  1. Jazz can make the playoffs, but are out of the running. The Thunder, with Perkins, and the Blazers, with Wallace, will slug it out. Denver will be close behind both teams but I think it'll come down to OKC and Portland. OKC has a somewhat easier schedule the rest of the way, so I see them winning it, with Portland finishing 2nd, Denver 3rd, and the Jazz 4th, and probably missing out on the playoffs.
  2. Tonight, JJ played against Amare. Now, we all recall the Cavs decision to keep JJ, rejecting a possible trade which would have swapped JJ with Amare last season. Both had great games tonight, each posting 5 blocks and a double-double. In the past two months, he's averaged 13 and 17 respectively, along with 10 rebounds per game. This season, he's had 29 blocks the last two months, after starting with 8 blocks in the first three months. He's also averaging around 1 more offensive rebound per game than last season. Last year, he averaged 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds. Most noticeably, JJ has 14 double doubles this year, as opposed to his 4 last season (started in 73 games last year; 41 starts this season). If he keeps up his recent success, he should finish the season averaging around 14-15 points, along with 8 rebounds around. Is he a candidate for Most Improved Player of the year? Is this season an indication of a bright future?
  3. Make that 5-3 in games I've gone too! Another playoff-like atmosphere. Gee played big minutes after not having played for weeks. Knicks had 44 free throws....Billups had all 26 of his points in the second half. Knicks -11 w/Amare on the floor, -6 w/Melo on the floor. Finally, the Cavs haven't lost to the Knicks this year (2-0). The Knicks and Clippers are the only teams yet to have beaten the Cavs yet. See you Sunday, Baron!
  4. As long as they can get Powe, the deal keeps them just as physical as they were before if all the bigs are healthy for the playoffs. They have a shooting big man for the first time since PJ Brown, and we all know how well that worked out for them. Green will be sort of like Posey.
  5. It took 5 years for the WWE to realize that all Cena needed to keep his previous character that won him over in the first place. Every wrestler needs an edge, and Cena hasn't had one...it's been just being super hero.
  6. You saw my posts during last year's Boston series. I called him out....I wasn't riding this guy his whole time in Cle.
  7. Are the Heat and Celtics purposely trying to screw their teams up?
  8. The Cavs got another lottery pick for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon...that's a steal to me

  9. LBJ, as the Rock would say....KNOW YOUR ROLE and BE ROBIN, NOT BATMAN.
  10. What are the odds that James passes it to House or Jones for the final shot?
  11. Heat now 1-7 vs. top five (?) teams. Heat fans shouldn't be too happy seeing LBJ chuck up a three in one of the recent possessions.
  12. Chicago played last night and is still getting used to Noah back in the rotation, so this rough start is expected.
  13. Orlando...they needed to get a big man. Whether it be a trade for Zach Randolph or find a quality backup center, they really needed more size. Boston got younger with Green and Powe, and the Hawks and Knicks changed up their teams. The Magic had to do something, because Arenas doesn't look like he'll provide much consistency as a go-to guy each night. The Lakers needed to make some kind of move to bolster its bench. The bench just isn't that good anymore. Vujacic and Farmar did provide stability that they don't really have now.
  14. http://twitter.com/#!/SamAmicoFSO I'm sure he'll be healthy now, but as a Cav...well, it seems like he never was a Cav...played around 30 games in 2 seasons? Played a key role in maybe 5-10 of those?
  15. They got off to such a bad start. The Cavs started off solid and won TWO games against this team in quite an impressive fashion. I was stunned that they turned this around. They are competing in every game and winning on the road. Who knows, maybe they can challenge a team in the playoffs if they can somehow leap past Atl or Nyk...not impossible.
  16. Now THIS will be a quality game. Go Bulls!
  17. I'll be at this one! 4-3 in games I've gone too....hopefully the Cavs can keep their competitive streak going! I wonder if Baron or any of the new guys will be there...and it'll be crazy weird with no Mo or Moon now...
  18. Apparently, Baron apologized to Coach Scott for his attitude in New Orleans, when the Clips came here last week. So maybe Scott and Davis can work something. But Sessions will start...he's the best thing going right now for us...so I wonder what happens. Sessions at SG?
  19. Imo the Celtics are being very smart. Perkins is young, but he's made it known he'll entertain leaving so why not get something for him? Green adds needed depth at the forward position, and they get Krstic, who's sort of like Ilgauskas. They had too many centers with no range. The Celtics are getting picks, young players, and cash; they are being smart preparing themselves for the eventual exit of the big three. Rondo, Green, is a good core for the future as opposed to being left with only Rondo and Perkins leaving. For the Thunder, this gives them great advantage with size. Perkins is as tough as any center in the West. But I don't know how they fill Green's absence. How weird that Green winds up in Boston after his draft rights were traded to Seattle.
  20. Is Baron even going to play here? All I'm hearing about is his misery since finding out about the trade.
  21. Good move because we finally get another center. Since Verajao's been down, we've played with only one true center in Hollins. Harangody and Erden are both very active, so that's good...it's not like we gave up anything of value. We'll still have picks in 2013. Harangody is almost the same as Samardo except with better range, so they'll be fighting for minutes.
  22. We get a top ten pick, and somehow got rid of Mo before he was in the final year of his contract? I'm fine with this.
  23. Another tough loss...it really isn't that impossible for the Knicks to catch the Magic. The Knicks play them twice and if they win tonight they are only 5.5 out.
