Avery... what on earth are you doing? We didn't appear to be running ANY plays during that 8-0 run. Brooks has been on fire and suddenly we're not setting him up for shots. AND WE'RE STILL RUNNING ISOS WITH HUMP. WOW.

If by Linsanity, you mean the hype around the whole story, that was bound to happen unless he kept putting up 30-point performances. If you mean his actual performances, D-Will out-shined him in the second Nets-Knicks match-up (although he still played well), and then Miami, if I remember correctly, was the first game where both he struggled and the Knicks lost.

There's no doubt that he has been limited with his resources. It's probably not a good idea to fire him anyway, just for the sake of keeping D-Will happy.

The team's talent level is what is keeping his job secure, but there is still no excuse for the team playing this poorly. He seems to insist on running isos with Hump when Kris continuously fails at it. Stevenson and Petro are playing way too many minutes for what they are offering us. Morrow is essentially a one-dimensional player with a killer shot, but we refuse to set him up for open looks and instead put the ball in his hands, expecting him to do something. There is no excuse for some of what has been shown this season. Oh, and we haven't even begun talking about the worst defense in recent history.

Avery's job seems as secure as can be right now. Apparently, Deron is very happy with him. But almost the entire fanbase is in agreement that he is doing nothing short of a terrible job.

He's doing what he can, when you consider how unacceptable the support has been from the rest of the team, and when you consider how ridiculous Avery has been the whole year. Deron has been fulfilling his role as a point guard, except our offense was a complete mess today.

To the people who think Deron Williams is a fake superstar: this game is your answer.

Okay. Regardless, if Dwight reaches free agency without being dealt, Brooklyn is by far the best option for him.

Whatever it is, he certainly doesn't appear to be injury prone. Sure, there is a level of doubt, but if Dwight is still giving Orlando the indication that he would only re-sign with Jersey, and Orlando no longer feels they have a shot at keeping him, then other than maybe Atlanta (and maybe Chicago, because I'm surprised we haven't heard anything about the Bulls yet), Otis Smith doesn't exactly have a great deal of options, now that this has been delayed so much. If Dwight is still in a Magic uniform past March 15, that's an entirely different story and scenario. But if Orlando doesn't trade with the Nets, I don't see it coming as a result of a three-week injury that's simply a sprained ankle.
