  1. Al Iannazzone Uzoh put up an impressive performance on Tuesday, creating some high-percentage shots for himself. Farmar's been a consistent shooter for us, and playing him alongside Harris should be nothing new. Hopes are high that Vujacic gives us a boost with shooting as well.
  2. Jersey has lost eight straight, and the Wizards are still looking for their first road win. No Wall or Yi, and limited minutes, if any, for Blatche. We don't have Morrow for 2-3 weeks, which means Farmar gets the start, and increased playing time for Uzoh and Vujacic.
  3. In terms of acquiring a starter, the Yankees have been looking at a bunch of low-risk-high-reward players, including Braden Looper and Fausto Carmona. Smart approach to take, when you have a range of these guys to select from during Spring Training and the season. Boston did a similar thing with their bullpen after they couldn't sign Teixeira, and it was, for the most part, successful.
  4. I guess they are trying to work a name out with "Brooklyn" rather than "New York" if the Nets are the one behind this. I really think we should have New York as our location name.
  5. Maybe it's bringing over potential pieces for a trade to bring over Carmelo...
  6. Yeah, so I remembered to put Sheridan's name in the title for a specific reason. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/505016/SheridanTweet-tz-290_medium.jpg Fanhouse
  7. This is basically why I was scared out of my mind when the Montero and two other prospects for Lee discussions heated up in July.
  8. http://www.sporcle.com/games/TheLegendaryBro/2010NYY I had three names to go with 2:00 left and couldn't think of them. Turned out to be Thin White CC, Golson, and Albaladejo.
  9. His ugly extended slump seemed to start around the same time that he was started more frequently. He's only 24, I say it's worth another shot. You could argue that he even had a better season offensively than Martin. In terms of being a backup catcher, having Cervelli is not such a bad thing, defensively speaking. If we get Martin on a smart, one-year deal, I suppose it's a good idea. But I don't think it's worth trying to outbid Boston for him.
  10. I've heard as much as that they are taking an aggressive approach with him. Not sure how much I like the idea. We don't have to find a way to spend for this to be a successful offseason. I have been saying again and again that Cervy deserves another chance.
  11. Turns out mystery team #3 isn't the Angels. @Ken_Rosenthal Reportedly, they are not willing to offer more than four or five years.
  12. We've been missing our open threes, L.A.'s making theirs. There have been chances to knot this game up... Jersey has cut the deficit to three and four on separate occasions.
  13. 23 points, 14 rebounds (9 offensive boards), 5 steals, and 4 assists for Wallace. Interesting that he put up a career-high of 23 points at 36 years old. Just shows you how well recognized Big Ben's defense was in his four all-star selections.
  14. Wow, 15 in the first and second each, 16 in the third and fourth for Charlotte. Quiet games for Augustin and Wallace.
  15. http://oi55.tinypic.com/x6loi.jpg Not a whole lot to take out of Williams' performance on Thursday. In your typical box score, his stats would probably get little attention, but since it was his return from the D-League and with poor performances from a good part of the team by halftime, his efforts on the court received some recognition. His second half, though, was quiet. Still had some flaws in his taking care of the ball, but his court vision impresses me nonetheless.
  16. In the deal that had supposedly been sealed that had Melo going to the Nets, Charlotte was reportedly giving up Diaw and Augustin at one point. I suppose those two could be considered as pieces if the Bobcats were in a direct deal with Denver where they were getting Anthony.
  17. First time I'm seeing the Lakeshow in person! As if the Pru doesn't already have enough advantages over the Meadowlands, I love being able to host Sunday afternoon games that we could not have at the IC because of the Jets and Giants home games.
  18. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/502296/BARCLAYS.JPG Arena floor planned to be 25 feet below street level.
  19. It feels like it's been a while since the last game with all the recent action... the hype about Johnson returning to Dallas, James starting, T-Will returning, and Melo rumors making their return. I feel like a few of our recent losses have been more mental than physical, since after one tough workout or early morning shootaround, the offense has looked much more alive. Hopefully, there's another mental boost tonight with the adjustments to the squad.
  20. Al Iannazzone As I said last game, Avery needs to make another adjustment, this time to incorporate both James and the returning Terrence Williams. Whether this change does means James or someone else (possibly Murphy), we'll see. Speaking of adjustment, Johnson hinted at Favors possibly starting in the near future. Al Iannazzone
