  1. Mavs have managed to make a respectable team given all the losses early in the offseason. But does this make them a contender? I don't know. Probably not. However, I do like the mix of veterans.
  2. In a NBA where a majority of the players are egotistical and self-serving, I see no problem in him looking out for his interests. If he isn't, who will?
  3. A what if? Felton is definitely that. You think Portland expected him to show up out of shape? Meanwhile, Lin proved over a huge string of games that he can produce and win for a team under huge pressure. From a basketball, marketing, and organizational standpoint, signing Lin is the correct move. Felton is not someone you can have confidence in, as evidenced by his play last season. Normally I am against overpaying, but Lin's production deserved more respect from the Knicks.
  4. This is such a stupid move. If it wasn't for Lin, the "Melo"-led Knicks wouldn't even have made the playoffs. The fact that New York isn't willing to give him at least another year after what he brought to that franchise is pathetic. Now Houston is going to reap the benefits. I'm in shock that this happened. First, I thought Houston made a bad move in moving both Lowry and Dragic, but they just won big here. Another dumb move by New York. Sure, New York has Kidd and Felton, but they won't be as good. They'll be a 5-8 seed again.
  5. http://www.hoopsworld.com/lakers-magic-cavs-talk-three-team-deal I still don't get how this is a fair trade for Orlando, but I'd love to see Bynum with Kyrie. From what I've read, he'd be willing to sign an extension in Cleveland.
  6. Made the bottom one my wallpaper. Good job.
  7. I'd rather stay in control of the situation than give in to this garbage deal. You're seriously telling me that what Orlando would get would make them that much better than if they just kept him this season and let him be a free agent? IF I'm a GM, I'm insulted that this is the best route I can go. Magic are in control for a whole freaking season. Why rush a deal just for Dwight.
  8. Why would Orlando not want Brooks? He was one of the best rookies last season... If I'm the Magic I wait. If we get Bynum, do it, but if not, make Dwight stay there all next season He opted in, he can deal with it.
  9. No to both. They could be up there with Chicago, but not near Boston or Miami.
  10. Are you kidding me? You've had Rubio for one freaking year. Your GM just got Brandon Roy and Batum. Besides, Love shouldn't be considered a superstar until we see what he brings in the playoffs. This guy needs to shut his mouth. The team made considerable improvements last season; heck, they were in the playoff race most of the season. Does he expect them to be contenders with the flip of switch?
  11. Spurs were a super team maybe when David Robinson and Duncan were playing, but not in the Manu/Parker era. Duncan was the only guy who started for an all star team during the big three run. Meanwhile, Bosh, LBJ, and Wade are all arguably the best at their position, at least in the conference. Hence, super team. I view a super team as having more than one player who is number one in the conference/league at his position in your starting lineup. And how the hell is San Antonio a big market?
  12. If he plays near the level he did in the Grizzlies series, the 76ers may have found a solid sixth man to replace Lou. I like his swagger and streaky shooting.
  13. It has to do with Ray Allen staying the course and sticking with what he signed up for. Unlike Nash, Ray Allen was on a team that was one win away from the NBA finals. KG resigned, so why did Ray Allen decide to be the one guy who gave up on the Celtics final run? Celtics aren't at too big a loss, though, as Jason Terry will help just as much.
  14. Brooklyn and Indiana won't be doing anything next season. They'll advance to the semis at best. It's Boston/Miami all over again, with Miami having the advantage. We'll see about Chicago.
  15. Full Article I like the idea of getting a veteran point guard to help Kyrie. I also love Ilyasova because he could instantly be put into the starting lineup. However, I don't want us to overpay to get free agents.
  16. Lame, another sell out who I lost respect for...and this doesn't even compare to what Steve Nash did. And my loss for respect of Ray Allen has nothing to do with LeBron. Just given the history of Cavs and Heat vs. Celtics, this is a sell out move.
  17. I'd like to see him in Boston, especially is Ray doesn't return.
  18. I never understood why they traded him in the first place...has potential to be a great point guard. Reminds me of Manu, just not at that level yet.
  19. Looking back, was it really worth not resigning Tyson and JJ?
  20. Well the Wolves are willing to pay 10 million to say his knees are fine. This has got to suck to Portland fans. He only missed one year...why didn't he just sit out last year while still being with them?
