  1. John Wall may take a couple seasons to reach that ceiling. LeBron's probably not interested in the chances of having to wait a couple of seasons.
  2. Devin Harris + 1st round pick is probably more than enough needed to trade for the first overall. Would the Nets do it? Probably not, I think they like the idea of Wall and Harris together. I don't think it's a necessary move either, to be honest. If we were to pick Cousins, I think we're big-time winners. Thorn's working on the coach search, and Prokhorov is ready to throw an impressive offer. We can still have an impressive setup for FA's.
  3. How about the idea of the seventeenth seed (with the two conferences placed collectively in the standings) getting getting the 25% chance, and the order works its way down to the 30th seed before going back to the sixteenth seed? That could prevent tanking.
  4. On draft lottery night, there's been much more than just the draft lottery for Prokhorov. He sent out this video message, is reportedly working out a 2-year extension with Thorn, attended a lunch hosted by Jay-Z, visited the Nets practice facility, and might show up at Yankee Stadium tomorrow night.
  5. Every time I look at your username, I see Waldo's World for a split second. Welcome to OTR, hope you stick around. We had great offseason discussion last year, and this year should be even better with all the hype.
  6. I'm not much of a Jim Rome fan to begin with, and when she tries to imitate him, it doesn't help.
  7. Mason, actually. Sorry I ruined your potential five seconds of fame.
  8. It's hard to throw trades from the last couple of years into the mix since they all shared a similar purpose. But outside of those, Billups to Denver didn't go so well for Detroit. It may have not been the worst, but it seemed to be apart of Detroit's major downfall. I'm one step ahead of you, Smelly Neal. http://i42.tinypic.com/o920jo.jpg
  9. Typo. :o Lee (and T-Will) really picked it up around February or March, which was about the same time at which the Nets started showing better signs. His shooting was on fire from behind the arc for a couple weeks and he had a couple 25+ point games in the same period of time. Courtney Lee also seemed to be a big help for Terrence in terms of T-Will having someone on his own team as a good example of how to turn around a rough season. I like the idea of Lee as a sixth man if we draft Wall and keep Harris, so he can really continue to be a big part of the team. What both sides received may have not necessarily matched, but we know what Jersey's main purpose was in making the move, and I think it's still helping us.
  10. Key words: so far. The Thunder didn't become this impressive right away, did they? Also, read this.
  11. When you say the Nets were tanking, do you think it was the players or the coach and front office that put everything into play?
  12. We've had gameday threads and a couple of great draft threads for football, so I'd say yes there. The baseball forum already has quite a few team threads, so I think it would be pretty neat if we just create an AL forum and an NL forum, and we'll have 30 team threads in the two forums. I don't watch hockey, so I shouldn't be saying no when there are members who do follow it. Creating these forums can be another reason for a member to make the decision to join.
  13. Talk about déjà vu. The Orioles scored early in the game with runners on first and second with a bunt ground ball that turned into a throwing error to first. The Yankees scored their tying run with runners on first and second with a bunt ground ball that turned into a throwing error to first. The Orioles error brought flashbacks of Brian Roberts' injury when he reached into the baseline on a fielded bunt in an O's-Yankees game years back. Francisco Cervelli is having another absolutely incredible night.
  14. It's been a while since we put up this good of a record in April. We won six of seven series, and a lot has been going our way. Hopefully, our bullpen becomes reliable, Vazquez gets back on track, and we don't get caught in health problems. Girardi estimates Granderson will be out for a month. Melancon got called up.
  15. It's disappointing that T-Will didn't even get one vote after winning Rookie of the Month in April.

  17. I guess the new YouTube doesn't have ratings. But thanks to you and Harman for throwing in a lot of comments.
  18. Thanks to everyone who noticed that we have reached 1000 videos. Now for the other 442 members, you can see that we have reached 1000 videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CspGO41U03I As you can see, it's a pretty disappointing video with the graphics. YouTube ruining the timing of the sound with the visuals as the video went on didn't help either. But it's still something for subscribers who don't know what OTR is to see. I'd appreciate it if you all throw in some comments and ratings to get this some attention.
  19. Yeah, I'm just desperate. Even worse, Reyes and Wright are a combined 1-12 and not helping my fantasy team's average. But you never know, they could pick up their hitting by the 30th inning.
  20. I benched Ricky Nolasco since he had a rough start to his season and I figured the Phillies would destroy his ERA. Instead, he goes the distance allowing one run. Also, I'm on the verge of making a trade with my friend that will bring me Ubaldo Jimenez. I've been trying to make this trade for days now. He was going to accept it today. I'm hoping he doesn't notice the no-hitter before clicking accept.
  21. We have the Tampa Bay-Boston game being continued from yesterday that is tied at 1 in the tenth inning and the Mets-St. Louis game that is scoreless in the eleventh inning.
