  1. Billy King said on 1050 ESPN that he's looking at SF's. Gerald. Wallace.
  2. Brooks, Wallace, Miller/Przybilla, Gallinari/Mozgov, and Thornton have all been mentioned as targets for the Nets. They seem to be exploring all their options, because some deals look less likely than others.
  3. It looks like Harris is on his way out before the deadline for sure. If Jersey doesn't deal Troy to Golden State, Murphy could be sent alongside Devin in a trade. Harris, Murphy, and picks are all that have been mentioned.

  5. To be honest, I've never been in favor of the idea.
  6. You just stated the trade from the perspective of Dallas, which is irrelevant if you're talking about New Jersey not knowing how to trade. From Jersey's perspective, the PG fit the system and the draft picks were meaningful. We shouldn't even be debating this since your original statement and example both made no sense.
  7. The chances of that happening would be dependent on the salary cap adjustment in the new CBA, I believe. After seeing this whole thing with Melo, though, it's crazy to think what lies ahead of us.
  8. I wonder how Durant would have done if he didn't adjust his shooting form and shot comfortably. Time might have expired before he finished, but he probably would have knocked down more shots. It's a shame Gibson was cold, though. Would have been nice for him to win the competition through this tough season for Cleveland.
  9. Blake jumping over the highest part of the car would have been great, but if there were any accidents, Kenny would need to have a nice explanation ready for the Clippers' FO. Incredible contest, though. I loved the idea of each player having a coach, with three of them pumping up the crowd as their players went. What made this contest great is that there was a fair mix of entertaining dunks both with and without props.
  10. I asked for you to elaborate, and you responded with one example, a pretty bad one at that. It's easy for you to call it a bad deal now because Kidd is playing for a contender that needs him. Harris, meanwhile, looks like he has little value since the Nets have had him in trade talks for a good part of the season, either to Portland or Denver. Why? Because the Nets are trying to take advantage of every opportunity to bring over a superstar. Shortly after Harris arrived in Jersey, Kiki Vandeweghe was being praised for his amazing work, and rightfully so. There were "Thank You Cuban" chants when Dallas came to Jersey. Devin made the All-Star team in 08-09 and deserved to be a starter. Two years later, there have been quite a few injuries along the way, but he's still been a major part of the team. Jersey also received two draft picks that gave them Anderson and, ultimately, Damion James.
  11. http://i855.photobucket.com/albums/ab112/PSUmtj112/Melo.jpg?t=1298176466 At least the meeting went well.
  12. "Hey, Carmelo, how's the weather today?" "I don't know. I mean, I can't really answer that question."
  13. Please elaborate. I can't wait to read why you think that.
  14. Awkward moment during Wall's interview when Sager talked about how Cousins isn't happy when his teammates don't give him the ball.
  15. Did Common pick up any basketball skills from Just Wright?
  16. I like that they have five contestants this year. The Skills Challenge is consistently a success on All-Star Saturday Night, so it's a good idea to extend its length.
  17. This is brilliant. This was on the "Ask the Announcers" segment during yesterday's Nets game and on SportsNation.

  19. Incredible bounce-back performance after the rough start to the game. The start to the second half was nothing short of amazing. We hit our first seven field goals. Boston has tied it up. This is taking on a somewhat similar course to the last time we were in Boston. We have to avoid the turnovers.
  20. Damion James seems near ready to return after he broke his foot back in December. There was a chance he would play tonight against Boston, but it looks like he's headed to the Springfield Armor to play some D-League ball and return after the All-Star break. Avery said he would be the starting SF, meaning Outlaw is sixth man, the role he had in Portland. I'm hoping this will set Outlaw's season on the right track, because it's been an ugly season for him, and it seems no one is willing to trade for his 5-year, $35M contract. Avery has said that Jersey is only focusing on talks to deal Murphy. Other teams seem to be holding off on trading for him, hoping the Nets are forced to buy him out so that pieces don't have to be given up in order to get him. Not too long ago, Woj and Al Iannazzone reported that talks between the Nets and Nuggets have been renewed. It's unclear whether this is a leak by Jersey to force New York to offer more pieces. Woj says they could be talking about a smaller package involving Favors and picks.
  21. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/180109_1420896342025_1821195812_804370_980373_n.jpg I just realized that most of my pictures from the last couple of games I've attended are of the court during pre-game and at tipoff. I'll try to keep variety in mind next time. Various thoughts on the game: You can tell just by the way Anthony Randolph walks around during shootaround that he's waiting to leave. I got a good laugh out of watching him for a couple minutes. The Knicks were setting up their shooters the whole game. Screens were being set some times, and the ball would just be swung around to an open man other times. They had a ridiculous amount of open looks and knocked down their 3's. I would love to see us set up Morrow more than once or twice in a game. He knocked down both of his shot attempts from downtown, yet we have Petro taking at least one jumpshot a game and Outlaw frequently forcing shots. It's unacceptable. Lopez was not given the ball enough. He was doing a nice job in the post nearly every time he touched the ball. We didn't take advantage of limited interior defense when we could have. Knicks fans absolutely flooded The Rock. They were creating their own defense chants when we had ball, and the boos when Jersey was at the stripe in the final minutes created an away game atmosphere. Nets fans, meanwhile, really need to work on the enthusiasm level. There are hardly enough to begin with, but it seems like very few people get into the game until we have the lead. Despite the disappointing ending, this was probably the most lively game I've been to this year. The Nets rallies kept things interesting, along with the mix of Nets and Knicks fans in our first sellout at the Pru.
  22. I read that it's 15 pounds of muscle.
  23. Big game for the former Lakers. Farmar had 11 assists off the bench, and Vujacic put up a career-high 25. We had a nice rally near the end of regulation to overcome a five-point deficit in the final 1:19. There was some trouble sealing the game in OT, which is something we really need to improve. Frustrating game for Paul. He took a shot that rimmed out near the end of regulation, and an even closer shot at the buzzer in OT.
