My Rockets off season Rockets Top 3 Needs C:Chuck Hays does what he can, but he is not a starter he would serve Rockets better off bench SF:Rockets need to address this need in the off season Budinger is ok, they need an offensive threat or lock down defender their to complement the Kevin Martin Shooting PG/SG: Rockets need to get a combo guard to come off bench, hit the three and spread out defense Resign Players: Don't resign Yao or at least don't over pay to keep him Sign Dragic back only if you can't find a scoring point guard Sign Chuck back he is a gritty team player Maybes Brad Miller never can have to many bigs Courtney Lee is still young and could be good player Free Agents: Land one or more of these players FA Big Board Caron Butler David West Deandre Jordan Marc Gasol Nene Wilson Chandler Arron Affalo Spencer Hawes Glen Davis JJ Berea Josh Howard Kelenna Azubuike Josh McRoberts If you land a good big man you then make Scola expendable (trade) I think we push for De Jordan Rockets never pull trigger on free agents and we get another avg big Big Baby Davis or prospect McRoberts Draft: Pending on prior selections Rockets need to have a good draft in what is said to be weak draft class, but Rocks GM is decent at picking late 1st early 2nd picks Draft Big Board minus the players I think we be gone FASHO 1st Round Terrance Jones Jan Vesely Jimmer Fredette Kawhi Leonard Donatas Motiejunas Tristan Thompson Tyler Honeycutt Jordan Hamilton Bismack Biyombo Kenneth Faried Darius Morris JaJuan Johnson 2nd Round Darius Morris JaJuan Johnson Travis Leslie LaceDarius Dunn Norris Cole E'twaun Moore Chandler Parsons Kalin Lucus First Round Do the Rockets take Best Available or Draft for needs? 1st pick Donatas Motiejunas Can play C/PF/SF sweet stroke from outside but can also bang needs to work on D though Alt:Jimmer Fredette Tristan Thompson 2nd pick Tyler Honeycutt SG/SF tall, rangy athletic, and he is skilled Alt: Darius Morris Kenneth Faried Second Round Deandre Liggins JaJaun Johnson or Justin Harper since Darius Moore is climbing the draft boards 2012 Roster STARTERS Kyle Lowry Kevin Martin Terrence Williams Louis Scola Donatas Motiejunas BENCH Patrick Patterson Chase Budinger Chuck Hayes Tyler Honeycutt Deandre Liggins Courtney Lee Jordan Hill Hasheem Thabeet With this off season you solved all your roster problems realistically Now your Trade Scola and throw in Lowry Martin Hill or Lee Possibilities: Trading for Wilson Chandler SF/SG w/ Chis Andersen or Arron Affalo Trading for Andre Iggidola Trading for Tyson Chandler Trading for David West I would trade Scola Lowry and Lee for ChandlerChris Andersen and Arron Affalo Team Needs SF check C Check and Shooter Check in this trade Then Trad Hill and another roll player for a PG say TJ Ford Rodrigue Beaubois Daequan Cook Nate Robinson Hill strait up for Robinson remember his Knick days or Cook the two most likely options Sign Vet PG Acie Law or Earl Watson Final Roster 2012 Roster STARTERS Nate Robinson Kevin Martin Wilson Chandler Patrick Patterson Deandre Jordan BENCH Arron Affalo Donatas Motiejunas Chuck Hayes Chris Andersen Terrence Williams Tyler Honeycutt Chase Budinger Deandre Liggins Acie Law Josh McRoberts Hasheem Thabeet -

Pistons Bobcats Cavs just to name a few I have My Cavs off season posted in their team forum here is my Piston off season "Blow Up" Top 3 Needs: PG SF SG Everybody is expendable the Pistons glory days left with Cauncey Buillups. They have good players but they are all out of their primes. Only Austin Daye, Greg Monroe, Rodney Stuckey, and possibly Jonas Jerebko have a secure future in Detroit. FA:Get some new faces 12 Will Bynum G 6-0 185 Georgia Tech 3 Solid reserve 5 Austin Daye F 6-11 200 Gonzaga 1 Good young prospect 7 Ben Gordon G 6-3 200 University of Connecticut 6 Super scorer off the bench trade to contender 32 Richard Hamilton G 6-7 193 University of Connecticut 11 Veteran player best days behind him trade to contender 33 Jonas Jerebko F 6-9 220 Sweden 1 Young prospect 54 Jason Maxiell F 6-7 260 University of Cincinnati 5 Good reserve 1 Tracy McGrady G 6-8 223 Mt. Ford true PG Daequan Cook Shooter Dashawn Stevenson Defender Trades: Some Combo Hamilton Villanueva Gordon Bynum to Grizzlies for OJ Mayo Ish Smith or Tony Allen 2012 Roster Starters TJ Ford PG FA OJ Mayo SG Trade Kelenna Azubuike SF FA Greg Monroe PF/C Bismack Biyombo C/PF Draft Reserves Rodney Stuckey PG/SG Austin Daye SF/PF Ben Wallace C Daequan Cook SG/PG FA Travis Leslie SG/SF Draft Jason Maxiell PF/C Jonas Jerebko C/PF Ish Smith PG Trade Breakdown: Trading contracts and worn out players for young talent and infusing solid role playing players via FA is a start to the Detroit Blow up. Rodney Stuckey is a possible six man of the year candidate as a combo scorer off the bench. Ford is an average PG with good leadership skill for a very young team. I think Memphis would take Rip Hamilton Villanueva Ben Gordon and Will Bynum or any combination of these four for Mayo and Ish Smith. The trade makes them more Title ready now rather then building up for the title.

Timberwolves may look to trade #1 draft pick
Showtime16 replied to Dash's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
If Rubio does indeed sign as expected, point guard Jonny Flynn's days in Minnesota are numbered. Sources also indicated to HOOPSWORLD that Flynn is almost sure to be traded in that case with the Toronto Raptors being one of the most probable destinations. There could be some competition for his services as the Charlotte Bobcats and Detroit Pistons could also use some help at the lead guard spot. Flynn is a first-class individual with incredible character, but he hasn't produced as hoped in Minnesota and Rubio's arrival makes him expendable. At the age of 22 he still has some upside and his price tag is not very high at all. Read more NBA news and insight: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=19789#ixzz1MMY9GZZh -

Trade idea: Russell Westbrook for Chris Paul
Showtime16 replied to htownborn's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
This make sense to me for the Hornets because everyone knows CP3 is not signing back so trade him and get a legit scoring point and some other pieces if the offer really exists. I think this trade goes down only if the Thunder don't make it to the Finals. Win win for both teams really.
