Lakers need to do something to help my Dawg Kobe......Gasol is good not great Bynum=over rated/mediocre Put a fork in D Fish Ron Artest is on a steady fast decline from what I have seen and I am a fan of the guy love players who play hard/reckless, but he is regressing Shannon Brown is inconsistent Steve Blake not athletic enough Lamar Odom is ok he is just soft Matt Barnes Iike him but he can't score. Lakers need to get more athletic at PG and SF bring shooting specialist to spread floor and trade Bynum while he has value. They also need an athletic big. Kobe is the best player in the game he is just getting old and needs more help imagine if he had bosh and D Wade shit would be ridiculous.Kobe's miles Finals back to back Olympics/Gold 35-40 MPG lotta where and tear in pass four years. People are always so quick to jump on the next thing, what is "now" forgetting the pass 1-2 years of performance and not looking at things as a whole "hype".

He is not even the best player on his team last time I checked.........D-Wade and I love how everybody rushes to say LeBron's is the best player after one good playoff run when Kobe been doing it and last time I checked he still the best 5 Kobe 1 D-Wade 0 LeBron. If the Heat win then we can start talking about Lebron till then chill with that and one more thing who means more to their team Dirk or Lebron Heat can win without Lebron Mavs don't make playoffs without Dirk. I watch to much Skip lmao

I wish we could get Gasol, but I doubt it. You a Iggy fan?LOL! Yea I hope we get lucky with the draft sucks it is a weak class when the Rockets have two first round picks, but I think there is depth in the class good role players and a couple of sleepers. Ima Dontatas fan hope we get him hope we dont take the Morris twin! Im so sick of Yao I wish we would just let him go and spend the money on someone else another FA Wilson Chandler Arron Afallo De Jordan David West somebody who can play more then 30 games a year lol! I wish they would ship off Thabbeets huge 5 mil a year contract and get rid of soft as shit Hill! Like the Brad miller commentLMJAO nice roster

2011 Mock Draft 2.0 1. CLE- Kyrie Irving Duke PG: Irving is in most eyes the sure number one pick, however I am not sold on his game. He is a good true PG, but I am not sure he can match up athletically. Cleveland needs help everywhere and with two of the top 4 picks they can take a chance on a could be All-Star PG. Irving will step in from day one with a chance to start. This pick allows the Cavs to trade Barron Davis or move him to the 2 where he can play along side Irving. NBA Comparison: Chris Paul Terrel Brandon (Enes Kanter Jonas Valanciunas) 2. MIN-Jonas Valanciunas Lietuvos Rytas C: Valanciunas is a good C with a well rounded game and all the tools to help a struggling team. Valancinuas is considered by most to be the most NBA ready C in the draft. The T Wolves could pair Valanciunas with Kevin Love to form a formidable Front court. NBA Comparison: Nened Kristic Jokiem Noah ( Enes Kanter Jan Vesely)If the Timberwolves don't trade the pick for veterans. 3. UTA- Derrick Williams Arizona SF/PF: The Jazz have two pick in the lottery and l think they will take a big with their first and a guard with their second. Derrick Williams is believed to be the top player in the draft and the Jazz will take him as he falls to them at the 3rd pick. Williams is a versatile player who can play both forward positions. NBA Comparison: David West Tim Thomas ( Brandon Knight Jonas Valanciunas) 4. CLE-Enes Kanter Kentucky/Turkey C/PF: Kanter is the number one prospect on my draft board. He is a good scorer with a variety of inside moves and good touch from outside. He is also a good defender and rebounder. Kanter also has He could be a pillar for any struggling team to build around with true big men hard to come by Kanter could be a great player for years to come with the skill set he has. NBA Comparison: Al Horrford LaMarcus Aldridge (Derrick Williams Jonas Valancinunas) 5. TOR-Brandon Knight Kentucky PG/SG: Toronto is the youngest team in the league and are in need of help everywhere. Brandon Knight is as good Combo guard who if he can hone in his PG skills could be a great PG.Knight can shoot and handle the rock. Toronto is ready to part with Calderon and Knight could step into the starting PG role. NBA Comparison: Larry Hughes Russell Westbrook (Kemba Walker Jan Vesely) 6. WAS- Kawhi Leonard San Diego State SF: Leonard is considered a defensive ace with high upside do to his athleticism. The Wizards will take Leonard with hope that he can step in and be a shut down defender for a young team. Kawhi Leonard would be a mid to late first rounder in a stronger draft class, but he will be a good role player for years to come. NBA Comparison: Gerald Wallace Shawn Marion (Tristen Thompson Jan Velely) 7. SAC- Marcus Morris Kansas SF/PF: The smaller of the Morris twins is trying to make it as a SF where he would have a size advantage, but his lack of premiere outside skills could be his downfall. If you play him as a PF he then becomes a tweener. He could serve as a combo forward though playing both SF and PF. NBA Comparison: Al Harrington Jonathan Bender (Chris Singleton Jimmer Fredette) 8. DET-Bismack Biyombo Baloncesto Fuenlabrada C/PF: The mystery mans defense and raw athleticism will land him in the lottery. Detroit is looking to land the second coming of Ben Wallace or maybe even Dennis Rodman. Joe Dumars hope to use his old recipe to get back to glory. He has alot of work to do, but Bismack could be the next piece pairing him with Greg Monroe inside. NBA Comparison: Ben Wallace Alonzo Mourning (Marcus Morris Alec Burks) 9. CHA- Kemba Walker UConn PG/SG: Kemba is a good scorer with great speed and quickness. The knock on him he is not PG but a combo guard to small to play SG, but he dosn't have PG skill set, however he is a good scorer and if he develops his PG skills he may be a great NBA player. NBA Comparison: Tim Hardaway Allen Iverson (Klay Thompson Alec Burks) 10. MIL-Alec Burks Colorado SG: One of the only true SG is this class. Burks needs work on his outside shooting. He has good size and athleticism with a good outside game not a great one. He is solid on defense and fits the needs and the Bucks system. NBA Comparison: James Harden Evan Turner (Chris Singleton Marcus Morris) 11. GS- Chris Singleton Florida State SF: The Warriors mad a val to improve their defense in the off season. Singleton a 6"9 small forward who is one of the two wing man defensive studs in this draft class could be the first step in to fulfilling that val. Singleton is a rangy athletic player whose scoring and offense is improving. If Singleton does develop offensively and you add that to his believed defensive skills he could be a shining star in this draft. NBA Comparison:Luc Richard Mbah a Moute Scottie Pippen ( Nikola Mirotic Jan Vesely) 12. UTA- Jan Vesely KK Partizan Belgrade PF/SF Vesely is a prospect that is hard to place; I have seen him going anywhere from top 5 to mid first round. Vesely is a young athletic player who can make plays above the rim and block shots. Can play both SF and PF for the Jazz.. He has to much upside to fall out of the first round. NBA Comparison Tyrus Thomas Andrei Kirilenko (Klay Thompson Jimmer Fredette) 13.PHI- Nicola Mirotic Real Madrid SF/PF: Mirotic is a long rangy player whose stock is rapidly rising his athletics, upside, and skill set are the three key factors for his rise. He can play PF and C he is tall lean kid who needs to bulk up to hand inside in the NBA but he can hit 15 footers and has a good sky hook and passing skills on offense. Defensively he is long and can block shots. NBA Comparison Mehmet Okur Andrei Kirilenko(Donatas Motiejunas Tristen Thompson) 14. HOU-Donatas Motiejunas Benetton Treviso C/PF: The Rockets are in need of a star caliber C and Donatas has all the tools to be just that. With a sweet out side stroke and good low post moves he is ready to help offensively and with his athleticism, length and shot blocking potential he could help defensively. If he is available the Rockets would have a key piece to their future success. His shot has been compared to Dirk. Will the Rockets trade Scola before the season and if so for what or who will they get?

Houston Rockets 2011 offseason thread

My Rockets Wish List 1) Trade Scola for some sort of prospect and a future first round pick or a solid role player. Not sure what player or what team is interested. With Future First Round Pick Arron Afallo SG Nuggets Jodie Meeks SG 76ers Dexter Pittman C Heat Larry Sanders C Bucks Avery Bradley PG Celtics Daequan Cook G Thunder 2) Have a good draft and land a solid C and or SF. Look for one of these players: C Donatas Motiejunas SF Tobias Harris SF Tyler Honeycutt C Lucas Nogueira 3)Let Yao go and move on! 4) Make some moves in FA. Say any of the following or combo of the fallowing! C Marc Gasol C De Jordan SF Wilson Chandler JJ Beraea Arron Affallo 5) Figure out if Kevin Martin is a cornerstone of the future or if we are truly rebuilding and package him with our assets for an All-Star caliber player. 6) Find a starting SF and upgrade back up PG. Starters PG Kyle Lowry (Good starting PG) SG Kevin Martin (Great Scorer with no defense) SF Wilson Chandler FA (Improves SF position on offense and defense) PF Patrick Patterson (A good find builds on good rookie campaign becomes full time starter) C De Jordan FA (Young athletic C with good upside) Bench C Chuck Hayes (Good post defender) Insert who ever you get for Scola here SG Courtney Lee (Good offensively small SG) Asset C Donatas Motiejunas Draft (Offensive ace with huge upside) SF Tyler Honeycutt (Good skills athletic versatile with huge upside) SF Chase Budinger (Athletic) Expendable Asset SF Terrence Williams (Good passer and athletic) Asset PF Jordan Hill (Blah) Expendable Asset PG Goran Dragic (Over Rated) Expendable Asset C Hasheem Thabeet (Project with upside) Expendable Assets -

No thanks yall can keep him.

I wish we could get a young prospect and a future first round pick out of Scola. That would be great and yea they sure did miss out on being able to trade Scola with higher value being stubborn. What young prospect would you want the Rockets to get?

Yea Ima Rockets guy for life and it is time to rebuild. Scola is good but he won't win you games Lowry is good not great K-Mart can score but is a number 2 type of guy with no D or court vision. Put a fork in Yao he is done! The only player I say is untouchable is Patrick Patterson i think has the makeup to be a good player and a team leader. -

I don't know you but reading your post I was like did I post this because I hope the Rockets can get Donata Motiejunas at 14 and Tyler Honeycutt or Lucas Nogueira at 23 myself. It looks like Motiejunas draft posistion is going to be hard to predict. I like him and then if he isn't available Tobias Harris. I would pair them like this 14 C Motiejunas 23 SF/SG Honeycutt 14 SF/PF Tobias Harris 23 C Nogueira -

C/SF/Shooter SF C or C SF No I agree with the Blitz 3 new starters Hayes won't start next year upgrade at SF and Scola may be traded so Patterson PF -
Im a Jimmer fan but I don't think the Rockets take him at 14. I do however think he can and will play in the NBA and look forward to watching him. He may fall to 23 its crazy I have seen him go from 12th in the draft to like 21st. Rockets need two things C and SF they have two picks. Roll the dice Kanter is the only guy worth trading up for.

OTR Houston Rockets Roundtable: post you questions
Showtime16 replied to Dash's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
The Lottery should have a few curve balls this year as the draft class is weak but deep and no players out of the top 5 really separated themselves thus far at the NBA combine or indo workouts. (Be realisitic ex: we won't get Derrick Williams, Enes Kanter, or Brandon Knight unless we trade up) Should Rockets try to trade up? If so for who and to where?Unless they think they can get Kanter then no. What are some possible selections the Rockets could make with their two first round picks (14th 23rd)? Examples: 14th 7" C Dontatas Mtiejunas(Immediate help) 23rd 6"8 SF/SG Tyler Honeycutt (Potential) 14th 6'2 PG/SG Jimmer Fredette (Best Available) 23rd 7" C Lucas Nogueira (Need and Potential) Witch two players would help the most or make the most sense and why? Dontatas Mitiejunas would make the most sense to me if he fall that low (I am hoping) He is a 7 Center witch feels a team need who is stronger then most young Euro players and he has a sweet stroke and offensive game to go along with shot blocking skills on D. I like Tyler Honeycutt's versatility and athleticism. He will be available at 23 and has stupid upside, is an unselfish player that some scouts say his best attribute is his court vision and passing at 6"8 hone those skills and combine them with a solid outside shooting touch could be deadly he also feels a need SF. He need to bulk up to contribute. I have been eying these two guys for the Rockets since the season ended, but I am now leaning toward 7 Center Lucus Nogueira if we don't get Dontatas Mitejunas. He is young, tall, long, athletic with great upside and a already solid skill set and competitive attitude. Should they draft for immediate help, best available, or Potential? At 14 Immediate help and at 23rd potential Witch two players would you like to see the Rockets Pick?At 14 C Dontatas Mitejunas or Fredette at 23 Honeycutt or Nogueira second round Scotty Hopson What second round prospects should Rockets look into picking or do you think would make impact?Borderline 1st rounder PF Justin Harper Second Rounders SF Davis Bertans SF/SG Scotty Hopson SG/SF Travis Leslie SF/SG Deandre Liggins What is your final Prediction? First Round 14th Dontatas Mtiejunas 7 C Tobias Harris 6"8 SF/PF ( if Dontatas not available) 23rd Tyler Honeycutt 6"8 SF/SG Second Round 8th Davis Bertans 6"10 SF How does your dream draft go? First Round 14th Jimmer Fredette 6"2 PG/SG 23rd Lucus Nogueira 7 C or Marshon Brooks (Nogueira potential, I just think Brooks is an NBA ready scorer) Second Round 8th Scotty Hopson 6"7 SF/SG
