  1. Ok, but in the end, if we had notification of him leaving, we'd be able to make a move while a majority of free agents were still available. By July 8th, most of the above-average names were gone. And as I said, we could find a third team to get more out of the deal than just a trade exception. Bottom line is, there'd be more opportunities.
  2. We could've traded for Beasley while he was still there...also could've found a third trading partner to get rid of Mo/Jamison, etc. and have more things to work with as we restart.
  3. It's half and half. 60% LeBron, 40% Cavs. On one hand, LeBron made an effort to completely insult the Cavs organization by not letting them know of his whereabouts before his show, after the royal treatment they gave him. If they knew, they could've made moves before. Also, LeBron hand picked this team. Every player on those Cavs teams he picked. So don't whine about him not having a few top ten players to play with. Now, Dan Gilbert has been hiding for two months, hasn't shown his face, and fans are pissed. They didn't have a backup plan, and that's terrible for an owner of a pro-team. This is almost the dagger to Cav fans. They get screwed by their "hero", and now the man who spoke up for them at one time is now hiding.
  4. UP TEN! The Memphis crowd is terrible, no offense. They just be the Magic, now over.500, yet it's empty. Games like this give me hope for JJ...already 11 points, 7 boards, but the problem is consistency. He's going up against Gasol, Randolph, and Thabeet, and I'm very impressed. And Parker has really come back from this injury looking like a new player the past few games. Handling the ball much more, he's been a good leader on the court.
  5. Up 32-26 after the 1st...they want to win this one. They can do it! Go Cavs!
  6. Orlando fouling LBJ on purpose to get him his 50....ESPN now gonna have an [expletive] kissing fest. And I can't take this villain crap anymore...srsly, we're supposed to be afraid of him now?
  7. Nothing new....the Cavs are worst in the league at "defending" the three. That's a compliment, though, as the Cavs don't defend it. They simply lose their man and leave someone open. Teams have their best shooting nights of the year against us. Eyenga's becoming a solid defender, but besides Varejao, there really isn't much defense on this team. Byron Scott fully focusing on offense heading into the season didn't help.
  8. OSU now 23-0! And watch out for Cleveland State. 21-3 after a win at home against Valpo, which is second to CSU in the Horizon League. Up next, huge home game hosting Butler Sunday. If they win Sunday, they might get an automatic bid. This team deserves some recognition. The point guard Norris Cole will probably go to the pros. At least there's some good basketball in Cleveland. Go Vikes! The third of my Ohio teams, Akron, is now 12-10. After starting off conference play with a huge home win against Kent State (which I attended), it's been pretty ugly. Only upside is the MAC tournament. It's anybody's game come tourney time.
  9. The Lakers have lost enough big games at this point in the season to make this a must-win. However, I'm rooting for the Spurs!
  10. This game has taken Orlando out of the top three in the East. To me, now it's the Bulls, Heat, and Celtics as the elite teams, then the Magic, Hawks, and Knicks on the second level. Makes the race to the three seed most important as the Bulls, Magic, and Hawks try to avoid facing one another in the playoffs. Orlando has no leadership and no toughness. Dwight, despite his power and athleticism, has displayed no leadership, at least from what I've seen.
  11. What does it say about the NBA when only 6 of the 15 teams in the East have a representative.
  12. JJ is so hopeless...he still travels every game and loses the ball too much, as if he's a rookie still. Get him outta here. Gotta be happy about Eyenga, Harris, and Sessions...they have a future here. Only negative is hearing ESPN talk further [expletive] about the "post-LeBron" Cavs.
  13. I love these guys....Harris, Eyenga, Twan, Ramon...workin' their asses off for a win.
  14. It was 38-33 after an Alonzo Gee dunk, and we had the momentum, then the Pacers go on an 11-3 run! Are you kidding me?
  15. It took awhile to start making shots, but now it's a game. The Cavs are playing hard, 38-31.
  16. http://www.billboard.com/photos/stylus//503473-guccimane_tattoo_617x617.jpg Read More Saw this on PTI....how could you live your whole life with that on your face?
  17. Now that a majority of our road games are done, and we have 9 home games, 2 road games this month, I think the Cavs will be relaxed and excited to be home and play in front of its fans. I really think we'll win this. Indiana's been so inconsistent. But I don't know if there will be many fans there. Attendance has dropped each and every game, and the roads have been pretty bad.
  18. Cavs/Wizards will be interesting...who wants to end their streak more? I know, Cavs have a chance to end it tomorrow home to Indy, and I hope they do...but I could see us losing every game until the Wizards game.
  19. I read online that it's The Undertaker returning...that'd be awesome if it was Sting though.
  20. As much as I like the NBA, I really think David Stern will be surprised at the lack of care most fans have if the NBA has a lockout. If there was a lockout in the NFL, there'd be a huge uproar. I mean, if there was no basketball in Cleveland next year, I can tell you that only the die hard fans would care. And that's not many....same can be said for teams like Minnesota, Milwaukee, Indiana, Sacramento, etc... Only in LA, Miami, Utah, OKC, Boston, Orlando, San Antonio, and maybe Chicago can I see a large majority of fans who would be upset.
