I don't think the Dwight situation is over. It's just been put on hold.

Nets Acquire Gerald Wallace for Okur, Williams and 2012 1st
Teletopez replied to Dash's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I'm not opposed to this move. We needed immediate talent to get something going for this season. Obviously, King talked to Deron before making the deal, and Deron said yes to it. Teams knew we were desperate, and we ended up letting go of our first-rounder. Honestly, though, if it's not a top three, is it really that valuable? With the roster we have and the schedule we have, we may very well make a run for the playoffs, so the pick probably won't be that great if it's not a top three (in which case things look great). This draft class is getting weaker anyway. -
Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic

Does he even talk to the media after this current game? -
Toronto's first-rounder for Petro, straight-up? I think I'm down for that.

Carmelo Anthony wants to be traded?

Just curious, are you guys glad to see him go? He just seemed like the scapegoat to me. -

Aaand we're back to where we were at the beginning of the day. Except Orlando is a whole lot angrier. -

Aldridge says Orlando is giving Dwight (and Fegan) until the end of the day to give confirmation in writing. -
Howard Picks up 2012/13 Option, Staying with Magic

Whatever truly happened, maybe you should look around before you criticize someone for "trying to get his name up." At least three other reporters had the same report. Regardless of what Dwight said, different sources had conflicting reports, probably because of a misunderstanding. Not Alex's fault. We still don't know whether Dwight told the front office that he isn't opting out. Woj isn't always correct either. -

I'm just waiting... Woj said he indicated he's all in for the rest of this season, and others are saying it's next season too. And then there's the confirmation in writing, which Fegan has to sign as well. A little over 22 hours... -
Carmelo Anthony wants to be traded?

Well, I guess he's staying. -
I began watching basketball in the 2003-04 season, so here's what I've seen. Nets sweeping the Knicks in the first round of the 2004 playoffs (they almost beat Detroit, which would've taken them to a third consecutive ECF). Vince Carter and company completing their charge to the eighth seed and a 42-40 record on the final day of the 2004-05 season. The 2005-06 Nets going on fourteen-game and ten-game win streaks in a 49-win season. In December of 2006, the Nets and the Suns playing a legendary double-overtime classic with Kidd and Nash stealing the show (Nets lost by four). Vince Carter going back to Toronto in 2007 for a playoff series against Toronto (Nets were sixth seed and won in six games). There was little to remember after that until the D-Will trade, which was one of the craziest moments I've experienced as a fan.

Woj: Howard Determined to Join Nets Either Now or in July
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
I will say, it's a very tough thing to get over, for both the team and the fans. Whatever happens, it's not easy to recover from losing this big a superstar. It's a risky move, but they're just looking for any indication in the next two days that he would consider staying. -
It's hard to coach a team to a win with ten healthy guys. But here's a problem, AJ... you gave Petro more minutes than Shelden.

Avery letting Petro and Gaines screw up the game. What else is new? Moron.
-
Humphries has 21 and 10 at halftime.

..... How does this change anything? So because they aren't capable of understanding Islam (much like you guys aren't capable of understanding the point I repeatedly stress), Islam is at fault? Islam doesn't condone mistreating women. It doesn't condone taking innocent lives. It doesn't condone forcing people into the religion. Yet, Islam is the problem? I wouldn't call them, "fake Muslims," but yes, the number is probably astounding. Islam isn't the problem, though.

Let me explain this to you for the thirtieth time, but this time through an analogy, because otherwise you're going to fail miserably in comprehending it like all the other times I've tried. The pen is invented. The pen is used for its intended function over an extended period of time, being continuously manufactured and distributed and used properly. Suddenly, a group of corrupt individuals either a) discover the pen and decide to use it as a weapon or b) want to do damage and come across the pen as a way of fulfilling that will. Whether it's the first or the second circumstance, is that really the inventor's fault? True Islam has nothing, NOTHING, to do with the morons that are causing havoc in the world. It's not extremism. It's stupidity.
