  1. We've gone 19 straight games without outrebounding our opponent. The record is 20. Dave D'Alessandro
  2. Yi is a revelation, the first player all season that has bothered to take the ball from the perimeter to the basket multiple times in a game. It seemed like something impossible for the rest of the team. I don't know whether it was his work this offseason or Del Harris, but Rod Thorn's patience with him seems to be paying off.
  3. CD-R could be coming back tomorrow. If he does, we'll be the closest to healthy that we've been all season.

  6. Third straight game for Durant with 30 points. Krstic put up a double-double, and Westbrook had a big game as well.
  7. Utah shot 52% from the field and held Philly to 34%. Deron Williams was 10-14. The Jazz blew the game open in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Sixers 25-12.
  8. We've had a variety of problems in our losses, but I'd say the most consistent one has been getting out-rebounded. The Nets allow way too many shots at second-chance points, and that's what made the difference against the T'Wolves and last night. Houston had 16 offensive boards, and they had a 51-39 advantage over us off the glass. We displayed a lot more fight in this game, though. Our offense and defense were both present in the second half. Tomorrow could be an interesting game against OKC.
  9. I just came back from seeing it in IMAX in the city today. Incredible movie. As long as it was, I never felt like the plot was being dragged on.
  10. We aren't only the worst team in the NBA, we're the dumbest. Why the hell do you throw away the whole damn game by taking your time up the court and wasting 13 of the 16 seconds you have to make up a 4-point deficit? We don't even call one of our TWO timeouts. It's pathetic. We don't get defensive rebounds, we've been out-rebounded in 16 straight contests. The team makes some of the most careless plays. We even let Flynn steal the ball on a 5-on-3. We also took low-percentage shots rather than driving when Minnesota was on an 8-0 run. The team's youth has absolutely nothing to do with the way we're playing.
  11. Lopez has 5 assists in the first five minutes! That give-and-go has given us some easy baskets, but we're playing a bit sloppy on the defensive end.
  12. I don't see why Melky shouldn't start. He's a great player and he still has room to improve. ESPNDeportes.com is reporting that the Angels have agreed to a 2-year, $11M deal with Fernando Rodney.
  13. Dallas is 9-29 from the field, and Portland is 7-25. Portland led 18-14 after the first. Nowitzki is having a good game, but everyone else seems cold.
  14. We should have Yi back tomorrow, finally. I'm looking forward to seeing him play after he impressed in October. Del Harris could also help in Yi's improvement, since he coached Yi in the 2004 Olympics and supported him in the 2007 draft.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqnWhZIZaSo It seems like James always finds a way to humiliate J-Rich.
  16. I actually originally thought we made the trade with Chicago because I didn't know about Logan and Vazquez going elsewhere, haha. I really like the move, though. Our rotation looks great with Sabathia, Burnett, Pettitte, and Vazquez confirmed. We can move either Joba or Hughes back to the 'pen now. Boone Logan is also a nice addition to our bullpen. If I'm not mistaken, he throws hard because I remember almost every White Sox reliever threw heat. It's a shame that we won't have the strong corner outfielder in Melky that we anticipated. Still, we can go after Nady for a cheap price. We might even start talking with Damon again.
  17. Indiana could not have been more fortunate with all the missed free throws by the Bucks, including the final four ones that would have sealed the game. Ford should not have attempted that 3, the ball should have been in Murphy's hands. The Pacers should have also saved that timeout with 19 seconds left, which would have been useful with four seconds left. Then again, it's easy to say that after seeing Milwaukee miss all four key FT's.
  18. Very low scoring game. Dunleavy is 1-12 from the field, and Milwaukee is 3-11 from the stripe.
  19. Denver wasn't impressive on 3rd down conversions, and Orton had a mediocre game. I still don't understand how Denver finds a way to lose this game at this point in the season.
  20. I don't know why Cleveland chose not to foul and let Dallas take 20 seconds off the clock before Terry sealed the game.
  21. The Cavs are great, no doubt. I said their defense isn't so great on paper. I haven't watched them enough to tell how good their defense really is.
  22. Nowitzki isn't playing tonight, big break for the Cleveland defense that hasn't been so great on paper this year.
  23. Hopefully, CDR is okay. He just came off a knee injury. It's a good sign that he got back up quickly. Once again, we gave an elite team a scare, and then they slipped away. It's happened against Boston, Cleveland, Denver, and Orlando. We've always struggled to hang in there.
