  2. You proved me wrong on an insignificant piece of information relating to, supposedly, your team. Meanwhile, you've been outdone in every serious argument, whether or not you were trying to get under someone's skin. You and Diesel have a lot in common.
  3. What do the Red Sox even have to do with this topic?
  4. Wasn't a serious question, but Lackey was 41 with the Angels. You might want to be a little more observant with your Google searches.
  5. No way! You know their names! Don't tell me you also know their jersey numbers. :o

  7. Sightlines are the main issue. The Nets spent some money to conduct a "Hockey Sightline Study." If they can make some adjustments with that, it might not be such a bad option to switch to a lower capacity arena, considering the location and the option to play in a $950 million venue.
  8. After their proposal to build a new arena got voted down, it seems like Nassau and Barclays are the only two options. The seating capacity would only be about 14,000, but it may be worth it. It turns out that US Airways Center was also designed by Ellerbe Beckett. They designed Conseco Fieldhouse as well, which has a bowl similar to that of the Barclays Center. Conseco is home for a minor-league hockey team and has an unusual layout for its hockey games. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/704455/conseco-hockey.gif
  9. Same here. I was leaning toward the Isles for some time, and when the Islanders to Brooklyn rumors arose, I decided they would be my team. I'm not quite sure how to familiarize myself with the game, haha. I just sort of absorbed baseball and basketball when I was young, and football was just always there and easy to follow.
  10. Wow. That joins Chien-Ming Wang on the basepaths and Kendrys Morales celebrating the walkoff as crushing injuries. Hopefully, it doesn't cause trouble for him in the long run.
  11. Sorry about your Phils, Chris. I am anti-Philly, but I can't imagine how it feels to see your player go down as the season ends. If anyone needs any further confirmation about baseball's postseason blowing any other sport's out of the water, both number one seeds are out.
  12. Axford should've contacted Mo about pitching to the D'Backs in postseason elimination games.
  13. Last two outings have been on two days rest. If anyone on the team could do it, it's him, but it's been rough.
  14. Girardi pulls Nova after two. Either he's hurt, or Girardi is uncomfortable with him out there. Hughes with a great first inning.
  15. 31 pitches through two. Hopefully Nova is settling in, Garcia-style.
  16. WOW. Incredible story. God is great.
  17. Wow, so the Rays lost all five home postseason games between 2010 and 2011, all against Texas.
  18. Definitely. But a baseball team cannot sit back and expect to see wins once they've spent big dollars. The Yankees have brought up and utilized incredible talent that they developed in their farm system. They've dealt some great prospects to land big names. They've made players like Swisher and Granderson much better ball players. I'm sure the same applies to any other team. And the fact that there are several teams putting revenue back into play makes the wall higher for any single team to walk to a championship.
  19. You're telling me that the Red Sox experienced pitching issues because they were short on money? Newsflash: your payroll doesn't represent how much money you have to spend. So by your logic, it's pathetic for a team that spends more money to fall to a team that spends less. Since you're representing the Sox, are they a pathetic team for losing to the Rays in the 2008 ALCS? What about missing the playoffs in 2010? How about their collapse in 2011 to the Rays, missing the playoffs once again? Here's a lesson that it seems you never picked up: baseball goes far beyond spending. You don't buy championships. The Yankees haven't bought championships. Baseball's winners aren't all about who spends the most. The Yankees are down 2-1 the series and lost the two games by a total of three runs. I guess to you, that means not being able to compete. I guess I took it for granted that you follow baseball outside of October. Sorry about that.
