Videos of Key NBA History Moments
Teletopez replied to Teletopez's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
A playlist on YouTube, sorry for not specifying. For example, the channel has a... Nike Signature Moves Playlist Where Will Amazing Happen Commercials Playlist Top Tens of 08-09 Playlist -
I'm uploading a video of Kobe's game-winner against Phoenix a couple years back, courtesy of Lkr. So I thought of making a new playlist with videos of memorable plays from past years on the OTR YT. 1) Any name ideas? I'm thinking the OTR Vault. 2) If anyone here has videos of key moments in NBA history and would like to have them uploaded in this playlist, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I called Terrence Williams before the game, and the dude told me he's tired of people disrespecting him for taking 8 3's a game, and he's tired of losing in New Jersey, and that he was going to attempt to drive to the basket and dunk like Rudy Gay tonight: good amount of entertainment. He's good at keeping his word! Most enjoyable game we've played all year. Kris Humphries had a couple of big slams, as did T-Will in the final quarter. Dooling did an amazing job controlling the floor, and Chris Quinn did a great job in his 12 minutes. T-Will realized how good he is when he makes better decisions. Then again, the whole team did. First win against a Western Conference team this year, and we did it without Courtney Lee and Devin Harris. This team is definitely not the worst of all time, it just doesn't play as well as it can every game.

New career-high for Kris Humphries! Big slam by Kris Humphries! Strong throwdown by T-Will! All 14 fans are on their feet! I've been waiting to see T-Will's highflying dunk all year. It finally happened.

Nets believe they're out of the running for Lebron, Wade
Teletopez replied to Dash's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
It makes more sense for us to stay quiet this trade deadline, work out a deal for the Prudential Center, break ground in Brooklyn, and have more of our youngsters impress in the second half of the season instead of letting this whole season be a disaster in every way. If we trade a couple youngsters and a draft pick for a 2010 FA and lose him in the offseason, it's quite a waste. -

You have to wonder how things would have played out had Damon had an agent not named Scott Boras. The Yankees now have a veteran in Randy Winn along with Jamie Hoffman to try out in LF. Great signing. We didn't require more money than what Steinbrenner gave Cashman while signing a veteran OF. The Yankees are still interested in a RH OF, so they could still be after Baldelli.

I've been here for two of the five years. I remember joining and not knowing what a message board was. I also remember spending the first couple weeks in the arcade. It took me a while to realize that OTR wasn't such a ridiculously complicated website with a ridiculously large community. I have registered at several other message boards, but I haven't been able to actively post anywhere for more than a week except here. Being here for some time, you start taking for granted Brandon's dedication to the forums. As much as it's mentioned, you don't realize what it means before seeing that this community has been cruising for five years. You would never guess that this message board was hacked seven months ago. By the way, OTR reached 500 subscribers on YouTube a couple days before the fifth anniversary.

Ah, yeah, you're probably right, though I remember at one point or another the requirement was just 8,000 posts.
-
Actually, I think the last set of rules for the dedicated jerseys was just 8,000 posts. The reason it was just post count was because anyone who attempted post-padding their way to the 8,000 would have likely have had his or her post count lowered along the road.

This topic can get out of hand, and it's a bit of an unfair generalization. Closed for now, may be re-opened later if admins think the topic is fine.

I really didn't want him last year, and I'm not too big on getting him this year. Health is not a guarantee, a positive attitude is not a guarantee, and we would probably end up giving Phoenix a bit more than what's reasonable to get him. I've read that the Nets have probably already talked to his agent about a signing in the summer, so if he stays in Phoenix for the remainder of the season, the Nets can get him without giving up any key pieces. Having him could be a great success, or it could cause some problems with Lopez and Amar'e having to work well together. A lot of factors play in, and if we do end up getting him, I hope everything works out as planned.

I don't think a prediction with much support can be made for our remaining 39 games. It depends on how long it takes us to learn to use the clock wisely, do more than settle for jumpers, stop with weak hacks, put bodies on our opponents, among other things.

In this losing streak, we have lost by an average of 18.7 points. I'm tired of explaining what we did wrong loss after loss. Before, I was at least able to compliment some parts of the team's game for showing good signs. But we're just getting blown out now, and it's usually a combination of absent defense and absent offense. Yes, there have been some things to be happy with from individuals, but that's been the case since day one. What the team needs to show is playing well as a team. I think we've played encouragingly well as a team in maybe 15 games this season. I hardly feel in the mood to discuss basketball in general at this point.

That was a nice lob pass by Miller on the inbounds, but Boston's defense played it really well.

The budget is still preventing us from offering more, and Boras has the same asking price. There don't seem to be many other teams giving him offers, so I expect him to lower the asking price eventually. Kevin Long has already started working with Granderson this offseason, so we'll see what improvements there are in his hitting in a couple months, but Granderson did not have the same numbers against lefty pitchers that Matsui and Damon did, so that is one reason we shouldn't rule out the idea of re-signing Johnny.

The Yankees avoided arbitration and agreed to 1-year deals with Gaudin and Logan. Boston has reportedly agreed to a 1-year $9.35M deal with Papelbon.

It's not that Frank was a bad coach. That's actually partially incorrect. He was doing a great job coaching our defense. Now, we have no defense. The best example of that is that we've faced the Pacers three times this year, and we still don't know that weak hacks won't stop Hibbert.
