We haven't scored this much in the first half in a long time, and we're still facing one of the season's worst blowouts. Dallas is shooting 81% from the field. We allowed 49 points this second quarter. I was hoping we could chip away in the final two minutes, but we only allowed the deficit to get worse.

Full Article Barrise will be coaching us against Dallas, and Kiki will take over afterwards. This all begins with Frank. Money is an issue for the Nets, and they knew that they'd be hiring someone already apart of the organization to take over. Frank, many would agree, was the best person for the job among those already on our staff. If money wasn't an issue, maybe the firing was a valid decision.

1) Lopez needs to stay out of foul trouble. 2) We need to avoid a collapse at the start of the second half.

97, 86, 82, 88, 81, 91, 99, 98, 101, 93. Those were how many points we allowed game-by-game over a 10-game span. Frank made a difference on defense. Frank also took Sean Williams future with the Nets from leaving this offseason to possibly being apart of future plans. Playing Sean Williams, or Josh Boone, along with Lopez helped Brook in never getting into foul trouble for the last couple of weeks. Considering we only had 8 guys for several games, Frank did a lot with what he had. I really don't know how much I'm liking the decision. Fred Kerber -CDR

Frank was the longest-tenured head coach in the Eastern Conference before he was fired. What changes did you want to see from him that he didn't make? There's not a whole lot of new things you can try out when you have eight or nine players on your roster. And the changes he did make were moves he tried out for the first time. He wouldn't know much about his setups until he tried them out.

They didn't wait until the team got back to Jersey. Tom Barrise is taking over tonight against L.A., but a permanent replacement will be announced eventually.

This may be the last game we play with Lawrence Frank coaching. If we're going to avoid the bad side of history, it means coming up with a big upset, whether it's L.A. or Dallas.

Yahoo Update: It's official. They didn't wait until tomorrow.

Welcome, Ankit! Stick around on the message board, there's plenty to learn and discuss.

So you got the account validation e-mail. Stick around, Damien. Along with basketball, you can discuss your Jets in the football forum.

This is only the second time in 11 games that we've allowed over 100 points, and we haven't allowed this many points since we faced Denver more than three weeks ago. No surprise, seeing that there were a ridiculous amount of uncontested shots for the Kings. Hawes, who was on fire the last time we were in Sacramento, originally got the Kings to open up the lead. Evans had no problem getting to the basket and dominating throughout. Once Udrih and Casspi came in, they joined the action right away. Our defense seemed lost throughout the contest.

The deficit's been increasing and decreasing, but we're hanging in there. Lopez had a great first half and is near another double-double. We're shooting well overall, which is a good sign. Defensive stops when necessary are probably key for us to stay in the game.

And we see once again why you have a better shot at a miracle with a short inbounds pass rather than a full-court one. No surprise that Wade came alive late. Miami was back in the game in less than two minutes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fF8AtJqwVA That wasn't the last time Carter would do something like that.

Roy Halladay Not Interested in Resigning With Blue Jays

You keep missing what I'm saying. I was talking about solving problems in our prospects, NOT filling slots. I'm not talking about signing players, I am talking about trying to get our young guys to contribute. The last two sentences of my last post were combined. I'm saying that you don't buy players. It's a mutual agreement. If we bought players, CC would have been a Yankee a week before we ended up signing him. Let me elaborate since you insist on bringing up unrealistic if's. I would rather sign a $1M deal with the Yankees than a $2M deal with the Astros. -
Having limited resources and not playing like your usual selves is one thing, but a totally sloppy performance is another. Hassell attempted a wide-open jumper that never reached the rim, and Simmons airballed one of his 3-point attempts. Boone, once again, airballed a FT (I think he's done that at least four or five times by now with us). We had 23 turnovers and were outscored 60-32 in the paint.

Boone already has 8 boards. This is the first time in a while I've seen Lopez get into early foul trouble.
-
It turns out Lopez is good for tonight. Even better, Courtney Lee is back! The Nets have ten players! Lee and Harris are both coming off the bench tonight.

Add more to that...
