  1. Relax, this was more our interior D than Deron.
  2. Unbelievable. Lin's a smart player. He exposed our interior defense and ripped it apart. We just let him keep the ball on the floor, and he took total advantage of our confusion on the inside. We kept Melo and Amar'e in check, and we lost the game because we let him run around the court freely. And WAY. TOO. MANY. CONTINUATIONS. Avery, I beg of you, please stop playing Petro. I feel like I'm boiling over with frustration more and more every time I see this guy step on the floor. Maybe it's a good thing the Super Bowl is tomorrow so that ESPN doesn't turn SportsCenter into a Lin party.
  3. Err... Gaines simply isn't what he was last season. Time for D-Will to re-enter.
  4. Extra E is familiar with this building. Liking what I'm seeing from just about everyone.
  5. Not sure how credible this is, considering 1) that first paragraph being completely wrong and 2) the writer.
  6. Does D'Antoni lose his job if the Nets win this one?

  8. Ken Berger says not to count out L.A. for Dwight: Ken Berger
  9. A lot depends on Brook Lopez's recovery schedule. He began running a few days ago. If he returns in the second half of this month as expected, he could have two to three weeks to possibly send his trade value back uphill. The general offer (I think) would be centered around Lopez, Brooks, and draft picks. That provides Orlando with cap relief as well. Then if Orlando wants another player from another team, Billy has worked a number of multi-team deals. If Dwight hits free agency, I don't see the final destination being anywhere but Brooklyn, the main reason being that we'd have at least one first round pick (two if Houston makes the playoffs) in an excellent draft, and we hold on to Brooks (and hopefully Lopez as well).
  10. Tough loss, sloppy ending. D-Will had a bad game, but hopefully that pushes him to have a great one at MSG tomorrow. Morrow. WOW. Career-high 42 points, career-high eight threes (on just 11 attempts). He joins Dwight, Kobe, and LeBron as the only players thus far this season to have dropped 40+. He also completed his third four-point play of the season. We let Pekovic have a career night. He's a solid player off the bench, but we just neglected to attend to him, and he gave Minnesota a load of help on the interior. He basically did to us what Humphries tends to do to other teams. Nets when Petro steps onto the court: 4-15. Nets when Petro does not play: 4-1.
  11. Orlando Sentinel Elsewhere, Larry Coon reported a couple days ago that Dwight's camp warned L.A. that he would test free agency if traded there. Coon also reported that the Nets may be the only team that has been assured by Dwight's representatives that he would stay if traded there. Here's a recent report from Alex Kennedy: Alex Kennedy

  14. I'm just thrilled to see some of these guys keeping things in check while we're short on talent. As for Dwight, I'm as confident as ever.
  15. Deron Williams is good at basketball.
  16. We're 2.5 games out with a beat up roster. Morrow, Brooks, and Humphries have all been bright spots for a good amount of the season. And I still have my hopes up that Shawne will get somewhat back on track. Not to mention, J-Will is earning his playing time and making great use of it.
  17. The last few games have said otherwise. The situation now is much better than the situations three weeks ago.
  18. Justin, what ever happened to this font?
  19. Considering the circumstances, not bad at all. Extra E is having his best game of the season, and J-Will is playing very, very well. Balanced scoring down the box score.
  20. Available players today: D-Will, Farmar, Gaines, Bogans, Shawne, J-Will, Shelden, Humphries.
  21. Sent from my HTC on the Now Network from Sprint.
  22. Incredible showings by Deron and Ammo. So much sloppiness from most of the remaining roster, though. Petro looked more lost than ever. Shelden had an uncharacteristic game. Shawne's shot is still not consistently falling down. Refs really threw us off in this game. First, the idiotic technical foul on Shawne when he attempted to throw the ball off Dahntay Jones to retain possession. Later, they blew the whistle because of a shot clock issue right as Morrow was going in for an open layup.
