Loved Tommy Lee Jones in this. Lincoln's taking every opportunity to tell a story was annoying as far as keeping the plot moving, but, at the same time, pretty funny.

I obviously don't follow the Lakers very closely, but the fact that Jim Buss ever moved toward a cost-cutting route is a bit ridiculous, no? Not sure what Laker fans thought of Mike Brown last year, but he wouldn't have even been coaching this team for the preseason and first few regular season games if they hadn't made the decision to select him in the first place. After that, the selection of D'Antoni for this personnel? Eh. Even taking into consideration his reunion with Nash, he's probably not the coach you should have in mind when all eyes are on you to get back to winning ways and quickly. Might have been best to avoid a coach that has been accused of being stubborn with the system he has always had in place.

Evans has been playing pretty badly as of late. Sucks that Humphries got hurt at the end of one of his few great games this season.

I thank the Lord for what has happened to this team since P.J. took over. Lopez absolutely tearing it up. Deron looking much more like Deron. Tyshawn Taylor getting some burn. Brooks being given sufficient playing time and not getting yanked after one mistake. Teletovic seeing meaningful minutes and playing with the first and second units. Even if this hot streak dies out, no one can convince me that Avery didn't get a fair chance.

Deron better get it together. Many things may turn in the right direction under the right coach, but he's playing like garbage in many ways outside of the offensive system he's had.

I suppose you could make the argument that he deserved a full season with this team, but the reality was it wasn't just that the team was losing games; it seemed that almost the entire team was playing uninspired basketball. I was growing extremely frustrated with him, but it made me sad reading the press conference transcript. Hope he gets a great coaching job soon. Any allegation that Deron pushed out Avery is baseless, but it is possible that his quote about the offense a couple weeks ago may have woken up Prokhorov and Razumov. So it's time for Deron to stop the garbage and start being a leader and playing like a star.
