  1. Jamison put up 25-30 a night as a first option during his tenure with Washington while they had Caron and Gilbert injured on and off. Still don't see Moon starting. Cavs want to sign and trade Shaq for Marvin, sign Dunleavy, or get another SF.
  2. Jamison was 6th man of the year. If you think Hickson won't start then wow. People were miserable when we didn't start him in the playoffs. Why would they put him back on the bench and halt his development. And I did say Jamison would play clutch minutes. Like Al Harrington coming off bench for NY. You make it seem like the Knicks are so much better than the Cavs. The East still has plenty of mediocre teams. I'm not worried about us competing in the playoff run in the least. You're coming off as though you think the Knicks will beat the Cavs by double digit every time they face each other.
  3. I remember when Billups missed a few clutch free throws against the Cavs during a playoff series and we were going crazy. It was a game in Detroit.
  4. His brother played for us awhile ago. Good signing imo. He did go off in one playoff game I remember during the Denver/Utah series. He had 21 points I just researched.. Solid veteran to add.
  5. I expect Sessions to start at point guard, with Mo starting shooting guard. The Cavs added Christian Eyenga, who is very, very athletic and will add a spark to this bench. I expect our starting lineup to be: PG: Ramon Sessions SG: Mo Williams SF: (We don't have a starting SF, so I expect us to sign and trade Shaq for Marvin Williams possibly) PF: JJ Hickson C. Ryan Hollins Bench: Jamison, Verajao, Boobie, Eyenga, Samuels, Moon Then during clutch points in the game, I'd have Jamison at SF, Andy at C. Jamison > Gallinari, and Verajao > Randolph. And Felton/Mo or Felton/Sessions is debatable. Byron Scott has a lot of players that work nicely with the Princeton offense. A lot of players can get up and down the court and run. Added a lot of youth. Great depth. We saw what he made of Tyson Chandler, so let's see what he can do with Ryan Hollins, who has the same frame. I know there was Chris Paul, but Sessions and Mo aren't that much worse. People forget how good Antawn was last year before he was traded to the Cavs. Anderson would start on most teams in the league. Boobie was third in 3 point percentage last season, and has shot over .400 from three in all but one season in his career. With more playing time finally, he'll have some huge games probably. Hickson was awesome in the summer league. The Cavs have a culture of winning. Besides Amare and Felton's experience of a 4 game sweep, what type of winning culture do the Knicks have. Also, the Knicks don't have the devastation of a city surrounding them night in and night out to bring back faith and hope. And if you think Randolph is 20/10, the I have a right to saw Hickson will be 20/10. Btw, if you think Parker and Moon will start next year, then you are in over your heads. I mean, if worse comes to worse, but the Cavs will find a SF. Be it Dunleavy or Marvin or who else.
  6. Yeah, I was going to suggest that. Make threads for your own promos. And if you want to respond to a promo in character, respond in that thread and then the two or more wrestlers could have a huge promo back and forth for over a page.
  7. LeBron's boys told ESPN to take this off. ESPN is such a joke. Also, there's a story of LBJ flicking off a radio host from Cleveland who saw him at Las Vegas. The radio host said only kind words, and LBJ flipped him off. http://www.fox8.com/news/wjw-king-txt,0,780109.story We are truly learning about the kind of human being he is.
  8. Are you kidding me? The Cavs have been a storied franchise. In the 90's with Mark Price, Larry Nance, Brad Daugherty. They had 56 wins one year and made the playoffs like 5-6 times during that period in the late 80's, mid-early 90's. Cleveland is a much better pro-sport city than Memphis or Toronto. And besides the KG era, the Timberwolves aren't much better. The Cavs are nowhere in the league you are putting them in. More storied/tenured franchise
  9. This guy was blatantly being an [expletive] though. I doubt LBJ will dance on the bench and be cocky. But then again, it is Prince James we're talking about.
  10. Well that will certainly play a role. If you suddenly say something out there that doesn't fit anything, that could hurt your chances. Professionalism is one of the most important things because it's what keeps your credibility at a certain place. That's why I think if I had someone write with me to help me determine who wins so it isn't solely me. That would make it easier.
  11. http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa312/Clevelands_Finest_album/otrgoldrush.jpg?t=1280375104 OTR Wrestling presents Gold Rush! The first presentation of Over The Ropes Wrestling will be a full pay per view. By the end of this show, the OTR World Champion will be determined. The championship chase for gold begins and ends on this night. Which competitor will roll through and win 3 matches? First Round Matchups A-Zim vs. Vincent Ajay vs. The Fish Jon Wyld vs. Luke Valentine Jae vs. Slava Semi-Finals Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2 Winner of Match 3 vs. Winner of Match 4 Finals (for the OTR World Championship) Winner of the First Semi-Final Match vs. Winner of the Second Semi-Final Match OOC: Now that you guys know who you're facing, start the promos/respond to promos to build your rep and give yourself the best chance at winning the title. Let the real games begin!
  12. I don't understand what you're asking, exactly. I will say that the quality of an rp and activity of a wrestler determine the success. If it's two successful, active wrestlers then the match will probably be close and long. If it's a good/active wrestler vs. an unactive, sloppy rp'er, the match will probably be short and you know who wins.
  13. Yeah, anyone's allowed to comment. I like this gimmick. Sort of like Shark Boy in TNA.
  14. Out of Character: The match in this is just a squash match. You guys can do this too against made up wrestlers who have nothing to do with this fed if you want to showcase your wrestler. -------------------- The Opening Act: Part 1 Scene: Independent Show leading up to OTR Wrestling's first pay per view The lights go out. "Burn in My Light" by Mercy Drive suddenly goes off and blue fireworks and out comes A-Zim. He hops around to get his blood flowing before walking down the entrance ramp. He high fives a few fans and slides into the ring under the bottom ropes. After a pose on the top turnbuckle, he descends back to the mat and asks for a mic. A-Zim: What is up?! *The crowd gives a small pop* A-Zim: First of all, I would like to introduce myself. Some of you may not know me, but that should change after my first match in the public eye. I am A-Zim. They call me "The Entertainer". I don't feel the need to go into further details. Rather, I'll show you. Bring out my opponent, please. A basic entrance song plays and a local wrestler by the name of Ryan David comes out. David is a normal built, 6 foot wrestler trying to make a name for himself. When both men are in the ring, the match begins. A-Zim vs. Ryan David The bell rings, and both men immediately lock up in the center of the ring. A-Zim has a better feel, and forces David into the corner, then he gets out of the lock up. A-Zim then gives a cold hard right handed punch right in David's face. Davis falls on his bottom and A-Zim backs off, looking at what he's just done. David tries to get back up, but A-Zim keeps him on the ground with a running kick to the back. A-Zim goes for the quick pin. 1...kickout. Zim picks up David, and irish whips him against the ropes. When David bounces off the ropes, A-Zim meets him with a kick to the gut, and then gives David a DDT straight to the mat. A-Zim then goes toward the corner, then proceeding to climb to the top turnbuckle, sizing up David. A-Zim jumps off the top ropes, going for an elbow drop to the heart of David, but David moves! Both men are on the ground now, and the referee begins his ten count. A few seconds later, both men are back on their feet, hobbling a little. David kicks A-Zim in the gut, and then backs off a bit. David then charges at Zim, going for a clothesline. A-Zim ducks it, runs toward the ropes, and springboards off the middle rope. As David turns around, he's met by a springboard moonsault from A-Zim which forces both men to the groun. A-Zim then gets back up and waits for David to get back to his feet. David gets up, A-Zim punches David in the forehead, and then picks him up, going for a sit-down power bomb called Lights Out, his signature move. He connects, and covers David. 1...........2..........3! Ring Announcer: The winner of the match via pinfall at 1:53, A-Zim! The local wrestler David rolls out of the ring and walks to the back. After A-Zim has his hands raised, he gets a mic and is waiting for the music to stop playing and for the crowd to quiet down. A-Zim: How was that for entertainment? The crowd gives a big pop. A-Zim: Well, if you think that was impressive, wait until I entertain you people with my talents in OTR Wrestling. You see, I am not nervous or reserved for this. I'm confident and excited. I'm ready to face bigger and better things. And no matter who I face in Round 1 of the tournament, I will bring it my all. No one brings it like "The Entertainer". Scene fades
  15. http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/media/court_1011_590.jpg http://www.nba.com/cavaliers/news/201011_court.html I like it. Going back to the wine and gold truly.

  17. When we play the Heat, imagine how awesome it would be for Hollins to do this on The Chosen 1/3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOO9GAJo03w
  18. No such thing. World will be dead for 5 years by that time. In all honesty though, I hope that it's dynamic in that if the Saints win the year after next they say three peat. Or if the Jags win two in a row they say repeat. Just so it isn't the same rehashed celebration. Still though, for each team to have dialogue for its first title is more than I would've expected.
  19. Holy Sh.. This is the type of stuff I expect from video games these days. Finally I see something I've waited for. I can only imagine what it looks like for the Browns. Get the chills thinking about it.
  20. A wrestling forum when I was 12. And a wrestling action figure forum around the same time. I was really into the WWE then. Once I joined psdcentral I saw how actively sports were discussed when I saw all the NBA boards affiliated with it. Then I was most active at Top Sports Talk forums before it ended and I found OTR. I don't know if any TST members are active on this forum anymore.
  21. 1. Miami Heat - This is easy. 2 of the 3 best players in the league on one team? Add in another all-star and a few good complements and that's good enough help to be the beast of the east. 2. Chicago Bulls - Imagine if a team like the Jazz were in the East when Deron and Boozer were on that team. That's what it'll be like here. Rose and Boozer, along with Brewer, Noah, Korver, Thomas, and Deng each provide certain tangibles and intangibles. So many promised veterans/rising talent along with the two all-stars in Rose and Boozer allow for a team that can certainly challenge the Magic and Celtics in the regular season. 3. Orlando Magic - If Dwight can improve his free throw shooting and offensive game, they could move up to second. Also if JJ Redick gets more playing time and can capitalize on his promising performance from the 2010 ECF, the Magic should be able to maintain their dominance as a plus 50 win team. If Carter can get off to a better start unlike last season, the Magic should be able to get momentum to start the season. 4. Boston Celtics - They won't have as bad of a second half as last year provided the injuries don't come about, but this team is primed for the playoffs. As long as they win their division to get home court in the first round, which will give them their momentum, they should be fine. With Perkins out for the first few months, JO has to be productive. Rondo should be even better and possibly be first team all NBA point guard. 5. Atlanta Hawks - It's amazing how long the Hawks have stuck with this core without making any huge changes. The team still hasn't shown much improvement in the playoffs since the almost-first round upset against Boston in 2008. Bibby or Teague must provide some jump to the offense and make plays. They need a big man, as that Orlando series exposed a huge weakness. 6. Milwaukee Bucks - For a small market team, they probably had one of the best offseasons. Losing Kurt Thomas hurts, but adding Maggette, CDR, and Drew Gooden, along with a fully healthy Andrew Bogut to start the season, they look very promising. While I project them to be the 6 seed again, they will have a much better season and could get 50 wins if everything clicks. Stackhouse is an X-factor. 7. Charlotte Bobcats - Losing Felton allows Augustine to run the show at point. If he can become a play maker and hit clutch threes, that should help Captain Jack and Wallace while they run the show. Now they get a full offseason for Steven Jackson and Tyrus Thomas. Losing Chandler and Ratliff hurts. Gaining Dampier won't do too much. Charlotte could compete with Milwaukee and maybe even Atlanta for the 5 seed. After Charlotte, things will be very interesting in terms of who makes the playoffs. 8. Cleveland Cavaliers - Things have changed. I'm a Cavs fan so there's no way I'm going to project standings without placing them in the playoffs. Who's going to challenge them for the 8 seed? New York? Amare hasn't single-handedly lead a team to a playoff berth, so there's no reason to expect he can lead this team. The Wizards and 76ers will improve, but the other teams are just rehashed versions of last seasons. Now, why the Cavs are better: Acquiring Ryan Hollins fills in the hole at center. That means Anderson Verajao, who was 2nd team all defense last year, is coming off the bench. JJ Hickson showed promising signs in the summer league. Albeit the summer league, Hickson did also show during the regular season what he can do. Mo and Jamison will bring the offense with double digit scoring night in and night out. Only thing this team needs is a leader to emerge. A lot of people forget about Byron Scott too. This is a huge chance to gain back hope and belief from the city of Cleveland following a devastating postseason/offseason. This is their chance to capitalize on it and do something special. And it can only be special if this happens. 9. New York Knicks - They'll contend with the Cavs for the 8 seed, but I just don't see them being that great. Amare obviously is a huge addition. Adding Felton gives them a starting point guard finally. But who's center? For their acquisitions, Randolph has shown signs of success and so has Azuibuike, but both haven't been consistent and have had injury problems. Gaining Tony Parker or Chris Paul would obviously change the scenario. 10. Philadelphia 76ers - They should get 30-35 wins. Brand is an issue. Hopefully Holliday can improve and Turner can become a good starter alongside Iggy. This team is the one team that I don't know what to expect. They could be a 40 plus win team depending on how good Turner is. 11. Washington Wizards - Adding Hinrich and Wall gives them a top guard duo in the league if Wall can pan out successfully. Gilbert is the question, but the team obviously has grown this offseason. Blatche will have expectations this offseason as well. 12. New Jersey Nets - All season they talk about getting LeBron, Wade, Bosh, or some mega star. What do they end up with? Travis Outlaw. But that can't be all right? Well they also got Anthony Morrow. Obviously they had the number 3 pick in the draft and drafted Favors. But do those three additions take them from worst team in the league to possible 7/8 seed? I don't think so. 13. Indiana Pacers - This whole team's success depends on Danny Granger. If Hibbert can improve off last season's impressive showing, the Pacers might have a nice future tandem of stars with Granger and Hibbert. Hopefully Paul Davis isn't a bust. 14. Toronto Raptors - They could be better than New Jersey, Indy, and Washington. A lot of athleticism has been added. If DeRozan starts all year and can be more consistent unlike last year, that would help. This is Sonny Weems chance to prove he can be a solid player in the league long-term. Barbosa and Davis were great additions, and losing Hedo was even better. 15. Detroit Pistons - Monroe finally adds some length, but they still need to lose Prince or Hamilton and blow it up already. Bynum is great off the bench but the team lacks a player who can really spark the team. -------------------- Playoff Predictions: Heat over Cavs in 5 Bulls over Bobcats in 6 Magic over Bucks in 6 Celtics over Hawks in 6 --- Heat over Celtics in 7 Bulls over Magic in 7 --- Heat over Bulls in 6 -- Lakers over Heat in 6
  22. Now we have 15 picks through 2015, and a starting center. Interesting how Mo and Sessions wind up on the same team again. Isn't Sessions the reason Milwaukee traded Mo? I love Hollins. Very athletic and has the size.
  23. Haha, I'm like the flip-flopper. This is a hilarious read.
