Down 6 to 8 teams for Dwight Howard
Cleveland's Finest replied to magicbalala245's topic in General NBA Discussion
Shannon Brown, Morris, and Gortat with a few first rounders? Maybe throw in Frye for more 3 point shooting for Orlando? Gortat is a solid starting center, Brown has potential. -
It works until it becomes a routine. The goal is to do something that distracts you. I was told to put a Kleenex in between my mouth and the water bottle and focus on drinking it through the Kleenex. Once I started doing it for awhile, though, it stopped working. Just need to keep coming up with new distractions while drinking water, and it works. Who knows, maybe this one does work forever.

East Playoffs Set Already?
Cleveland's Finest replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in General NBA Discussion
It's sad but true. This isn't just the fan in me, but the Cavs would be in this race if Andy was healthy. As it stands, he isn't. The Bucks could catch fire, but it seems unlikely. So unless the Nets get Dwight, it looks like the 8 teams are set. The Bulls and Heat will fight for the one seed. The other 6 teams could finish in any order. Any one of those teams could get on a roll and move up the standings. Very excited for the playoffs. -
If Artest can play like this, the Lakers are going to win the Pacific at least.

Miami at Portland

Damn this Portland team has fallen quickly. Hopefully they can still rally to make the playoffs but even that seems unlikely after seeing the upcoming schedule. -

Who's More Valuable to His Team: Kobe, LeBron or Durant?
Cleveland's Finest replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Player Comparisons
It's Kobe. Think of it this way: Look at all three teams: Heat, Thunder, Lakers. The top 5 players from those three teams are LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Westbrook, and Wade. If LBJ or Durant go down, there's still a guy to be the go-to guy on offense. Take Kobe off the Lakers....it could get ugly. -
Boston at Cleveland

It doesn't get much more frustrating. 81-80 lead with under a minute left....oh well. -

Clippers ReSign Bobby Simmons

Wow I totally forgot about this guy. Surprised he played in the D-league. -
This. I've seen Blazers fans be ejected during games on TV...and the crowd can be nuts. OKC is the loudest, but not in a hostile way.

Damn Kyrie...7-7 from 3? Save if for the second half of the season. -
Josh Hamilton "I Don't Owe The Rangers Anything"
Cleveland's Finest replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Baseball Forum
The point is, it's not something you say a few weeks after you have a relapse that goes national, and your team stands beside you. And it is trolling if you include things that have nothing to do with the topic. -
Anybody remember the Rico character? Well..
Cleveland's Finest replied to Smitty's topic in MMA, Wrestling and Boxing Forum
Wow...of all people to have this gimmick. A few years ago they had a big scene with Drew and Mr. McMahon where Vince praised his potential...I forget the exact phrase...but my how far he has fallen. -
Josh Hamilton "I Don't Owe The Rangers Anything"
Cleveland's Finest replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Baseball Forum
And the trolling continues. And he's redeemed himself, but how long ago was it that he got back to drinking? Only a few weeks ago. Point is, after something like that, it's too soon to say something like that. -
Josh Hamilton "I Don't Owe The Rangers Anything"
Cleveland's Finest replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Baseball Forum
He obviously doesn't understand his duties as a professional athlete. He's been great on the field, but off the field he's a terrible role model. Yet he thinks he's done his job perfectly.... The Rangers have given him chance after chance, and they deserve praise from Hamilton. Instead, they get the exact opposite. -
D-League All-Star Game
Cleveland's Finest replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in NBA All-Star Weekend Archives
Hard to believe Gerald Green went from blowing out candles in the dunk contest to playing the the D-league game. He's still young, so hopefully he can make it back to the NBA. -
How good will/can Kyrie be?
Cleveland's Finest replied to Check my Stats's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
I don't have any expectations yet but I see him being a Chris Paul type player with a little more emphasis on scoring than passing. I'm not saying he's there just yet, but I see his pace during games and it reminds me of Paul. He has some really slick moves and is a lot better at jump shooting than I expected. He's a great finisher at the rim too, especially in the big moments of games. I'm pretty sure he's in the top 25 in points per fourth quarter, which is very impressive. He's an all-around point guard, which is great to have going forward. I have no clue what the Cavs are considering doing going forward. They have big decisions facing them: whether to keep Varejao, whether to be active in free agency or focus more on the draft, etc. Personally, I'd love to see us keep Gee because Kyrie and him seem to play well together. If Gee turns into the player I think he could, that could be a really good backcourt moving forward. Since Varejao will probably be gone by the time we are contender material (hopefully we get there), we'll probably need a scoring big man for Tristan to play off. That leaves the hole at small forward, which is something we can go for in either the draft or free agency. I think how good Kyrie can be will be determined once the Cavs plan is in place. Maybe 2 years from now...but for now, I'm enjoying his game. Great kid, great future ahead. edit - Judging by how many times I used "great", goes to show how I feel about him on AND off the court. -
If we could make some home videos and combine them and make it like a NBA commercial...that'd be pretty sweet.
