  1. The past few years, LA has been dominant in these openers. So I expect to see the same. It'll be nice to see Yao back in a Rockets uniform and on the court.
  2. I'm rooting for Boston. A close game in which Boston wins IMO gives Cleveland the best chance of beating Boston the following night. I'm pumped to see this game. As much as I hate the Heat, I'm just as excited to see how they play. And to see LBJ vs. the Celtics will be interesting. And then Delonte back in a Celtics uniform.
  3. I'm not gonna lie, that is a good commercial. I'm indifferent though. However, if he didn't handle everything the way he did and followed up with this comemrcial, I'd be tempted to still like him. But since that's now how it all played out, I see right through this subliminal message. I know the type of person he is, and he's right - he isn't a role model.
  4. Lmao...you think they are that good? What have Davis and Kaman done in the past two years to impress you? Shaq is better too...2nd team all NBA two years ago, Kaman doesn't have his presence, never will.
  5. No matter who we got, if we couldn't get Dwayne Wade or another top 5 star, nothing was good enough. LeBron needed to play with the sun, the moon, and the stars. The trade is meh....people overrate Baron Davis. He's done nothing in Los Angeles and there's no sign of him being an all-star again. If we did the trade and LeBron stayed, people would still blame the "lack" of help for LeBron.
  6. Tampa Bay has beaten St. Louis, Cleveland, Cincinatti, and Carolina. They were beaten badly by Pittsburgh and New Orleans. So take little stock in their 1st place run.
  7. This is a good idea. I brought up the idea of a monthly OTR magazine a year ago...we could do something like this but a lot longer and talk about sports, the forum, etc..
  8. Winning 10-0! Josh Cribbs caught a punt return and passed it to the other side of the field to Eric Wright for a 55 yd. return. Got a field goal for that drive. Never seen something like that. And Cribbs got the pass interference which took us to the red zone, then Hillis got the TD. Crbbs a key part for both scores, shows his value. Go Browns!
  9. I meant Howard shouldn't have taken the pitch and let the umpire determine if it was a strike or not. He should've kept swinging at that point.
  10. Wow. Never let the umpire determine a pitch of that magnitude. Howard should've kept hitting.
  11. I meant at least above average or better. Such as the Celtics. They didn't have a player starting who was the best at their position by a landslide last year. All all-star caliber.
  12. Why would you take on a guy who's just as morally corrupt and self-serving anyways? I think we need to build around a team like Boston and San Antonio. Above Average at all positions with depth. Not one star determining how each player is used.
  13. ESPN is such a joke. Of course they still are chronicling the troubles in Cleveland sports, watching over us and making ignorant comments for their own pleasure. It's so blatant and they get away with it. Nothing about the Cavs has to do with the cover; only LeBron and how they depict the team to be. "The Unamazing Cavaliers"? Really? You could say that for about 20 other teams. They are just using these "creative" ideas to take more low-blow shots at Cleveland.
  14. The Hornets just should've kept Collison and traded CP3. Right now, they've gotten Ariza, Pargo, and now Bayless this offseason while trading a 1st & Collison and possibly CP3. I don't think they are handling this correctly.
  15. I don't want Melo or CP3 in Cleveland. They are Bron's buds. They are just like him. Only way I'd accept building around one player is if he was Kevin Durant.
  16. You know what, I take back what I said. I forgive you, man.
  17. That's all fine and dandy, but LeBron doesn't need to shove his motivation in our face. Saying he's taking names and now posting this. I've never seen an athlete keep talking about why he's going to be motivated. That's stuff you keep to yourself. Be humble.
  18. This is going to be very interesting to watch. Also, Delonte and Shaq will be returning to Cleveland so the applauses they get will be cool to hear. I think we have a chance because remember Boston is coming off a back to back with Miami to open the season, so they'll be fatigued. At the same time, Boston always starts well in the season. To me, it's a toss up. Very excited though to finally see some basketball.
  19. You think I don't like him because he left? If he decided to stay, then he would've been loyal, not had the free agency teams come visit, embraced Cleveland. It's a chain reaction. If it happened before 4 years into his career here I would be upset, because then I didn't see that type of person yet. But the three years after I really lost respect for him as a human being as time has passed, so I saw this coming. He's becoming a jerk more and more as his career progress. Becoming ignorant.
  20. LeBron uses one tweet and makes it seem as though everyone is racist. STFU already! Seriously, not every athlete gets this, only the ones who don't shut up. Am I condoning it? No, but he had it coming. You can't [expletive] on a city and expect to get a pass. And by the way, how many other athletes do you see posting the crap people send them? LeBron just wants attention, and look, it got on ESPN.
  21. Come on. The Indians lineup is not that great. Howard, Utley, Werth, Rollins, Polanco, Ruiz gimme that group of guys any game. Are you kidding me? Sure, during the regular season they had bad slumps, but in the past they've been solid in the postseason. I'm sure I'm forgetting some names too. Pretty much every single player is or has been an all-star.
  22. 8 players scored 10 or more points tonight, and Jamison didn't play. This team is a team, not the sideshow of LeBron. Seriously, this team plays as a team, and does not need 2 20 ppg guys. I'm convinced. Yeah I'm putting a lot of stock in these preseason games, maybe I'm a prisoner of the moment, but what I see is giving me belief that this can work. Am I saying this makes us an elite team? Hell no. But why isn't it good enough to contend with the Knicks and Bobcats for the 7-8 seed. The constant movement on offense is giving us a lot of production on the offensive end. Any guy on any given night can have ten or more points. And they are vastly improved on getting the ball in the paint and not relying on the three. The defense is average, but the defense shouldn't matter as much as long as they can wear out the opponent on the offensive end.
  23. I'm surprised they didn't review Cano's homerun. A shame the game has no solid replay yet.
