Clippers not chasing Dwight anymore
Dash replied to magicbalala245's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Looks like they're going all out for Chris Paul, he's the more realistic option right now and more likely to sign an extension. Plus he's on the market unlike Dwight so it makes sense. -
Too much important info from Woj's new piece so I'll split them into bits. Paul to Lakers sounding unlikely. On the Clippers: What the Warriors are offering: The Celtics offer: Rockets and Mavericks still in the mix. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AqLPGbnrbFLTTGAq5Bo1stO8vLYF?slug=aw-wojnarowski_chris_paul_hornets_offers_nba_120611

WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski New Orleans strongly engaged with Clippers, Warriors and Celtics in trade talks for Chris Paul on Tuesday, league sources tell Y! WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Paul has indicated Clippers and Warriors could raise chances of keeping him long-term if they sign center Tyson Chandler too, sources say.

Apparently the Rockets have expressed some interest in Dalembert. http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Rockets-seeking-to-meet-with-free-agent-center-2346878.php?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter

No details on how the meeting with Nene went but there is an update: http://www.chron.com/sports/rockets/article/Rockets-seeking-to-meet-with-free-agent-center-2346878.php?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter The only way the Rockets could free up more cap space would be through trade and/or amnesty cutting Hasheem Thabeet.

Its doubtful that they do, Morey seems to be buckling up for the 2012 offseason.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7320941/chris-paul-new-orleans-hornets-traded-season-sources-say No surprise that the Rockets are willing to give up their load of assets for Paul even without an extension, they were willing to do the same for Carmelo and Deron Williams last season after all. However, they'll probably come up short like they did with Deron.

http://www.foxsportsflorida.com/12/05/11/Free-agents-Salary-cap-hurts-Heats-appea/landing_heat.html?blockID=619990&rhsts&feedID=3722 While Houston may be his top choice, it doesn't seem like the Rockets would be offering more than a one year deal. And last we heard was that Morey and his staff don't have any interest in "settling" for Dalembert. Also its most likely that Houston may be his favorite destination just because we're the only team he listed that has cap space and he is hoping for a big payday knowing full well that we need a center.

For those not aware, general managers and coaches may begin meeting face to face with NBA free agents. Signings and trades may begin Friday. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7311353/nba-free-agency-courting-start-monday-sources-say

Rockets to meet with Nene today. Fingers crossed. I think we would be a lot better than last year's Denver team.
-
Because this one doesn't sound so serious.
-
He would be a great pickup for this team but they have a bigger hole at center, Miami needs to fill that before looking for Lebron's backup.
-
We could be a 5th seed out West with one of these guys IMO.

Knee gave out during the 3rd quarter. Brian Cushing, Jason Allen and Jason Hartman also hurt. Well at least it isn't the same hamstring.

Damn our defense is making Ryan look like a scrub out there.
-
What were the officials looking at? That was an obvious incompletion.
-
Holy shit Yates is good.

Lets see what Yates can do.
