I was just listening to ESPNCleveland and they were saying how Harris got criticism on the OSU game and got a lot of racial stuff thrown at him. Rooting for him to come out and win and stick it to those people who had those comments.

Mo Williams considered retiring
Cleveland's Finest replied to magicbalala245's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
And as I said, it was all in the moment. It was tragic the first few days after and you know it. And LeBron's been a professional through this all? Mo has every right to show emotion. It's not like he's putting up videos of him crying on YouTube like Stephon Marbury. He's not cussing or wishing harm to LeBron. And he's not Delonte in that he won't have off court trouble or show any sense of being bipolar. He's just a normal human being. He's not being extreme at all. Just posting what he feels on twitter. If you seriously see him becoming some controversial figure where he plays like a slouch during the season, well, I just haven't seen any of that in Mo his career here so I consider this a short term, in the moment thing. (Like Dan Gilbert's message to LBJ) -
If da bears beat packers next monday night..
Cleveland's Finest replied to reno's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
No...Packers are missing both starting corners (Bigby and Harris) and still would only be one game behind them. So I still think they aren't NFC North favorites. Way too early in the season. And remember, they could've lost to Detroit. However, winning in Dallas in a hostile environment and coming back from a close win in Detroit is very impressive. Also, starting 2-0 with both of those games on the road is impressive. Cutler looks better with a year under his belt. A win here makes them look good momentarily, but I still have the Saints at the top of the NFC until taken down. Bears though look like a playoff team. Here's my top 6 teams in the NFC: 1. Saints 2. Packers 3. Bears 4. Falcons 5. Redskins 6. Eagles -
Mo Williams considered retiring

You are giving LeBron the benefit of the doubt but not too Mo here. I'm happy Mo felt how we felt and didn't say "He did what was best for him and his family." Until we see Mo play, we can't judge this. Am I saying he'll score 20 ppg? no. But that doesn't mean he can't be effective. Like it or not, he wound up an all star. When he was with Milwaukee he obviously was talented, you can't make it seem like the Cavs had no talent other than LeBron. That's so overblown. When LBJ had his announcement, as always with anything tragic, people behave irrationally. Mo showed his feelings and is talking about it in retrospect. I'm not nervous about him moving forward. -

So Mo was riding LeBron but now LeBron is riding Wade and Riley. Maybe Mo is mad because he thought LeBron was a leader and never saw that in him. -

I want this kind of emotion. This emotion must translate on the court and Cav fans want to see that. -
I like the Blazers the best. Miller is the passing point guard, Roy is the all star shooting guard who leads the team and takes the clutch shots, Batum is very versatile and stretches the floor, good defender and good length, Aldridge is the prototypical power forward with good range and puts up consistent numbers, and then Oden at Center, who is solid in the post and has the strength. They also have Pryzbilla and Camby who have proved to be solid substitutes due to Oden's injuries. Then off the bench you have Bayless who adds speed and a nice change of pace from when Miller's on the floor. Wes Matthews also, who was fantastic last year starting for Utah. Then you have Pendergraph and Cunningham who are solid backups as well.

Michigan should have gone down a few after that terrible defensive showing vs. UMass. Iowa went down a lot. Looks like Big Ten could come down to OSU/Wisconsin now. Not counting Iowa out totally yet though.

Oregon has been outstanding. LaMichael James is probably the best running back in CFB. I saw one of his big runs where he broke a lot of tackles and somehow got a TD in that 69-0 blowout. Imo the top two teams are Oregon and Arizona. Arizona was a lot better than I thought in that Iowa game. USC and Stanford are also factors but I think the two teams I mentioned will be the best in the conference in the end. Great conference though.

Cavs offer Jawad Williams qualifying order.

Just got a text that Jawad signed with us. Jawad, Jamario, and Joey Graham will compete for the starting job at SF. At least depth isn't a problem. :-/ -

Don't want to waste my time venting on this game. Same old story. He's been such a douche the people won't even care by the time he announces he's leaving. Sort of like Bosh. Still hate "King" James more.

I'm going to this game...hopefully it's a winner. Imo, this game determines how the season goes. If we lose this game, we could start 0-7 because we have a tough schedule after this. If we win, who knows what can happen. Hopefully the QB problem is solved and Josh Cribbs can redeem himself from last week. -
Worst losses suffered as a fan?
Cleveland's Finest replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
Nothing is more depressing than the Boston series last year. So here are mine: National Championship Games Buckeyes/Gators Buckeyes/LSU Regular Season Buckeyes/USC - both losses Buckeyes/Penn St. two years ago Cavs/Celtics Games 2, 4, 5, 6 last playoffs Cavs/Magic Game 1, 6 two years ago playoffs Indians/Red Sox Games 5,6,7 of 07' playoffs -
I got the PS3 demo and the only thing you can really see that's new is some of the presentation changes in the intro. The game feels the same as last year, but the speed of the players is different, just something to get used to. Some of the new animations were cool, but really hard to see anything especially new. Just gotta wait for the main game. One gripe from last year is the frame rate issue last year which made the game almost unplayable at times.

Carmelo dodges question on Nuggets
Cleveland's Finest replied to magicbalala245's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
LeBron's got the numbers, but no leadership at all. He quit the final few minutes of Game 6, and all of those turnovers. And no superstar ever EVER would have a game like Game 5. For all we know he could've staged this. Durant has shown much more leadership and consistency. And he's so young. You see how he lead Team USA and how he handles his business quietly, focusing on the game of basketball. It's always hard to tell what motivates LeBron or if he really is into it, but you can tell Durant is into basketball. He's got that instinct that Kobe has. -
The Lakers and Celtics filled holes where they lacked. LA now has a much better bench. However, they need a backup big. Ratliff won't do. Boston got two bigs to play during Perkins absence, and has Delonte West coming off the bench. Tony Allen's loss does hurt though. Both teams were elite last year, and their moves this offseason kept them elite.

Carmelo dodges question on Nuggets
Cleveland's Finest replied to magicbalala245's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
Only once in seven years he's gotten past the first round, yet he thinks he's a top five player in the league. -
It's amazing seeing how some people act. He's a very intriguing character who just doesn't get it. And when he walks off the court following a playoff elimination, that'll be the first moment where he realizes that he needs to fix himself before he can win a title.

Grades are in! NBA Summer Report Card

Cavs can't really help what happened. They were held hostage and treated in the lowest form of being treated. Because of that, they couldn't make a move before it was to late. -

I'm going to this one. It's gonna be awesome. It would suck to lose this coming off a big home loss to USC last year. It's up to the QB and running game. The defense is consistent, but when we get production from Boom Herron and Brandon Saine, like in the Oregon bowl game last year, we are unstoppable. And of course, Pryor needs to be at least above average and no turnovers.
