If the Rockets draft the Morris twin I will have to seriously consider jumping ship not really but I don't like his game and they don't need a PF. I hope the Rockets take any of the following players 14th 1) Dontanas Motiejunas C 2) Tobias Harris SF/PF 3) Jordan Hamilton SF 4) Chris Singleton SF 5) Jimmer Ferdette PG/SG 8) Klay Thompson SG 7) Tristan Thompson PF 8) Josh Selby PG/SG 9)Bismack Biyombo PF/C 10) Kenneth Faried PF/C 23rd 1) Marshon Brooks SG 2) Justin Harper PF/C 3) Tyler Honeycutt SF/SG 4) Darius Morris PG 5) Jeremy Tyler C -

Official Houston Rockets draft thread

From my Mock Draft 14th Dontatas Montiejunas C 23rd Marshon Brooks SG I am high on both of these guys from what I have seen so far. I watch game film on players rather then Indo work outs. -
2011 Mock Draft 3.0 1. CLE- Kyrie Irving Duke PG: Irving is in most eyes the sure number one pick, however I am not sold on his game. He is a good true PG, but I am not sure he can match up athletically. Cleveland needs help everywhere and with two of the top 4 picks they can take a chance on a could be All-Star PG. Irving will step in from day one with a chance to start. This pick allows the Cavs to trade Barron Davis or move him to the 2 where he can play along side Irving. NBA Comparison: Chris Paul Terrel Brandon (Enes Kanter Jonas Valanciunas) 2. MIN-.Derrick Williams Arizona SF/PF: The Jazz have two pick in the lottery and l think they will take a big with their first and a guard with their second. Derrick Williams is believed to be the top player in the draft, Williams is a versatile player who can play both forward positions. NBA Comparison: David West Tim Thomas ( Brandon Knight Jonas Valanciunas) If Wolves don't trade for vets. 3. UTA-Enes Kanter Kentucky/Turkey C/PF: Kanter is the number one prospect on my draft board. He is a good scorer with a variety of inside moves and good touch from outside. He is also a good defender and rebounder. Kanter also has He could be a pillar for any struggling team to build around with true big men hard to come by Kanter could be a great player for years to come with the skill set he has. NBA Comparison: Al Horrford LaMarcus Aldridge (Derrick Williams Jonas Valancinunas) 4. CLE-Jonas Valanciunas Lietuvos Rytas C: Valanciunas is a good C with a well rounded game and all the tools to help a struggling team. Valancinuas is considered by most to be the most NBA ready C in the draft. The Cavs could pair Valanciunas with JJ Hickson to form a formidable Front court. NBA Comparison: Nened Kristic Jokiem Noah ( Enes Kanter Jan Vesely) 5.TOR-Brandon Knight PG/SG Kentucky: Toronto is the youngest team in the league and are in need of help everywhere. Brandon Knight is as good Combo guard who if he can hone in his PG skills could be a great PG.Knight can shoot and handle the rock. Toronto is ready to part with Calderon and Knight could step into the starting PG role. NBA Comparison: Larry Hughes Russell Westbrook (Kemba Walker Jan Vesely) 6. WAS- Kawhi Leonard San Diego State SF: Leonard is considered a defensive ace with high upside do to his athleticism. The Wizards will take Leonard with hope that he can step in and be a shut down defender for a young team. Kawhi Leonard would be a mid to late first rounder in a stronger draft class, but he will be a good role player for years to come. NBA Comparison: Gerald Wallace Shawn Marion (Tristen Thompson Jan Velely) 7. SAC- Jan Vesely KK Partizan Belgrade PF/SF Vesely is a prospect that is hard to place; I have seen him going anywhere from top 5 to mid first round. Vesely is a young athletic player who can make plays above the rim and block shots. Can play both SF and PF for the Jazz.. He has to much upside to fall out of the first round. NBA Comparison Tyrus Thomas Andrei Kirilenko (Klay Thompson Jimmer Fredette) 8. DET-Bismack Biyombo Baloncesto Fuenlabrada C/PF: The mystery mans defense and raw athleticism will land him in the lottery. Detroit is looking to land the second coming of Ben Wallace or maybe even Dennis Rodman. Joe Dumars hope to use his old recipe to get back to glory. He has alot of work to do, but Bismack could be the next piece pairing him with Greg Monroe inside. NBA Comparison: Ben Wallace Alonzo Mourning (Marcus Morris Alec Burks) 9. CHA- Kemba Walker UConn PG/SG: Kemba is a good scorer with great speed and quickness. The knock on him he is not PG but a combo guard to small to play SG, but he dosn't have PG skill set, however he is a good scorer and if he develops his PG skills he may be a great NBA player. NBA Comparison: Tim Hardaway Allen Iverson (Klay Thompson Alec Burks) 10. MIL-Alec Burks Colorado SG: One of the only true SG is this class. Burks needs work on his outside shooting. He has good size and athleticism with a good outside game not a great one. He is solid on defense and fits the needs and the Bucks system. NBA Comparison: James Harden Evan Turner (Chris Singleton Marcus Morris) 11. GS- Chris Singleton Florida State SF: The Warriors mad a val to improve their defense in the off season. Singleton a 6"9 small forward who is one of the two wing man defensive studs in this draft class could be the first step in to fulfilling that val. Singleton is a rangy athletic player whose scoring and offense is improving. If Singleton does develop offensively and you add that to his believed defensive skills he could be a shining star in this draft. NBA Comparison:Luc Richard Mbah a Moute Scottie Pippen ( Nikola Mirotic Jan Vesely) 12. UTA- Jimmer Fredette BYU PG/SG: If the Jazz take Kanter with the 3rd pick and take Fredette here at 12 I think there draft will be considered a success to of the players I think will be very good NBA players. Fredette will be a scorer/shooter off the bench early in his career, but after he develops his PG skills he has All-Star potential.(Marcus Morris Jan Vesely) NBA Comparison Gilbert Arenas Stephen Curry Mark Price 13.PHI- Marcus Morris Kansas SF/PF: The smaller of the Morris twins is trying to make it as a SF where he would have a size advantage, but his lack of premiere outside skills could be his downfall. If you play him as a PF he then becomes a tweener. He could serve as a combo forward though playing both SF and PF. NBA Comparison: Al Harrington Jonathan Bender (Chris Singleton Jimmer Fredette) 14. HOU-Donatas Motiejunas Benetton Treviso C/PF: The Rockets are in need of a star caliber C and Donatas has all the tools to be just that. With a sweet out side stroke and good low post moves he is ready to help offensively and with his athleticism, length and shot blocking potential he could help defensively. If he is available the Rockets would have a key piece to their future success. His shot has been compared to Dirk. NBA Comparison: Andrea Bargnani Danilo Gallinari Mehmet Okur (Jimmer Feddette Tobias Harris) 15. IND- Jordan Hamilton Texas SF(+) Scorer Athlete (-) Inconsistent NBA Comparison Danny Granger Stephen Jackson 16. PHI-Tristen Thompson Texas PF: (+) Strong Offensive Rebounding (-) Height Consistency NBA Comparisons Kenyon Martin Tyrus Thomas 17. Team success= your ability to make others better your will/desire to win your ability to be a team mate your ability to win(some people have it some don't) Basketball is not an individual game but a team sport where individual greatness help lift your team to greater accomplishment/accolades (NBA Titles) Greatness cannot be measured by just stats. Are you a stat junky? Madk a decision off of your beliefs and what you see with your own eyes not what some numbers say. Use your on knowledge of the game. Career Accomplishments team accomplishments character skills winning mentality stats ect.

Lebron is not a better 3 point shooter then Kobe and in game 2 Wade and Kirk both looked like better players then your beloved Lebron. You are on his meat. May be next season I will be able to say he is the best player in the league as I will admit he was better then Kobe this post season and he may be better then him at this exact moment, but Im looking at the body of work over the last 2-3 season. Kobe without a shadow of doubt is the best player until Lebron out plays him for multiple season=making it farther then him in the playoffs I don't want to hear he is better then Kobe. Plus stats are often deceiving and overrated. I look at the players as I watch them. That being said D-Wade is a natural leader who is just as good at lebron. Lebron is the best athlete in the league tho. PS we can ague this all day bottom line. Kobe D-Wade Lebron Dirk are all very good players and you prolly would love to have any of them on your team if you are a team in the NBA. Best is an opinionated word that can never be fully settled so looks like we are just ***** on that one. Im not saying Lebron is not the best im just saying he is not the undisputed best at least not right now. Let me guess he is better then MJ to! LMAO

I like the sign and trade Idea 2011 Off Season Team Needs 1)Lock Up CP3 2)Sign Starting SG 3)Sign West or Landry Back 4)Get more shooters 5)Find/Sign #2 super star Resign: PF Carl Landry Landry SF Patrick Ewing, Jr. SG Marco Belinelli ® FA:SG Arron Affalo SG Nick Young SG JR Smith SF Caron Butler SF Jason Kopono Let Go:PF David West SG Willie Green PG Marus Banks C Arron Gray Draft:No Picks 2011 Roster PG CP3 SG Arron Affalo FA SF Trevor Ariza PF Carl Landry C Emeka Okafor Bench PG Jarrett Jack SG Marco Belinelli SF/SG Jason Kopono FA SF Quincy Pondexter PF/SF Patrick Ewing Jr C DJ Mbenga C Jason Smith C David Andersen First thing sure up CP3 the sign back Carl Landry the younger of your two FA Power Forwards. Next sign Arron Affalo. Affalo is a star on the rise with true SG size 6"5 who is one the best 3 point shooter in the NBA who can also defend. He is capable of scoring 20 and guarding the other teams best wing player. This shows CP3 we are trying to improve are roster. Kopono give you a pure shooter off the bench. Okafor is a good post defender who need to score more this season. Ariza is one of the most under rated players in the league and Belineli is a good back up.Still need to add depth inside. Still in hunt for a #2 all star, however Landry is improving and if we Sign Affalo he has All-Star potential.

What moves should the Hornets make this season?
-
David West hasn't decided whether to opt out
Showtime16 replied to Dash's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
You guys are right only one of the two will be back. Witch one would you rather the Hornets sign back if you are a Hornet fan. I would sign Landry he is getting better and he will be a little cheaper then West who will prolly get a 7-8 mil deal since he is a top big FA. -
Good points but 5 mil a year is a lot for a D-League/Bench guy and as far as Jordan Hill you right you just described the exact type of player that I hate to coach more then anything. I will take 1 Chuck over 5 Hills any day Chuck= heart desire work ethic intangibles over achieving the type of guy you want Hill=waste of god given talent lazy never plays hard lacks competitive mind that "winners" have just ask Charlie Sheen makes me sick. I like your point about Mchale working with Thatbeet tho.

If the Heat would play the old Bad Boys(Bill Laimbeer, John Long, Chuck Daly Oscar Feldman, John Salley, James Edwards, Rick Mahorn Michael Williams, Vinnie Johnson, Fennis Dembo, Dennis Rodman, Mark Aguirre, Joe Dumars, Isiah Thomas)Detroit Pistons Bron and Co wouldnt make the first half. They rely on the drive to much Pistons wouldnt have that shit!
