Kyrie's best game yet...at one point he went on a 12-0 run by himself in the 2nd quarter, which was part of a 24-8 run. Anderson continues to play unbelievably...it truly is a pleasure to watch him play. He knows how to make an impact in this game. Cavs go to 2-2 on this 6 game road trip, with a trip to LA and Charlotte remaining...if we can win at least one of those, presumably at Charlotte, that would be a great sign. This team is buying in to everything, from Coach Scott to Kyrie...and it's great to watch it unfold. Win or lose, they are being competitive and giving their all.

Cleveland at Portland

Frustrating game...we were in it until halfway through the third quarter. We made it 57-53, then the sloppy turnovers started happening more and we shot more desperation threes since they were cold from there. Just an ugly game...but Varejao continues to show he's one of the best defenders in the league. He had a beautiful pass to to the basket to a cutting Kyrie...he can do so many things and is so highly underrated. Casspi is not scoring enough, and Gee should get more playing time until Omri gets back to form. -
Delonte West goes on Twitter Rant
Cleveland's Finest replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
The writer is Brian Windhorst, who wrote for the Plain Dealer and then left to work for ESPN and write about the Heat...when LBJ went to Miami. I'm pretty sure he went to St. Vincent St. Mary...a lot of people viewed him differently when he left to cover LeBron, but I still follow him on Twitter...he's certainly a respectable writer and I love to read his articles. -
Here are the tweets: https://twitter.com/#!/alexascimone/status/156026379530539010/photo/1/large Full Story This is very sad...I really hope Delonte can get help. I hope someone does something to help him before this gets worse. He really is a great player and has shown signs of being a good person

Keep in mind this is the second game of a back to back for Charlotte also....smh

The Raptors just own us...again, they hit every big shot they needed to keep the Cavs out of it. I underestimated the improvements they made...maybe it's the new coach.

Wow...I'd hate to back out of my prediction, but the Knicks look like a complete joke...one thing I forgot when picking them to win it all...Melo and Amare have no intangibles...Melo had Chauncey in Denver, and Amare had Nash in Phoenix...now I see what a terrible team this is. You can have all the star power you want, but until they start playing like a team with focus, you'll get this.

Josh Smith took too many stupid jump shots...will he ever learn?

Atlanta is the most unpredictable team...at moments they bring the worst out of their opponents and look scarily good, but they can also get blown out and not show up... This could be the year they break through and get a top 3 seed.

Charlotte at Cleveland
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Only watched the final quarter, but saw a highlight of Kyrie's block...just the way a certain someone used to run down blocks for the Cavs. Yet again the bench closed the game out...it's unbelievable. Never thought I'd see Kyrie, Antawn, AP, Casspi, and Varejao on the bench so much during the fourth, but hey, it's working. After Toronto and Minnesota, it gets tough, so if we can get at least one win in the next two games, that'd be great. -
Portland at LA Clippers

I don't get why Portland didn't hack Jordan and send him to the line down the stretch....Crawford looked great for them. -
New Jersey at Cleveland
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Huge win...the bench was great again, Boobie had 19 including 5 threes, and Gee continues his improvement. Thompson had some great blocks, but needs to improve his free throw shooting. Jamison had his best game of the year with 23, and Varejao and Irving were solid. Didn't think this would happen, but we have so much depth. At any night. Gee, Sessions, Boobie, Thompson, or Samuels can score in double figures off the bench. At 2-2, our next three opponents are Charlotte, Toronto, and Minnesota. Very good chance to improve our record, and I hope they take advantage. -
This will be remembered for one thing: Kyrie Irving missing what would've been a game-winning layup after getting past the defenders. We were up the whole first half, then went down by double digits before getting back to tie the game. We had the last possession in regulation, and Irving missed the layup, leading to an OT loss. They got home ames against New Jersey and Charlotte up next before a long road trip. It would be great if they could win both of those.

New York at LA Lakers

The Knicks have a lot of work to do....that was some ugly basketball. Your three leaders all got technicals...yeah, they scored in double figures, but the offense looked horrific. I picked them to win it all this year because I think when Baron is healthy and the others get used to playing together, they'll look great. But they also need to get their heads straight and stop getting technicals. The Lakers looked good and Mike Brown can hopefully make a better name for himself in LA. -
Most Exciting Team to Watch
Cleveland's Finest replied to TheNotoriousBANG's topic in General NBA Discussion
The Thunder...from Durant's talent to Westbrook's dunks to Ibaka's blocks to Harden's shooting to the physicality of Collison and Perkins, this team is extremely fun to watch. The Westbrook/Durant drama, fake or not, makes it more exciting. -
Oklahoma City at Memphis
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
What about a trade for Dwight Howard? Westbrook and Perkins for Howard? The Thunder have a pretty solid point guard in Eric Maynor and could sign or trade for another. -
What a game. After not even playing in the opener due to not being in good enough shape yet, Samardo came off the bench to lead the team in scoring with 17 points and did a great job defending Greg Monroe. Byron Scott left the starters on the bench the whole fourth quarter as our bench took control. The difference in this game was the bench, as Brandon Knight was the only guy to score off the bench for Detroit. Kyrie looked much better and is doing a better job of controlling each possession, but there were still too many turnovers. Jamison was much more efficient than in the opener. He didn't throw up as many contested jumpers. The starting lineup still has work to do though, as Casspi and Parker are not scoring as much as they should. Varejao was just awesome. He had so many hustle plays and his pick and roll game with Kyrie looked good. Finally, Tristan Thompson looks like a stud. Averaging 11 points and 4.5 rebounds in his first two games, though against Toronto and Detroit, he is tough and knows how to play the game. Very happy to get a win with a big road challenge coming up at Indiana on Friday.

https://twitter.com/#!/PDcavsinsider Nice to see him back in the Cavs organization. His offseason injury prevented him from battling for the final roster spot with Mychel Thompson, who eventually won the spot. Hopefully he gets a chance to play for the Cavs this season. Edit - The Canton Charge is the Cavs new D-league team for those who don't know.

LA Lakers at Sacramento
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in Sacramento Kings Team Forum
Watched some of this game, and I really enjoy watching DeMarcus Cousins. He had so much passion during the game, almost too much...he's got every tool to be a top center in this league and it looks like he really improved this year. Kings look like this year's Grizzlies with all the depth. Thornton was a steal when they acquired him from NOH. They might have too much depth at PF though...Jason Thompson and JJ Hickson should be starting, and both are coming off the bench? As for LA...they'll make the playoffs, but they need to make a big trade now...the dynamic of this team is not one that gets you into the WCF let alone the finals. They should've pulled the trigger on that Melo deal last year. -
Toronto at Cleveland
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Kind of annoyed that Coach Scott put in the starting unit for the final 6 minutes after the secondary unit made it a 3 point game. Tristan looked awesome...if someone told me he would score 14 I'd be pretty surprised. He's got a heck of a word ethic. Jamison went 6 for 20 and Casspi/Parker were not up to par, so Irving had a tough time working with those guys. Gee looked solid and I really think we should play him more. I think he can be a good player in this league. And how can I forget Sessions...great play...showed why he should be starting maybe. Boobie was solid also. Whenever it felt like we could finally tie the game, the Raptors made the shots they needed to to make it a 4 or 6 point game, so we never really had a chance to get back in it. Overall frustrating...but the crowd was great and looking forward to getting a win. -

Official Predictions: East and West Standings
Cleveland's Finest replied to JYD's topic in General NBA Discussion
I have a hard time in that I have to be optimistic lol. I saw some analysts actually had Philly winning the division. Maybe I am underestimating them, but they really didn't do anything to get better in the offseason. At least Milwaukee got better with Jackson, Udrih, and Bogut returning. -
Official Predictions: East and West Standings
Cleveland's Finest replied to JYD's topic in General NBA Discussion
I think Iggy could be traded, they don't have a big man, and they have too many guys who handle the ball... Logically though, I'd pick Philly or Milwaukee at the 8 seed over the rest. However, I just picked my team bc I have a hard time not seeing them there.
