  1. Pau is on the wrong side of 30 and Houston wouldn't have much talent after this deal. Plus we're helping a team create a dynasty in the same conference as us while they barely give up anything. Makes no sense whatsoever, I'd rather just stay pat.
  2. We're giving up all our talent just for an upgrade at PF. A duo of Kyle Lowry/Pau Gasol won't get us very far out West. And yes I'd rather give Chris Paul a shot, Houston would have the cap space to go after Dwight in 2012.
  3. Ugh. Houston is willing to take on Paul without an extension. Regardless this is too much value for Pau Gasol, awful trade.
  4. Then why the [expletive] aren't WE getting Paul? Horrible deal for Houston.
  5. I just don't get this, with the premise of this deal Houston should be the ones getting Chris Paul not the Lakers. Need more details.
  6. If Lakers aren't moving Bynum and Pau goes to Houston, aren't the Rockets giving up all the pieces required for New Orleans to move Paul?
  7. ChrisMannixSI Chris Mannix Lakers pushing hard to make Pau/CP3 deal. If they can close, would offer Bynum for Dwight and whatever bad contract ORL wants to dump.
  8. I had a feeling the Rockets would be involved in a Chris Paul trade, whether it was for him or operating as a third team facilitator.
  9. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski As SI.com reports, the Lakers, Hornets and Rockets are engaged in 3-way talks on deal that would send Chris Paul to Lakers. ChrisMannixSI Chris Mannix Piggybacking off @sam_amick tweet, Lakers/Rockets/Hornets discussing a deal that would send CP3 to LA, Pau to Houston. WOW.
  10. Just reported on ESPN. Agreed to a 10 year $250 million deal.
  11. Motiejunas set a record for most rebounds in a game. http://www.vtb-league.com/en/news/kniga-rekordov-ligi-moteyunas--novyy-rekordsmen-po-podboram.htm FYI rebounds are tougher to get in Europe. Motiejunas is averaging 14.3 points per game, 8.5 rebounds and 1 block for the season.
  12. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Av0BJr8jMseQJYrZBPzFGOC8vLYF?slug=aw-wojnarowski_chris_paul_hornets_trade_offers_nba_120811 Worth noting that this might not be over by training camps as Hornets had hoped.
  13. Still think you guys should have gone after a center but good signing regardless.
  14. Yeah this is why I had Paul going to Boston even with the Clippers/Warriors clearly leading the race, knew Paul's reluctance to sign an extension was eventually going come into to play. Rondo + Clippers first + future Celtics first (could be valuable if Paul doesn't resign) + Jeff Green could be the best the Hornets can get if the both GS and LAC continue to hesitate.
  15. Big update from David Aldridge, like before I'll cut this into pieces. Like Deron Williams, Chris Paul won't sign an extension but its because he wants the contract that comes with it: a fat $102 million contract for 5 years. However, the Clippers and Warriors aren't comfortable with this and its put a snag in negotiations. Just how uncomfortable are the Clippers? They won't include Eric Gordon BUT here's the kicker: the Timberwolves unprotected first round pick may be off the table. Since the two "frontrunners" for Chris Paul are reluctant to give up key assets, this may cause the return value the Hornets were hoping to get to drop significantly. Also it doesn't seem like the Hornets are in love with one particular player in the Clippers' package. Still no Curry in the Warriors' offer yet. Knicks still the only team Paul would resign with, which contradicts the earlier report by Sam Amick that he would consider resigning with the Lakers. http://www.nba.com/2011/news/12/07/chris-paul-extension/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpt2
  16. Veteran leadership for a young locker room, pretty sure Raptors know they don't have much of a shot but might as well try.
