  1. Read More When I looked at the bracket for the contest, I thought it was neat that every team had a player, and when Hillis beat Ray Rice in the first round, I was shocked. I never thought he would win the whole contest. There's so much irony in all of this. As a young teen, I was always wondering when LeBron would be on the cover of NBA Live or 2k. I just thought it would be cool to see a Cleveland team represented. After he left, all I heard is how the city has no star for any teams.....how ironic that the following year, a Browns player becomes the first player from a Cleveland team to be on the cover of the most popular video game, Madden. What's even more crazy...no one even knew who he was when we got him last offseason for Brady Quinn. Four years ago when we drafted Brady, a lot of people saw him as the future QB of our team. It's just so weird how we got Hillis and he broke out last year. There was a stretch during last season where he was unstoppable (when we beat New Orleans, New England, and almost beat New York). I feel great for Peyton and great for the city that the fans voted for him. He's such a hard worker and very dedicated to bring his best every game. Blue-collar player which fits in Cleveland perfectly.
  2. Yes, it's a dynasty. They didn't have a single off-year like LA did when they got eliminated in the 1st round. To win 3 rings in 5 years is extremely difficult. It shows that even when they didn't win it all, they still stuck to the big three to win the other two rings.
  3. When CP3 plays at his MVP level, the Hornets have won 2 games this series. He has to be big tonight, he has to hit threes and control the game.
  4. Atl mailed it in....hopefully it's because they are confident they can close out in Game 6.
  5. D-Rose is like LeBron from three....when he's hot, he's hot and can make 3-4 in a quarter...but when he's cold, he goes on huge droughts (went 0-44 at one point during the season).
  6. Ankle problems or not, the Hornets deserve to win this game.
  7. Very smart keeping Jack on the floor. Very scrappy and I trust him to make the right decisions over Marco.
  8. Unfortunately, I sense Derek Fisher making a huge shot soon.
  9. I understood swapping VC for Arenas for more clutch gene, but Rashard Lewis was one of their advantages over teams like Atlanta. He was athletic and could hit the three, so he could counter a Joe Johnson or a Josh Smith. I still don't get why they tore the team that made the finals apart. Other than adding Brandon Bass, every other move they've made since that finals appearance hasn't been beneficial. Losing Courney Lee, Rafer Alston, Gortat etc..
  10. I'm just saying New York should've looked at how beneficial it would be to wait for Melo in FA as opposed to just get him right away and trade your assets/players away. If Chauncey and Amare were healthy, the series might be closer, but was this whole deal worth it in hindsight?
  11. They wouldn't need an epic performance from Melo if they had Felton, Gallo, and Chandler. They would've still made it a game and because of more options, guys like Fields and Williams would play better. More quality players as opposed to a star and a bunch of bench players has a better chance at winning IMO.
  12. Was it really worth trading for Melo at the deadline as opposed to just waiting for him come free agency? They would've definitely competed more in the playoffs due to more depth, and had the possibility to keep some of those players they lost in the deal. Also, they would have all the draft picks they traded away. Now, once they sign Melo to his max deal and keep Chauncey, they really don't have much room for error. With less draft picks, each free agent they sign has to be a hit. And what's with the Knick fans clapping at the end of the game? If I was a Knick fan I'd be pissed off at how they played in the two home games. Anthony Carter played awesome...too bad he hasn't had more opportunities.
  13. Also, Evan Turner was huge today. Hopefully Philly plays him more in Game 5. Great sign for his future.
  14. What's with the Seattle Sonic fans/gear right behind the OKC bench? Also, Felton missed THREE straight FTs? Good game by Birdman and Nene. JR has had some moments, but they need his best in this fourth quarter.
  15. Normally I'd say Chicago could easily rebound from this loss and take Game 5, but the Pacers have been in every game and should have won at least one of those three first games. So I see them again making it close in Game 5 and who knows if they can finally finish one on the road. And I've never seen that many fans from the road team at a playoff game.
  16. He chose number 23, he chose the MJ chalk powder toss, he guaranteed championships...so why is he trying to downplay all of this and act as though he was merely a player? Although, after all the failures in the playoffs and all the excuses that followed them, maybe he should be labeled merely as a player. And when will he shut up? I actually kinda got over his ass and here he goes again.
  17. Found an interesting thing in the stats: The Knicks were -27 with Melo on the court and -34 with Amare, while being +10 with Anthony Carter, +13 with Shawne Williams, and +6 with Bill Walker.
  18. New Orleans is playing hard, but Landry's early 2 fouls hurt them in the first quarter. Aaron Grey doesn't need to be as good as he was in game 1, but he needs to get involved more on the boards.
