  1. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Houston has continued to aggressively probe the Lakers on a potential Pau Gasol trade, but there's no deal close, league sources tell Y!

  3. Looks like the Rockets are trying to get back in the sweepstakes but I still don't see them parting with Lowry nor will the Lakers deal Pau without Kyle in the deal. http://www.cbssports.com/nba/story/17664419/postups-freeagent-frenzy-or-lack-thereof-all-hangs-on-howard
  4. I quit. Morey make a trade already.
  5. I'd go for this deal. Barring another major trade the Rockets aren't getting the first round so why not take a shot at Evan Turner and see if he can become an All-Star? This also would clear a bit more cap space as well and the Rockets can already offer one max contract in free agency.
  6. Per a respected Sixer fan from the realgm board who is supposedly an insider and has proven to be credible in the past. Take it FWIW:
  7. I'd take Foster over Mario a hundred times over. No way we let our best player walk. I still hope we can find a way to bring back Mario but that is beginning to look very unlikely.
  8. Man this Raptors defense is suffocating us. Its a miracle that we are still ahead.
  9. Anyone see that flop by Martin? Worst flop I have ever seen. Bayless was on the floor and he did it 10 seconds after the whistle.
  10. Probably not the best way to go but if the Raptors end up with a top 3 pick in this year's top heavy draft...then by all means go for it. The Raptors would have their franchise player in Harrison Barnes (just throwing him out there since he makes the most sense) and a top prospect in a rather weak position leaguewide in Jonas Valanciunas. Throw in Andrea Bargnani, DeMar DeRozan and Ed Davis and its not too bad of a team going forward without Steve Nash. Sign Steve Nash, get a young team a taste of winning, and probably save the job of the best coach Toronto has had in a while (if he truly would be in the hot seat if the team doesn't make the playoffs in 2013). Nash would retire after 2 seasons but at least the team has a future without him. But if the Raptors end up with say Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, which is much more likely (although the Raptors do have the 6th best odds of ending up with a top 3 pick), then this would be a horrible move.
  11. The Rockets walked away when the Hornets were asking for Lowry (keep in mind that this is before he broke out this season) and this was when Houston could sign Nene after a deal for Pau Gasol. Now Nene is no longer is a possibility, can't picture Houston have too much interest honestly unless the Lakers accept a Scola/Martin package. Anyways it was reported yesterday by Jonathan Feigan of the Houston Chronicle that Houston hasn't held one discussion with the Lakers about Pau Gasol since mid-December. So yeah...that ship has sailed. Edit: Daryl Morey and Kupchak were actually seen sitting together during the D-League All-Star game. Probably nothing but just throwing that out there. Again I don't see Houston having interest in Pau Gasol at the current asking price.
  12. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/basketball/nba/wires/02/27/2030.ap.bkn.kings.arena.1st.ld.writethru.0347/ Great news.
  13. Eh his first and third dunks were okay. Evans had one great dunk and two extremely bland dunks, and Derrick Williams was out for missing 139863946 attempts on his third. So it was down to Bud and George for me, probably George if we could have actually seen his 2nd dunk.
  14. Shitty contest. Bud or George should have won. Budinger actually lost by 1%.
  15. Great win, Lowry came up big down the stretch and scored our final 6 points (before the Sixers began to foul). 20-14 going into the All-Star break, the Rockets have got to feel good about that especially since Martin and Scola haven't been up to their usual production.
  16. Likely just bullshit. They probably don't want people to know about the match before they officially announce it on Raw.
  17. Not happening with the emergence of Nikola Pekovic. I remember reading somewhere that the Wolves have backed off in the Pau talks since Pekovic is appearing to be the long-term frontcourt mate for Kevin Love.

  22. Great win. We played great defense in the final 30 or so seconds when the Thunder had 4 chances to score (3 were shots by Durant). Nearly gave me a heart attack.
  23. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/Miami-Heat-Chris-Kaman-Minnesota-Timberwolves-Pau-Gasol-Los-Angeles-Lakers-trade-021512 I'm guessing on top of Derrick Williams the Wolves are trying to package Luke Ridnour, Wesley Johnson along with possibly the Jazz and Grizzlies first round picks. Possibly a big man as well but I don't see the Lakers going for it.
