 outta these 52 are (in no order): #47 – Vinnie Johnson Finals game winner over Portland: I was on punishment when this happened and had to sneak to watch this game so this always holds a special place in my heart. Plus I was a HUGE Bad Boy fan... #39 – MJ drops the double-nickel in MSG: This was just fun to watch. And I wasn't even a MJ dude... #36 – Cats look at this like a Lakers come up (I mean they did win) but I remember this as Zeke holding it down on a broken ankle...Zeke was my dude! #20 – Reggie’s 8 points in 8.9 seconds in MSG: I remember turning this game off and going to hang out on the bridge at Morgan State KNOWING the knicks had won and I just saw MAD New Yorkers looking depressed and I'm like "what's good ya'll won?" and they were like "f-ck Reggie Miller we lost!" LMAO! #11 – Dr. J’s still-unreal, behind-the-backboard, baseline up-and-under: Just being from Philly you GOTTA love this jawn! http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/06/nbas-52-greatest-moments.html

Just in case cats missed this, here's the full movie. It came on PBS a minute ago and is a DOPE hoops documentary. It shows what Bob Hurley does for a rack of kids from the hoods in the New Jersey/New York area and showcases Mike Rosario (Rutgers), Tyshawn Taylor (Kansas) and Dominic Cheek (Villanova) during their junior and senior seasons. Like I said, this is definitely a DOPE doc to peep if you love hoops... http://www.willmakebeatsforfood.com/2011/06/street-stops-here-st-anthony-story.html
